Why?

I am making more than that right now without benefits? I am making 12-12.5 cpl without benefits as an independent contractor and in my post, it states the two hospitals in my area pay 10-10.5 cpl with benefits and bonus for weekend and holidays and 2nd shift differential. Is it possible that not all companies pay their employees the same?? That they may offer their transcriptionists with experience and can do all ESLs, OP reports exclusively with over 98% accuracy with extensive ESL experience? So, hee, hee, hee, I make more than that. And if we all settle for less, how can we ever expect more from the companies.

In my position with the hospital, I make 17.25 an hour with 2.50 differential and bonus incentives, small but it is at least something. None of the hospitals in my area outsource. So their are good places out there. Sorry if I remain optimistic!
