TRANSCRIPTION TRENDS
I work in a hospital that values MTs, i.e., chasing the doctor down through Emails . . what did you say here _____ (blank). One physician (ESL) does not even read the chart properly and gives wrong values to tests. We have access to the chart, electronically and can check it. How do off site transcriptionists REALLY do 98% quality? Transcription is like a song. . you get the chorus. . .then you hear the song again, you get that artists word, et cetera. We have a difficult job, being the doctor's pen, and yes we could easily do 1000 lines within our own hospital. Not a smorgasboard nationally. It does not work that way and never should have come to this.
