I have downloaded DQS on [2008-05-11]
four different computers. It is the easiest program to download anywhere on the planet. My guess is that your computer may not have been sufficient to handle it. How much memory do you have?

Person above said they downloaded update. Do you have that yet? sm [2008-04-24]
I don't because was not sure we were supposed to yet. Never received official go ahead. Maybe there are problems with update version.

Just a heads up. Have you downloaded the BOS on the [2008-03-17]
.

Thank you. I'm sorry you downloaded your next job instead [2008-01-23]
of logging off. I've done that before and more often than not, I forget to mark that little box so it's my last job.

Now the next one that downloaded says it was dictated [2008-01-10]
12/26/2007. What is going on?

I canniot see page numbers at all. I downloaded it from QNET. Thanks anyways! nm [2007-10-01]

unorthodox, but I downloaded (sm) [2007-09-18]
a freeware program called Notesbrowser and copy a TON of info into it. It takes a little getting used to, but you can pull it up and search for info without touching a mouse, and it's much faster than pulling up the CP. I also store a list of charts I've routed to QA to refer back to later, words/terms I had to look up (along with what I thought they sounded like originally), etc.

Has anyone's Schedule Source time downloaded [2007-08-16]
nm

I downloaded it, and it now (sm) [2007-07-30]
sits on my desktop. Don't remember what I did, but followed the instructions I was given, had no problem and saved money to boot.

Why are some downloaded reports marked for QC [2007-03-13]
nm

Yes. I had completed a job, uploaded it and downloaded [2007-03-07]
the next job when I lost my Internet connection. When I got my connection back the system would not let me recover the job I had already transcribed and uploaded (it came back to me). Never had this happen before. I just did the DQS upgrade this morning.

Just downloaded the new software [2007-02-14]
because apparently I didn't do it right the first time. Now I'm getting that frustrating box that asks why I'm leaving a QA marker (I don't care for that). Once we choose WHY we are leaving a marker, what are we supposed to write in the QA box that pops up, if anything? So far I've left them blank. But what I'm also going crazy about is the inability to change headings in ASR reports! I remember reading about that on here but I wasn't having that problem at the time so didn't understand. Was there a trick to it? Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. :)

I haven't downloaded anything, but QA feedback is there [2006-08-25]
on reports that I have sent to QA. Check and see, I'll bet you'll see it.

I downloaded the Digitalhands thing...sm [2006-07-20]
I just let them know that I am using one of their work stations. When I was done there was a little icon down on the lower right-hand side of the taskbar. I rebooted and the thing disappeared. I have not been restricted from any sites. I think you are all worrying about nothing.

Temporary cards can be downloaded from the [2006-07-03]
It's no big deal to get cards into your hands. Just make sure the changes are made to the appropriate forms for changes.

Not me. I work for ME, and I just downloaded it and all went well..nm [2006-05-02]

When did this happen? I downloaded work the normal work this morning. [2006-01-12]
Another fiasco uncovered?

I have Instant Messanger downloaded [2005-10-07]
onto my laptop as well and I haven't had any problems with it!

Google

Shortcut for windows [2008-09-05]
I downloaded the free trial version, and I am just curious as to what happens when you have the same abbreviations as ShortHand does that stand for something else..does it delete something when you merge everything together? So confused :(

No, it isn't that hard, but you are wrong. [2008-08-27]
You hit it before your last job. You type the next job AFTER you hit it. Then it won't download ANOTHER job for you. You type the last job downloaded and THEN you log off.

PC protection [2008-08-15]
I had something similar happen to me about a month ago. It even had a Microsoft shield. I didn't lose any work time thank goodness. I called technical right away, I knew anything that you can't get out of in 3 or 4 attempts is usually a virus or spyware. I don't know how old your PC is but I received a new one in March. The version of McAfee on my new PC will not even allow you to download Adware. McAfee sees Adware as a type of spyware. Someone from the Geek Squad told me that too. Technical suggested Spybot so I downloaded that, my PC ran terrible after the install and I couldn't get that off of there fast enough. I later found out that had been black listed. Microsoft has their own software for protection of spyware, virus, etc. I am currently using Live OneCare on a free trial. There is also Windows Defender, that one might be free of charge but I'm not sure. I did talk to technical prior to the download as I did not want to cause any problems with any current software on my PC. OneCare lets me know when there is a threat and takes care of right away, all I have to do is click on it after the threat message shows up at the bottom. Here is the link to the Microsoft security website. Hope it helps. I suggest back up on a flashdriver. They are easy to use, small, they don't scratch, you can take them anywhere anduse them whereverthere is a USB port, and very inexpensive, 4.0 GB should do nicely. http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?form=MSHOMEsetlang=en-usq=anti+spywaremkt=en-us

Seriously... [2008-07-28]
It's not that they'd tell you okay, but for starters, they neither have the time nor the desire to see what you have on your PC. Of course, I'm not talking about anything illegal, pornographic, etc. TS won't advise loading programs, so don't bother calling them. But you may have problems with your DSL speed, etc. I inadvertently downloadeda fewtaskbars which did the same thing. When TS went into my PC and noticed it, they were uninstalled. That was that. This isn't an endorsement, it's simply the truth from what I've seen. TS is far too busy to wonder/care what we load on our PCs. One TS person told me the exact, same thing in the past. Heck, one of my friends who left MQ 6 months ago still has their PC sitting in a corner and not being used. They still haven't said anything. She doesn't have the $ for the boxes. Frankly, she'd prefer it wasn't taking up the space.

