Whether you apply on line or by written application, they have it covered

They have always had a disclaimer at the end of any paper Employment Application you fill out and sign, but now they also have them if you apply on line.  They cover it nicely by saying I authorize investigation.  That pretty much lets them do anything they want and without a written signature.

I covered that
My contract ends each year. I reassess if that same contract is working for me, if I want to raise my rates, etc and renew the contract. Many contractural relationships are handled this way.

When I owned my own client-to-service based service, I had a lot of government contracts, and they are sticklers for making sure you really know what you're doing with being a contractor. Now that I provide my services to a middle man, it's just the same on a smaller scale.

If ICs actually behaved like ICs and held the middle men accountable, you might see a livable wage actually still existent. Instead, posters as above who just dont want their own boat rocked mean that the crappy situation most MTs are in will continue.
All family is covered - all 3 of us have used ours. nm

Ok, I said the chocolate covered cherries but
I said, well almost. You just have to read all the post. Some ESLs on mine are better than the English so it can happen. I have 1 English speaking PA that it never gets and I have no idea why. Her reports are pure salad. I worked in a hospital before making both base and incentive and I only work part now so how to compare what I made then as to now? I have edited over 600 lines before BUT and read THIS, that is few and far between. The stars all have to be lined up for that to happen. I can and do do 400+ a line but am old and really have forgotten how much paid per line and per hour when working inhouse.
We are not hourly employees so we are not covered by that -
we are considered being paid by the piece and that is figured a separate way. That is why I had such trouble getting my unemployment because they said I was not an hourly employee and therefore was not entitled to unemployment.
to make sure the accounts are over-covered -- greed

FN is so very greedy.  Keep 'em over-covered for TAT.  Keep the gals scraping for bits.  They would rather have way too many MTs than have just enough.  I see things have certainly not changed...

Company Hack and Suckup...you covered it for us. n/m

We just covered this on the main board - probably a scam company -sm
In the past I have seen their ads (in every state) saying you can make mega $$$. However it is believed that they are XXXXX under a new name in order to get new victims. The company itself is actually in XXXXX, they say you have to buy the software they use $400 from another company (which they own too but have it hidden well). They then string you along with tests and practice dictation (which I suspect is real dictation) but you never get paid as you have passed the test, nor will you ever be quite good enough to pass. I know a few people that have done it, get strung along for 6 months or more then finally give up, eating the $400. So make a fuss and get their money back, reporting them to the BBB. As for no info, that is not good, if no phone number or address, or they make you buy stuff, steer clear.
Not management, don’t know about Transtech, fast typist, American, what have I not covered
Let's see, all the above have been said about me. I have been truthful trying to let others know about VR but the only thing most can do who are opposed accuse you of being too slow to make a decent salary, working as management, working for whatever company they are talking about and so on. I think I have reached my fill because others do not really care to understand. I went through why if VR threw in something wrong how a trained person would know and then someone came back asking if I were an American. If you cannot comprehend something seems like you just throw anything that might stick. I have tried because I have worked on VR now for about 7 years but no one wants to hear but what woes they face.
Remember, you are covered as long as you have documented Out of Work tickets - sm
You can still qualify for holiday pay if you try to get in your 32 hrs, and receive the NSA message. If there is no work, there is no work and they can't hold your holiday pay.
With Transtech insurance, do you have to meet deductible before office visits are covered? nm

MT job application
hi everyone.  I would like to ask help from everyone for referrals.  Im a CMT with 4 years of experience.  Im based in the Philippines.  Could you please refer me to any company who might have any vacancy.  Really appreciate your help.  thanks a lot
Thanks. I sent them an application. NM
/
I have an application with them also...sm
I tried searching the archives on them, but nothing came up. Does anyone have any specifics? TIA
Axlotl application. sm
About a month or so ago, I applied to Axlotl, after seeing their ad on a site.  Have heard nothing back so far.  Has anyone else had this happen with them?   I'd like to try again with them, if they will respond.   Thanks.
APPLICATION SCAM?

This is the scenario--Company advertises what sounds like a really nice position.  Resume is submitted.  Information and test is received with message to urgently return it, for the first one who passes the test will be hired.  Some time passes, so applicant decides to not continue with test, as someone probably already passed and was hired.  Recruiter is notified that applicant will not continue.  Then, recruiter contacts applicant to encourage her to complete the test anyway, because no real decisions will be made for a couple of days!!

