Payperiod ... 2 wks....6K lines/week or 12K payperiod.
nm
yes......by by the 31st.

They don't have to mail it until Jan 31st.
x
That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.

That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.

OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.

I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.

Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
Per payperiod. (nm)

I bet you made more than $42 last payperiod.

So we know it's worse out there than what we have it.

End of payperiod? Good Lord

12000 lines per payperiod

when and time cutoff of payperiod??
Say you work Saturday and the payperiod cutoff time is midnight (now the next payperiod beginning)  but your shift is not over until 3 a.m.   Is it something like this maybe.
What is their payperiod -- 2 weeks or bimonthly?

No. You have a line count to maintain per payperiod.
A proposed schedule is asked. Hours are not monitored for SEs.
Current payperiod ends this Sunday 8/26...sm
Payday is 9/3 (but believe that is the holiday so not sure how that works). Pay is every other week on Mondays, so the following PP will be paid on 9/17. PPs run Mon-Sun. HTH
Only time I tend to run out is last weekend of payperiod when OT has been (sm)
authorized starting on Friday. Not too worried, looks like they are hiring more. Makes me think they are anticipating a new account and want to get people on and trained and ready.

This company is too good for me to give up on.
the employee plus spouse (not the family plan) is 145 a payperiod.
.
Webmedx - don't think I get get line count in for payperiod this time. (sm)

Several days of no/low work and last weekend when usually can pick up lines there was nothing.  This weekend will be last weekend of payperiod so I don't hold any big hopes for that.

I am relatively new to Webmedx and this will be the first time I haven't hit the requirements.  Can you tell me what might happen if anything.  Thanks.

Webmedx PTO rate of 1.08 hours per payperiod and only for Full-time Employees
Webmedx only gives PTO and insurance to full-time employees.  No PTO for the first 3 months, then something like 1.08 hours per pay period, starting at 0.  If they run out of work or your ISP goes down or your child gets sick and you cannot get in the full 35 hours to qualify for full-time, they want you to use your PTO to make sure your hours add up to 35 that week.  If you fall below 35 hours for 3 months in a row, no matter what the reason, they automatically drop you to part-time and take away your insurance.  Then, you have to work a minimum of 35 hours for the next 3 months before you will be eligible for insurance again.  As far as holidays, if the holiday falls on your scheduled work day, you have to work, unless you ask for it off in advance, but they do pay you for 8 hours of holiday at your normal rate, in addition to any lines you type that day.
1st and 15th pay
I know for Keystrokes, there are no 'waiting' days in between. The checks are in the bank on the 1st and the 15th, so Im not sure about that one!
15th and 1st
nm
Usually around the 15th

My surgeons usually give me 1/2 of my average monthly invoice, another office  invites me to their potluck and small gift exchange.  The doctors give out small gift cards to us.   Regular employees  might get larger bonuses, have never compared.   I think it is nice what they do for me and I truly appreciate it and do not take for granted.   Another one is a very small office and the gal and I go to lunch usually her treat between Christmas and New Years.   I make them all goodies, Chex mix and cookies or warm muffins first thing in the morning and give a nice calendar personalized with my name on it.    Yep I appreciate my accounts.

1st and the 15th nm

Pay periods run from the 1st through the 15th, and sm
the 16th through the end of the month.  They have a LOT of different accounts, so I don't think there is any way to comment on the ESLs.  Like anywhere, it will vary from hospital to hospital.  And yes, line count is attainable with FT work.  Hope this helps.  I'm happy there!
I'm paid 1st and 15th
NM
No it isn't. Pay is the 1st and 15th for employees and sm
2nd and 16th for ICs. It is for the previous two-week period.

For example, the period that just ended on 4/15 will be paid on 5/1. It is two weeks, not six.

I think people should have to be giving facts on these boards, not rumors. Call the companies directly. I am sure they all have similar pay structures; the last two companies I worked for were just like this and the hospital I worked at prior to them was as well.
Question regarding 1st and 15th pay -

This has nothing to do with Keystrokes, I work for another company.  Pay is suppose to be on the 1st and 15th of each month.  I get direct deposit and my account is not credited until around the 6th and 19th.  When management was confronted, I was told this is standard.

On the 1st and 15th of each month
They have direct deposit and always pay on time.
Yup, twice monthly on the 1st and 15th.
NM
You bill 30 days behind, and they snail mail it so it's late - about 40 days from invoice
No way jose - they even messed up their direct deposit payments
1st through the 15th, 16th through the end of the month. nm

Payday supposed to be 1st and 15th.sm
Received it 10 to 15 days after that date. I do not think we are talking about same company. I worked for BTS, not Sten-Tel.
Does Keystrokes pay on 15th and 30th?nm
x
PS This was Saturday the 15th, payday
NM
Not sure if it is still true, but they used to pay once a month, on the 15th, sm

and no direct deposit.  I almost took a position with them, but that kind of backed me off.  Good luck!

