Interesting take on your QA scores [2008-08-30]
If they'd potentially nuke lines, is it possible that they might could tweak QA scores, too?
This is no slam to QA, but it makes me wonder in a big way.
Same thing happened to me [2008-08-30]
Not long after I started doing ASR I started to have really bad pain in my shoulder, arm and neck, and I have a plate and screws in my neck, and recently had back surgery. This has exacerbated the pain in my neck.
My experience with ASR has not been good, perhaps because I am a little depressed that my pay has been cut by 30%, which has greatly reduced my monthly income.
I always hated it when that happened [2008-08-19]
to me, and to top it off, QA couldn't even get all the blanks.
I'm a little late reading what happened to you earlier in the week...sm [2008-08-09]
I had to scroll way down to find the thread. Just wanted to say I'm sorry that had to happen to you especially in this economy.
I don't agree with what you did but definitely see the reasoning behind it.
They probably did a random audit and just found out what was happening and because it was happening consistently felt the need to not even give you a warning.
Like other posters have said, there are other companies out there with great benes...just have to find the right fit for you...as they say when one door closes...another opens...
Good Luck!!
I find it so interesting that after a long bonus [2008-08-05]
weekend, I have work on my primary tonight, a few hours worth even (whereas typically Monday nights it's swim in ye ol cesspool variety.Didn't anyone work this weekend? Was the 3 cpl bonus not enough for you unhappy people????
(I'm just pulling yer chain...I didn't work...3 CPL is NOT enough for me to change my life for the weekend and come up with diddly squat and hours of frustration).
I wonder if a lot of people have quit, there's been a whole lot more work lately, workers are discouraged, or what????
It is an interesting read...sm [2008-08-05]
Iam unable to make a move for another few months, so will see what direction things are going in. On one hand, every acquisition/merger since MRC caused anxiety among the employees and coworkers telling me to find another job like they did (many of whom returned). On the other hand, I am not happy about MQ being owned by a company with a reputation such as CBay.I take what MQ management says with a grain salt, will study the situation and make a decision (stay or leave) that feels right to me. At least they are acknowledging that we have concerns.
Really interesting e-mail from Michael Clark about CBay and [2008-08-04]
other concerns. It sounds like he has been reading the posts on this board. It does sound encouraging though.
Interesting, but when is a decision to be made, I wonder? [2008-08-01]

I'm wondering what happened about the transcription class action suit. [2008-07-31]
nm
I don't know if it's ever happened to me, but [2008-07-28]
I wouldn't worry about it. The only way that will bite you in the butt is if it's checked for a random QA audit. Otherwise, both reports will go to the dictator and he'll be too embarrassed (or at least he should be) to make anything of it. Not only that, but since it's a hospital, he probably doesn't care (or even know) that the hospital's been billed for each report.
Type on and don't worry about it.
That is interesting [2008-07-12]
because the same things just happened to me today. Got the package papers in the mail and some chick called trying to do a survey. I told her we had a very poor connection and I could hardly understand her, which was true, but she just kept rattling on. The first question I clearly understood was how did I rate my super, and I answered very unsatisfactory, that is why I quit and told her since I could hardly hear her I didnt have time to do this and hung up. I wish I could have answered all the questions you mentioned, but I have no patience for that sort of thing.
That is interesting, thank you! I wonder [2008-07-09]
why MQ was so sure that everything would stay the same? It's only been a month and look at all the stuff wonderful folks (like you) are finding otherwise.
I hope you come back and update even though you're moving to greener pastures!
I now understand, I think, what happened. [2008-07-03]
Had you just left it blank with a QA note saying possible discrepancy here, that would have probably received a different response from QA. As MTs, we are never to put any emotion or imply anything, even humorous, on a QA note, because its really a permanent part of the patient record and is not appropriate. That's why nearly every CP says something to that effect, keep it professional. So, the dictator said that, and it wasn't funny or incorrect. Just a statement. But your QA note was what the QA person was answering. The feedback via QASAR is not viewed by the client, so the QA person was probably responding more to your humorous tone than the issue at hand. He/she was saying, well, that's what they said, so just type it... Dictators and clients don't get it when they view personalized QA notes. The written word is hard to interpret, and something might have come across to you as nasty, but might not have been meant that way. I don't know in this specific case. At first I agreed that it was nasty, but then when you went further into the type of QA note and comment you left, I saw it from another perspective.
What ever happened to sending it... [2008-07-03]
to the client for verification? I never see that any more, either. There are mistakes on both ends. I think they are trying to fix this. ASR, it seems, has been destroyed to newbie MTs putting in red-s markers instead of skip markers, and perhaps there are newbie QAS people who are making mistakes, too. We all have to learn together, it seems. Keep bringing to the attention of your QKL and protect yourself. That's all that matters, though it is very time-consuming.
