I've had Q.A. people at other companies I've worked for who told me that when they saw my reports they did them first as they knew they could go directly to the blanks and attempt to fill them in, which many times they said they could not, whereas most reports they had to almost completely re-type. I am NOT going to spend hours looking through old reports trying to find something to fill in a blank. I WILL try to find reports on difficult dictators and make myself a template for future reference. Maybe you can enlighten me....exactly what is the job of Q.A. these days? I've done Q.A. in house. I was called a supervisor and part of my job was to listen to things our MTs couldn't understand as well as doing a monthly Q.A. I never thought I was better, or smarter, or anything else than the MTs under my supervision. I was there to help. Things have changed, maybe I really am outdated. That's the reason I changed jobs (business for myself and not MT). MT is not a caree anymore, it's a job and just about on the level with Wal-Mart greeters. Those who try to make it something else are only kidding themselves or there wouldn't be so many posts on here from MTs who can't pay their bills, have to fight for work and work 24/7 trying to get their quota.
