state program.  As an IC you did not pay into unemployment and unfortunately you will not be able to collect.  As an employee, unemployment, state and Fed taxes are deducted and you would be covered under unemployment.  Your self employment tax does not cover unemployment - that goes to the government and counts toward your eventual soc security.  Why so mean and argumentative?  You attitude tells me there's more to this story you're not letting on. 


An IC is just that - an independent contractor.  If you had a painter painting your house and you had a disagreement, would he be able to run to the unemployment office and collect because you told him to get out?
