It really does help to hear that once in a while.  Twenty-five years is plenty.  Would be interested to know whether you picked a long or short straw.  As for what can be done, there really are not too many options.  You get up in the morning, put one foot in front of the other and march through time until you get to the end of it all.  I've taken tougher blows than this in the past.  Would not still be here if I hadn't learned how to land on my feet.  It is not that easy to turn my back on my own MT self.  It is so much a part of who I am.   Because of that, I take this particular (ASR) challenge very personally.  Whether I stick it out or leave the field, I will never lose sight of the need to turn those tables on the comanies and forge some changes.  This can be done from a distance just as easily.
