'...It has taken a lot of searching and talking to others on my platform to really understand the differences between straight typing and editing. It really is a whole new skill.'

I also do both, straight and VR. Please would you specify WHAT is so NEW and DIFFERENT in doing VR?
A whole new skill? Are you kidding me?
The ONLY thing that is new about it is that one has the option to use the 'shortcuts', that is substituting the mouse usage with keystrikes, and has to learn those by heart. This, supposedly, allows for faster editing. Otherwise it requires the SAME skill, demanding very good knowledge of medical terminology, grammar and spelling.
Please enlighten me if you can. I am doing both, straight and VR, so stick to facts!
Oh, something else is new: The line rate of 4cpl.
