Where were you when I entered the MT

field? I sure could have used this advice then. I have been transcribing for six years now. I learned on a terminal and the mainframe was downstairs in the basement. We didn't have Expanders and being the creatures of habit we humans are, I never learned to use an Expander until recently and only then due to chronic pain. So you can imagine I am not a heavy producer, but I care about quality and getting it right and I love to learn. I went into MTing out of necessity not desire. My desire was to be a physician assistant until my daughter became ill and so did I a year later. So this is all I know at 44 years of age and really interested in recession proofing, at least until I can train for a job I can do in chronic pain.

Thanks. Helpful post.

In my years there, it never entered my mind
to try to find out someone else's ID, to try to see the name of who transcribed other report. See, I have confidence in my own ability, and I really just worry about myself and the great work that I do. Maybe that's why I've been able to go places... and other people are angry, bitter, and laughing hysterically over something that's really not all that funny. :)
see above. Maybe someone entered information wrong. sm
Let them know. It is worth it to be persistent, especially with the new accounts. I have been there a while and have been through many changes. Unlike other companies, Keystrokes' changes benefit the employees, not take things away. Every change has been positive, just part of the growth. The longer I am with them, the more I am convinced that I will retire there. Hopefully in 5 years as these fingers are getting old and tired!
No, but the demographics are almost always already entered into the system for you.
I am sure it probably depends on your account as well, but all 5 of my accounts don't need demographics entered, except on a rare occasion when the dictator puts the wrong number in.
Thank you.. It was just what I was thinking... Rude kind of entered my mind but I let it go..
She obviously was offended by my post.