Question:  Does this sound like one of those recruitment situations where the recruiter is using applicants as workers, to get some reports done?

I filled out an application
I filled out the application and sent in my resume. I was called for an interview and then asked to test, and I had the 2nd interview today and was hired. I am so excited!
SPI's new scheduling application
Are there any current SPI MTs who are willing to share their thoughts on the new scheduling application?
scheduling application

I find the application slow and clumsy.  No way can you sign out if you leave your computer every 5 mins... it really is the last straw.  Word has it they're going to dump us anyway and pull out of onshore accounts altogether.

thanks, I did the online application for TT
hope to hear from them soon.
Application Help Needed

I completed an on-line application and test for TransTech two weeks ago. After a week had passed with no response from TT, I called and the recruiter said they couldn't locate my application or test but that they would call back.  After not hearing from them for a couple of days, I started calling at least every other day until two days ago.  At that time, I called again, and the receptionist talked to the recruiter while I was still on the line and said they had found my app. and test and would call back within the hour. However, I have yet to receive a return call.  I'm certified and have 26 years of acute care experience and feel I did well on the test, but maybe the competition is stiff and I should take this as a rejection and move on.  Has anybody else experienced similar circumstances applying to TT?  Suggestions as to how I can get a response one way or the other would be greatly appreciated!

If you put in an application at Wal-Mart does it not ask for your SS#? sm
If you did not feel comfortable giving that info until hired, all you simply had to do was leave it blank. I am sure they would not have tossed your application due to that.
TransTech - application process

Can any experienced Transtech employees fill me in on the process of getting a job with TransTech? Did you need to follow up your application with an email, or is that too pestering? If they contacted you, how long did it take after you applied? Any other things you could fill me in on would be appreciated. I would really like to have some contact with this company.

Thanks!

Sure would be nice if they would respond to my application
wonder how long it takes
I was PAST the application stage.
I wanted to know if DRC was now OWNED by Acusis..that's it...jeesh

Personally, I don't want to work under an Indian company. Been there, done that. Thanks for the info.
Application process/testing
I am starting to think that all of this application and testing is a waste of my time! You spend hours at your desk and seem to get nowhere and not even get hired!
Tips on the application process
Good morning! Never give any information not asked for. If they don't ask if you have books, don't tell them. There are so many ways of researching on-line until you get the books that you would have been fine. Never, never say what you won't do until you actually talk to the recruiter after testing and they see you are going to be a quality employee. Then when you're specifically asked about scheduling during your job offer, say you'd prefer not to work Sundays. During the application process, when they ask if you are willing to work weekends, I always put yes, but for me this means Saturday. During my job interview/offer, that's when I let them know I prefer Sundays off. Maybe this will help for next time, along with prayer. (Oh please Father, I want this job, please, please, please). lol

I've worked for 3 different companies in the last 12 years and have always received replies to a job opening. The next time you apply, send a followup email the next day on the status of your application. I did this the very next day with all three companies. That is not being pushy...it's just letting them know you seriously want this job and are excited to know your status. Good luck, Dreamer! :)
MQ application form after interview

Needing a new job, I applied, tested and interviewed with MQ.  At the end of the interview, I was told there was one last thing I needed to do, which was to fill out another form.  An application similar to the screening application I had completed when I applied initially as I understand.  Well, I can't find it.  I've also called them twice about it and they said I had been sent an email about it with the link.  But, I have received no email about this and do not know where to find this form to complete.  I was hoping someone here would know.  If you do, please let me know.  Thank you in advance.

has anyone used the Keystrone online application?
I tried submitting it but it only brings me to a blank browser page.
Med-Scribe Application Test
Has anyone recently applied with Med-Scribe and taken their application test? I didn't think the test was difficult but I was told I did not pass it. I was wondering if anyone else has the same. results.
Well, it depends, in part, upon where your application went. sm
If it went to a recruiter, they often seem to work 24/7 (LOL). But if it went to a corporate office somewhere, then I'd not expect immediate action if submitted on a weekend. Some folks would be pushier than I tend to be, though. However, I don't think giving them a couple of days is unreasonable. :-)
I started the application process, but when they
asked for my social security number on the application, I decided not to pursue it. I don't want to give my SS# unless I'm hired.
I think sending your resume is the only application
There's nothing else to fill out, just send your resume.
I had a very bad experience through the application process.

