I'll tell you my experience. When I was hired, I was sent 3 pages regarding my account. No samples, no anything. One of the big guys (they have no trainers) did a one-minute training session. After that, you are on your own. If you know somebody else who works there who can send you information on the account, it makes it easier. Don't plan on anything else from your account manager. Don't email for information, it won't be answered. You won't EVER hear from your account manager unless they are sending the endless emails about work backing up and how everybody needs to be on there (this is on the weekends). You don't get OT. The benefits are good, but good luck in getting them. I waited MONTHS to even get my insurance cards, all the while paying for them every paycheck. You don't get updated doctors or PA lists and when you can't find them you have to send to editing, and that counts against you. Even addendums, which HAVE to be send to editing, count against you, even though required. They send out pictures of themselves at events and spend a lot of time patting themselves on the back, but they seem to think they run the company without any help from any of us. Find ONE single account manager who has ever done transcription...good luck on that one too. You have to sign an agreement saying the adapter for your foot pedal and the foot pedal itself will cost you 400.00 EACH if they are not returned, or if they are returned not working. They aren't layered in gold either, they are basic food pedals you can buy for about 100.00. The platform freezes up a LOT and if you have problems with it, which you will, good luck getting any help from the so called tech guy. They have pagers but they don't answer them. It could be a good company if they had experienced people running it and had trainers and such, but the way it is now you either sink or swim on your own. The pay is based on how much you type. If you do the required 10,000 lines per pay period and you take out insurance, you clear maybe 300 a week.