About that email--whatever happened to [2008-07-01]
the policy about them having to pay us an hourly rate if their was no work? Why should I have to take my PTO that I already have planned to take in August? So, what, I'm going to have to nix my vacation plans just so I can get paid for these *slow times*?????
wasn't the email interesting [2008-07-01]
What Medquist is doing is covering their butt. Since they know that work on holidays is slow, they are doing away with the pay for downtime on a holiday. Our options are usually 4: make up time, take pto, get paid downtime (only 4 hours at a time) or time off w/o pay. They are always gonna find a way to screw the MT--like the 4 hours ----they are only going to pay for 4 hours downtime on any given day no matter the length of your shift. Then they will turn around and ask for extra work--sure, absolutely, my all for MedQuist.
I thought it was interesting.... [2008-07-01]
that this time, the emailseemed to refer more to our own BOB and regular accounts instead of the national workpool. It seemed to me to focus more on having even more of us on our own accounts and then off on PTO or with no pay instead of even having the cesspool to work on.Did you notice that, or was I reading it incorrectly?
Wasn't the email interesting... [2008-06-30]
a fair warning already about planning your PTO and time with no pay after asking us to put in all of this OT. I hope all the offshore employees are enjoying of their extra pay and OT instead of us....
I wonder what happened?...... [2008-06-26]
Don't sweat it.......call your QKL and let him/her know.....
This happened to me.sm [2008-06-23]
I just called MQ and got a ticket number and then called my PS who was VERY understanding and told me to be safe. I actually lost power for a very long time and when I had power back I emailed my PS. Is part-time flex also. I made up the hours just now and indicated that all in schedule source with a quick f/u email to my supervisor. No problems at all.
Same thing happened to me. They took an extra $250 out of mine (sm) [2008-06-10]
I emailed MT questions about it, because my supervisor is on vacation. I was told the value of the prize was added to your gross amount, taxed, adn then took it out of your net, so that you are receiving the net amount in pay but you received it in prizes. No idea what they mean and they said to contact 1-800-dictate. I already left a messsage with the payroll person who hopefully will call me back tomorrow. I believe that when they added the value of the prize to the gross amount, they were only to deduct the tax for the prize, not the whole dang prize amount. The way did it was having us pay for our own prize. Husband said we'd sue if they don't change the amount that I'm short on the pay. We'll see how they answer our questions.
Same here! I happened to be in the report of [2008-06-09]
a particular dictator when I went in and checked a QASAR report that he had also dictated. The sound was like night and day!! When I listened to the 3 blanks I had left I heard what he said loud and clear. I went back and forth between the QASAR recording and the report I was in.....WHAT A BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!! Ridiculous is what it is!!!
this happened before too .... [2008-06-08]
never heard an explanation but it is definitely not you ...
Interesting to me on reading here today how the [2008-06-06]
focus of the board has overnight gone from the real issues, like CBay and all of our futures, to QA bashing again. I was pondering this, and realized its because of QASAR being dumped on us overnight, and thinking, what bad timing on MQ's part. But then I realized, actually, what great timing on MQ's part. They never do anything by accident, even the stuff that seems like a train wreck. So, how clever they were to drop the CBay bomb, and then when we were all getting together and making progress on some plans, they dropped the QASAR bomb to distract everyone, along with the screwed up DQS upgrade out of nowhere at the same time. I now see it as another clever management move, and I also personally believe they are the ones who start the inflammatory threads that get us fighting with each other, MT versus QA. Quickest way to distract us is to get us fighting. It works every time, and still is. Let's not fall for it.
Interesting - I'm still doing QA and I'm not Indian! [2008-06-02]

quality audits [2008-09-05]
i've seen posts below from QAs who said taht they don't do quailty audits on MTs, well then - who does? Do we still get them? I used to have them sent to me but that hasn't happened in a long, long, long time. I noticed that in QASAR some of the reports do have a score with them, but they are all 100%, which even though my quality in the past had always in the acceptable range, it had never before been so perfect. Are the reports in QASAR with the scores the ones that were audited? What's the deal with the audits?
My experience in the old days was the same. [2008-09-05]
Unfortunately AAMT was and has been busy trying to make the organization look big and important to others rather than focusing on and working for what the membership really needed - fair pay for good work and allowing us the time to do the job right rather than let the profession sink to quantity. I used to enjoy my job because the work was interesting and I was paid a decent wage. I have always taken pride in my important role in quality patient care and, in the end, the patients will always be my primary focus. Unfortunately, I find myself focusing more and more on finding a new profession because I am not being paid a decent wage anymore and just scraping along even though.
I was a member for 13 years. During that entire time, the AAMT was busy trying to impress doctors with what our profession does for them, but too many doctors still don't get it and the bottom cash line rules their choices. The AAMT was busy designing and touting education requirements with dreams of needing a 2-year degree to be qualified to be hired. That never happened either.
I remember when AAMT was pushing that transciptionists needed liability insurance. Since that time, the profession has pretty much gone to nearly absolute verbatim which drives me crazy at times. I took pride in assisting some doctors with making their reports readable and they appreciated that There were even some doctors who actually requested me and I felt proud about the quality of my work rather than just being a production number like I am now.