Sound quality lately is poor [2008-06-27]
I have had that problem more so now than when I downloaded the latest upgrade. The sound quality is awful, and it actually hurts your ears.

Here's how it was explained to me...sm [2008-06-05]
Even if our DQS reports are downloaded and uploaded to and from the MQ mainframe, we still have the opportunity to copy and paste information to a personal file on our computer before uploading and can basically do anything we want with that information... including creating a database of names, SSNs, DOBs, etc., for sale to someone who will use that information for evil and/or illegal purposes. If we MQ MTs can do it here in the US, so can any MT anywhere else in the world who works for MQ. How it was explained to me was that regardless of HIPPA (or HIPAA or whatever the heck it is), if a medical record is ''leaked'' out to a third party from someone who transcribed it in another country, our laws cannot be enforced over there. If it happens on US soil, we can and probably will be sued. Not much different than when someone from another country commits a murder in the US and then returns to their country of origin... the US cannot prosecute there and their country does not have to extradite (?) them back to the US if they don't want to. I'm not saying this is the gospel truth, just how it was explained to me by someone I trust who knows a lot more about international law than I do. If anyone has any further insight or proof for or against this reasoning, please enlighten us.

not necessarily [2008-05-25]
just because you work on a network in India, doesnt mean you can't copy or cut and paste data onto a disk or flash card. Besides, U.S. based work, although done in our homes, are done on company computers on a web based program downloaded to a company file server, and nothing, nothing is saved on our hard drive. Moreover, there has NOT been one case, where an American transcriber ever sold or attempt to sell confidential information. But, a Pakistani transcriber did and here is the link. http://www.hinduonnet.com/thehindu/2003/11/28/stories/2003112803561300.htm

I just tried to download AVG....sm [2008-04-26]
and I got a message saying that it is not advisable to have to antivirus programs running at the same time. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to that kind of technical stuff. From an MQ standpoint, what is your opinion on McAfee, already installed on the MQ computer, or AVG or something else? I guess I always thought that just having McAfee was safe enough but now Im not sure. Even though the virus threat here wasn't real it makes me wonder if there are real ones that McAfee isn't catching. It seems like I can't go a single pay period without losing hours because something is always going wrong with my computer. (Aside from my internet provider who seems to have problems only at night when Im working). For instance, at least once a month I will have a problem in DocQScribe where when I press the foot pedal the cursor will go away and I cant listen and type at the same time. Then when I let off the pedal it continues to talk for a second or two then the cursor takes a second or two to appear before I can start typing. Very frustrating! So I do all the scans, clean the computer, etc......and it doesn't work. So I'll shut the computer off and then I have hours to try to make up. I work third shift because it is impossible for me to work during the day with all the interruptions I get from the kids and stuff. Therefore, I am not able to always make up my hours. I fear losing my job. Then there are times when I click over to the internet to research something and when I go back to DQS.....the screen comes back one little thing at a time sometimes it will take forever to finish. I thought maybe it was DQS but the same thing happens on the internet....one...thing.....at....a.....time. Or it will just be stuck with only a partial screen. Any advice? Would AVG or some other virus protection be better for me? I just downloaded AdAware the other day hoping this would help. I don't know yet. The other thing is (I'll call MQ about it, but want to see if anyone else with an MQ computer has this prob.) when I try to do a....um....Ugh! I can't think of what it's called right now....when it basically compresses the files to free up space...it tells me it can't because I have to run a CHDSK (or something like that). I do delete the history and cookies. I delete the temp internet files and all that stuff. I try to keep the computer as clean as possible but those are the 2 problems that just happen ALL the friggin time. I don't think I've gone an entire pay period without one of those things happening and it seems like it only happens when I'm working!!! But that's how my luck is. So, any thoughts or helpful advice? Again, thanks in advance. I really appreciate you guys!!

I think you're talking about something different...the retrofit... [2008-04-17]
Docuscribe 5.13 is available now. I downloaded it from documanage. I've noticed several great updates.

new DocQ. sm [2008-04-14]
A short while ago, while on the Statistics page and going to check my line count, I inadvertently clicked on DocQScribe and it downloaded the latest up-dated version. This was done as a complete mistake, but I am glad it happened because there are changes that I really like, especially the tone control that you mentioned. Also, all of the physicians addresses are now on the physicians list, and their specialty is noted under their name on the ADT screen. I, like you, always wait until we get an email saying to download the newest version, but oh well, it works for me.

