Serving Over 20,000 US Medical Transcriptionists

you are so right about the monthly cycles here...

it goes around and around. I personally experienced exactly what you said with both TT and Keystrokes. Yet when the dust settles...

I also agree with your thanks but no thanks. I work for the money, or I wouldn't. Just pay me and respect me...but don't schmooze me.

That runs in cycles
Hospital can't find transcriptionists, don't want to pay benefits, don't want to buy the equipment or want to use the space for something that pays and then they outsource.  After they outsource for awhile, they don't like the quality of the work, don't like the turnaround time, don't save as much as they thought they would or can't verify the bill and then they bring it back in house.  After awhile, they can't find transcriptionists, etc, etc and so forth.
monthly pay
Is the average pay around $1000.00 month and is this good pay for a MT.
2 cpl - don't know about monthly yet.

Meant to say Sph and MQ for about $350 monthly
sorry about that
Yup, twice monthly on the 1st and 15th.

You should be able to see weekly and monthly
below the counts for the day. My understanding is that each day is reset at midnight (facility server's local time), each week on Saturday at midnight, and each month on the last day of the month at midnight (again, facility's local time zone).

So you can see the current day, but only summaries for the previous week and month, not individual previous days.
Really? Your STM should be holding these at least monthly
I would check with your STM to find out when he/she holds her team conference calls.
Job offer that pays bi-monthly..sm

I am looking into a position that pays on the 15th & last day of the month.  Has anyone had experience with this?  I'm used to being paid every other week currently so I'm just wondering how this works out.  Thanks!

What do you mean? Don't you have to submit a monthly schedule? sm
I have always had to submit a schedule and they expect you to adhere to it so I am not understanding what you are talking about.  Please post reply.  TIA
typo being your monthly salary
ROTFL
Anyone care to share how much their pay is monthly??

I forgot to mention, MDI will reimburse you a little bit monthly for LD.
I forget the amount, but ask about reimbursement for long distance charges. They also have accounts that are on waveplayer, so no long distance needed. Check on things.
I hope the typo is your monthly salary. nm

No, she said 1000 monthly - not weekly. Less than minimum wage! nm

Monthly, I bring in $3500-4000, about $1800 every 2 weeks.
I work about 5-6 hours a day, Monday through Friday.  Sometimes I work a little extra if I didn't get the line count I wanted that day due to dictators, etc.  Consistently, I bring in this much as an IC.   It hasn't always been this way, you need to get to know your accounts and then it will come.  I have the same accounts and dictators every day working for a national.
Puleeze! I heard that monthly for 2 years. I will believe it when I can count lines on it. nm
