you lost me at loop hole.
Sorry, my brain is fried since I only had 3 hours sleep and was up at 4 am to work my 8 hour shift. Could you please explain this so a dumb ol' hillbilly could understand?
MQ board - the cyber watering hole

The Medquist board is a lot like going out to a bar after work with a lot of people from work and shooting the bull (minus the drinks, of course).  You fast learn who the relentlessly negative people are as well as the relentlessly positive (as in Pollyana with pink glasses).  Not interested in either of those extremes - then don't open their posts, just like you wouldn't sit with such people or engage them in conversation in the bar.  There are people who offer concrete advantages to Medquist just as there are people who offer concrete disadvantages.  The more you read, the more you see a pattern to both.  These are the most helpful.  There are people that offer useful tips in dealing with the software and increasing production.  No, not every Transcriptionist at Medquist knows about this board, but that doesn't tell you anything about how they feel about the company.  It only tells you that they don't know about the board.

The only paid training I had was for the original ASR class.  For DQS, I was mailed a VCR tape and an instruction booklet.  For refresher ASR classes, it was on my own time.

There is flexible part-time under 24 hours as I am considering going to that myself.  Since I am already an employee, I have the advantage of being able to ask my supervisor what her expectation is for that position since the consensus seems to be that the reality of the position will be determined that way.  What a new person should expect - quite honestly, who knows?

Best of luck in whatever you decide.