This is fixed in the latest version of DQS [2008-04-07]
Have you downloaded the latest version? (I think it is 5.3 or 5.13--something like that, not signed on at the moment.)

Vista [2008-04-04]
Windows Vista works great with DocuScribe and DocQmanage. I love it. I have windows vista on my laptop and from time-to-time work on it, so I downloaded the DocQmanage on my laptop and really have had no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps!

I also got all mine credited except...sm [2008-03-13]
for 2 jobs that never downloaded the morning the system first went down.

no..sm [2008-03-12]
Because I hadn't worked since last friday, and there were 67 jobs reserved for me. Of course, none of them actually downloaded, and then there were no jobs available.

I reinstalled DQS and that sm [2008-03-11]
took care of the resetting part for me. I figured I wouldn't get too far with support when we first had trouble today, so I uninstalled it and then re-downloaded it, but I was lucky enough to get into to DQM at the time. I also had a box saying DQS encountered a problem the last time it was shut down, and wanted me to explain what had happened. The reinstall took care of that, too--until it went totally down again a few hours later. I haven't tried it again since then. My scheduled shift was pretty much done, so I gave up for the day, especially when I seen all the lines that hadn't showed up yet.

ahhh - I see what you mean. s/m [2008-02-22]
I did a search of the archives and apparently there was quite a stir back in july 2006 when they sent out postcards asking employees to visit the website and answer a few questions. It seems they secretly downloaded this program to the computers of those that logged on and answered the questions. I don't recall getting that postcard, but I've gotten a new computer since then anyway and I'm sure all computers are sent out with that program already downloaded. I'm pretty sure now, more than ever, that they can track our every move via this nice little program. The only ones safe from this are those who own their own computer. I guess I will be buying my own computer in the very near future. Thanks for the info/warning. I definitely appreciate it.

When will QASAR be started? [2008-02-20]
Does anyone know when QASAR is going to be implemented again? I downloaded the new version of DQS yesterday and it is not being activated with that new version that I can see.

Dates [2008-02-20]
My PS sent an E-mail and gave the date date of being available Feb. 19 or Feb. 20. Just clicked on DocQScribe like when we update and it downloaded the new version for me. I had received no E-mail from my PS of a delay which would not surprise as MQ does lack in the communication area. Have had no problems with it, however, and it does follow the Release Notes of DocQscribe version 5.13 I printed out.

MQ tracks my computer use? [2008-02-13]
How do those idiots track anything? They know I took another job. I did not sign anything that said I would not use their computer for anything other than DQS. But bottom line, I just do not care. MQ income is chump change and I do not rely on them to pay my bills. My new company downloaded the software on the MQ computer. They have no issues with it. Can MQ afford to have more issues than is already on their plate? They can't keep employees, middle management or MTs.

Only a matter of time before MQ sees the breach....sm [2008-02-13]
I for one am not happy with some of the changes but would certainly not resort to anything so illegal. I'd be more worried about being sued by such a big corporation than being fired. I also don't even think you can completely delete whatever has been already downloaded. Everything is traceable even deleted e-mails...

Don't know if I can do it... [2008-01-23]
Just got done typing a note where I understood about one word out of each paragraph and felt awful about the amount of QA markers I had to leave. Downloaded the next note and it's the same dictator with an even longer note. I'm just staring at it. I still have another hour and 45 minutes to go on my shift and really could just cry the rest of it! Definitely am not getting my numbers in tonight.

I don't think so. [2008-01-08]
I'm downloading and uploading the jobs to my computer. Unless they are monitoring my keyboard with some type of Spyware program, they don't know what I'm doing between the time the job is downloaded and uploaded. Who told you this?

I've done it before... [2008-01-08]
Part of my job as super was to check on MT's, how long they were in any particular job, how many jobs they abandoned and how many times they clocked out. They may not know what you are doing, but they can see what time you downloaded a job, how long you were in that job and what time you uploaded it. If it was just a short job and it took you 30 min to type it, they would probably question it.

I've had an MQ computer for about 4 yrs now [2007-12-17]
and it has all kinds of stuff on it that I've downloaded. I figure it's my main computer, and anything I need to help me with my work can be there. When I give it back, I'll erase the disk and they can start fresh. I think as long as it's not hurting their system, and you can still work on it, it shouldn't matter.

I am leaving soon..expander question [2007-11-13]
I gave notice. I am not technically smart for the computer stuff. Advice please on what to do with MQ expander. I will call tech support, but what should I ask? Download Expander to hard drive? Can it be downloaded to autocorrect. It sounds like I also will need a medical spellchecker. Any advice on which one? And do they mesh with Word spellchecker? Sorry for being so dumb. Hey, I write a mean report though ! Thanks
