First baby, I took off 3 weeks. Second baby, I took off 4 days (yep, 4 days). Had the baby on a Wednesday night (I had already put in my shift on Wednesday during the day) and was back at my desk on Monday morning. I had a c-section the second time around and couldn't hardly do anything around the house but I could sit at my desk and work. I had planned to take off the normal 8 weeks but after 4 days was bored with sitting around doing nothing and I could hear my computer calling me.

If your an IC, remember you are self-employed and your MTSO does not need a reason to get rid of you. If your an employee, I wouldn't really worry about it.