Went through all testing, passed, had phone interveiw, the told me the liked what they saw, spent over an hour on the phone with the girl, and then she said she would send computer specification info and schedule form,  filled out the schedule and sent it back, and went to buy the computer....

Never heard from them again.  Called, only got voice mail, sent several e-mails over the course of 2 weeks, then I took another job (thanks Encompass... I like my new job), and about 2 months later, I heard back from them saying that they just got my e-mails...  HUH?

GOOD LUCK...

I just submitted an application to them. Can you give details? nm
nm
Ex-Spheris MT, HITS is a windows-based application...

you will type in.  It is very, very user friendly.  Frankly, it is the only aspect I miss about working for Healthscribe/Spheris.  Good luck!!

Not basing that criteria on a job application...Good grief! nm
s
I have tons of experience and I sent a resume to them and I filled out the application, took the
test, did fine, got a huge questionnaire to fill out that took about 1/2 hour or more then got a call and they wanted me to take an oral test and do another editing test.  I thought what is this.  This all took hours of my time.  I do think you have to clock in and out like at MQ and I am not interested in the least in doing that again.  Been there and done that.
You are lost and the WRONG site filling out an application for who knows what???nm

A line is a line is a line. Doesn't matter if we are talking about radiology or acute care.

1600 is not a fair minimum requirement.  Sure you can achieve 1600, it shouldn't be the required minimum.

Wow! That was well written!!!
You're a valuable asset to your company!
Serious. I said that it was well written and
that I thought they were a valuable employee for their company. ????
Again, could have written this also
My first 2 pay periods were on great accounts, made the minimum line count with rave reviews from QA. Then, BAM, started running out of work and put on back up accounts. No more work on primary account and only the hard work on the back up accounts. Harder to get line counts and more job stress.

I can't work for just one company anymore as this has happened to me more than once now. I think the better an MT you are, the more likely this is to happen to you.
Wow, very well written.
I, too, went through same thing. I took job #2. Have been making myself nuts, do I stay? do I go back? I have finally decided that I left #1 for good reasons. If #2 doesn't work out in the long run, I'll go elsewhere.
OMG, I could have written that! nm

Some of what has been written.....
here is not pretty, nor should we be proud of it, BUT I think it does reflect alot of frustration and that frustration can be seen in what has been written. It is frustrating as h#@# to have a career that was respected, paid you a good wage and that people looked upon as something the average person could not do without specalized training. Then slowly before your eyes you watch it start to disappear and then all of the sudden WHAM, almost every group of MT's you talk to anywhere, their jobs are gone, or their wages/hours are not enough to live on. I think that is what is showing through the most in these posts is the absolute helplessness one feels to be able to do anything about it. It is like a tsunami, you are warned it is coming, and you try your best to prepare for it and when that wave hits, it destroys nearly everything that was in place and then it starts sucking everything back out to sea. I think alot of us feel like we are being sucked out to sea and we are trying desperately to grab onto something that will keep us from going under. Pretty NO, truthful PRETTY MUCH. Scary, YES. Make you mad, SURE AS H#$$ DOES.
I could have written this........sm
I was very open minded about the VR and found that there was far too much editing and could not make money on it. They give you the razzamatazz that you have to use the short cut keys and ya ya ya......that is no good when every line has a few wrong words on it. The punctuation is off. Everything is off. It's garbage. I would certainly edit it and make it perfect but not for what these crooks want to pay me so I'm back to typing and yes, there are typing jobs out there. Just say NO to VR unless they pay 6 cents per line minimum.
Yes, so well-written, and now what?
When I take a step back what I see is that I should quit doing this work. When Pakistan/India/Afh really heat up and there is some technological glitch we'll have a few fun days in America when doctors are hand writing their reports. Big picture, that's what I see happening.
Most definitely NOT written by an MT.
..
Well written
I enjoyed reading your perspective. I am a recent graduate from a good program. I did not have much problem finding a job that has started me with above-average pay and good benefits. I am very happy with my choice. I would share that on the new MT board, but I will certainly be called a liar and other delightful names.