The pay periods end on the 15th and the last of the month. sm

As the other poster said, generally we are paid witihin a week after that.  I think the latest I have received my pay was on the 10th.  It is true that it is a bit odd not having a set pay date, but at least I can sure I will be paid.  I read horror stories on here of companies giving bad checks or not paying at all, and it makes me cringe.  I am my sole support, so if I do not get paid, my world turns upside down in a hurry.

If you are considering working for them, I wouldn't let that back me off if I was you.  They say the techs are working to fix it so that the line count doesn't have to be done manually, so perhaps in the future, it will be better.

Pay period is 1st and 15th of every month
I submitted my timesheet on 08/31 after working 2 weeks to be paid on the 1st.  They have direct deposit and the check is not in my account.
Usually pay period ends on the 15th and last

day of month.  Then you get paid somewhere around the 22nd for pay period ending on 15th and get paid around the 6th for pay period ending on the last day of the month.  If you work as an IC you may could expect pay one day after submitting an invoice, but if you work for a company it takes time to process payroll and then if DD it has to be submitted and it takes more than 1 day for that.

When I worked for KS took me almost a month to get my first check.

Paydays are on the 1st and the 15th, unless it is a weekend, then sm
it is the following Monday.  Welcome to Keystrokes -- hope you love it as much as I do.
My co also pays 1st and 15th or is supposed to but nothing about 4th and 20th so must sm
not be the same company. So there are more than one out there who should not be in business obviously!
Direct deposit on the 1st and 15th of the month. nm

They do direct deposit on 15th and 1st of each month.
nm
I am paid prompty by DD on the 15th and 30th
for the lines I typed the previous month.  Sorry to disagree with you, but there are no standard practice of pay as an IC.  Employees should be paid promptly on the expected date, whether that be every two weeks or on the 15th and 30th of each month.
I know that payday is on the 15th, but since the 16th is President's Day, sm

do you think we will be paid on Friday like we were last payday?  This is only my 2nd payday, so I was just curious.  If I have to wait until the 17th, then so be it.  I don't want to be lectured by those I have seen about people expecting to be pair early.  As I said, it happened before, and I just wondered.  Since it is getting late and I have not yet received an email with my paycheck stub, it is looking like probably not.

Thanks!

When I was hired I was told the 15th and 30th, but
handbook says 15th and last day of month. I sure was disappointed.
Pay period ends on 15th, checks on the 20th. This
is pretty standard industry-wide.
Paydays are the 1st and the 15th. If the payday falls on a weekend sm

the official rule is that we get paid the following Monday. However, the last 2 times it fell on a weekend and it was a Saturday, we were paid the Friday before (yea!!).  There is a listing of all of the official pay dates for 2009.  You should ask S for it.

Maybe she/he works 14 hour days/7 days a week? nm
x
They are clear that they post the checks for the 1st and 15th and the banks determine when they are
I do know one thing though from talking to someone about increasing my 401k deduction, that they did not realize that Monday was a holiday or they would have pushed them through for today like they did for New Year's Day's check. That person also told me that starting next month, if it falls on Saturday, it will pay on Friday, if it falls on Sunday, it pays on Monday. I joked that I knew she did not have kids or she would know that it's a school holiday and I was right! Those of us with kids know more of the holidays because we have to keep track of days off.
Would that be 5 business days or 5 regular days?
So when are we going to be paid this time around since you're so knowledgable?

Sorry, but for some of us a day or 2 actually makes a difference.
Most want 20 hours over 5 days, but it could be more, or it could be spread over 4 days. nm

It is true. Any job has its good days and bad days.
Perhaps you'd like to just keep your old job and try this one out. Just because a poster here is crabbing about it, or even if as in the past there have been negative posts, odds are that there are very happy people who don't even post or know that this board exists. As Alice says. Everything is relative. The fact that this company is hiring and pays may be a place which is a blessing. As opposed to digging ditches on day labor for example. Or somebody might prefer digging ditches. This is just an example. Sometimes we who are employable, even though we don't make as much as we used to in this business, or as much as we would like to, we still if working at home do not pay for gas to go to work, career clothes, deal with office politics, have to look at a boss who writes us up if we are a minute late, etcetera. I don't make half as much as I used to, but I don't send my 3 children to day care which by the way saves us money. SO I remind my husband I am worth that in addition to my salary if I had a job outside. No job is perfect. I am not even sure if Focus is any good or not, I have not worked there. But if one poster says there are good days and bad, I say that is the most honest answer you are going to get anywhere, and if you need a job badly, how is it to hurt trying it out, until you know for sure for yourself? THanks for listening. But sometimes this board gets to be a bit much with the agendas of people railing on other people like the OP here who just wanted all opinions instead of just one side. Balance is always great. And, if things seem lop-sided, then it is a good thing to seek out both sides. IMHO.