The last straw for me regarding the AAMT was when work began going off shore and they have never appeared to have found for our jobs. Various off shore MTSO companies may claim they are HIPPA compliant, but, truth be told, HIPPA cannot be enforced beyond our shores. Remember the off shore Transcriptionist who held medical documents hostage with threats to publish them on the internet? US laws are difficult to enforce when the infraction has been committed in another company. The US can punish off shore companies who produce tainted products that do not meet safety requirements by denying entrance into the company, but the same is not true with patient medical documents.
Anyone good at math problems??? [2008-09-03]
I happened to get a 520-second ASR report followed by a 520-second regular straight transcription report. Both dictators were clear, so didn't have to slow down for either one and didn't have to stopto look anything up for either one. I decided to time myself to see exactly how much ASR increased my production.I see it did; however, the % is what I'm interested in.BTW, this was a way better than average ASR job, whichis a rarity really. Here are the specs:
ASR report took 9 minutes
Regular report took12 minutes
What PERCENTAGE increase in productiondid the ASR report allow? There will be extra credit for this one!!!
Confused [2008-09-03]
I'm a bit confused. I've read a lot of posts about the BIG pay decreases that have happened and how horrible it is to work for MQ. I've been here about a year now and make more moneyin my40hour work week than I did working similar hours at my previous medical office job. So, I quit it and nowonly do MT work. Could someone explain where these big decreases came from and how much the actual $ loss has been. I just haven't seen itin my situation and am very curious. I know theypay lessthanICs can get as12 cplis my current IC MT rate, but this is also after 11 years of service and with my own paper and gas being used without reimbursement. I stay with them because they were my first account and are great people. I also have not been able to find any otherICaccounts willing to pay more than 8 cpl, which is why I came to MQ in the firstplace, after months and months of footwork. At least with MQ I get401K, PTO, etc., and no gas expense to boot. I'm also able to get time off and adjust my shift when necessary, which as an IC can be very hard to do at times.
Thanks everyone. While there appears to [2008-09-03]
be about a 33% increase, like the poster said below, it's still a 7% decrease in pay. So, it's probably even more of a decrease since this ASR happened to be abnormally great.
They are going to be in for another mass exodus if they try to lower the ASR pay even by one more hundredth of a cent.
I can deal with 70% (barely) because ASR does increase the actual line rate (for me anyway). Although it does decrease the line RATE a bit, I think the small extra amount I get for the extra bonus lines on the monthly bonus might barely make up for that.
Still stinks though because why couldn't they have done the DECENT thing....and maybe only lowered the ASR pay by 15% so both the MTs and MQ could benefit? No, they had to take it ALL.
And I will NEVER believe that they lowered what they charge the client. They can say that till they are blue in the face. If they charged the client 12 cents per line before...you can bet they are STILL charging 12 cents a line, be it ASR or regular transcription.
You are one of the lucky ones....sm [2008-09-03]
I am happy for you, really I am, so please don't be upset with me when I say that I can't understand how you can't understand the negative posts.
You make a great line rate here with 10 cents, but as you can see from some of these other posters, many MTs are making 7 cents for doing tier 3 work. You may also have some of the good ASR accounts where your production is increased enough to make as much as, or more, with ASR than with straight transcription. But please understand that your situation with MQ is not the norm, but rather the exception. You are also very lucky to have a flexible schedule that you chose... I don't know how you managed to get that luxury as most of us had to set a schedule and stick to it no matter what, but I'm happy for you that you can have the flexiblity.
I would probably stand right beside you in not understanding the negative posts if those who were posting them were making 10 cpl and had great ASR dictators and were still complaining that they wanted more, more, more or weren't getting all they wanted, then I wouldn't understand their negative posts and would wonder what they had to complain about.
But if some day your 10 cpl is dropped down to 8.5 because that is now the highest MQ will pay, your primary account doesn't renew its contract, and you are thrown into the worst of the worst dictators that you've ever heard in the cesspool, so now you can't make decent line counts which diminishes your bi-monthly paycheck and virtually destroys your chance of getting enough extra lines to earn a bonus -- if and when that day comes, I'm sure you'll then understand what the negative posts are all about.
Like I said, I'm not coming down on you, I'm really happy that you are doing well, just don't belittle these posters who have lost a lot over the years with MQ. It's not their imagination, it's what happened and it's real, it just hasn't happened to you yet.
How do I know? I'm one who used to do very well with MQ. I worked for over 13 years here, made just over 9 cpl, was pulling down 15,000-20,000 lines a pay period without breaking a sweat. My primary account got flooded with MTs who had lost their primary and were placed on it, and there wasn't enough work to go around, so began the spiral down with my paycheck. Sure, I was still making a good line rate, but with the cesspool, the ASR, and tons of unfamiliar work, I went from doing over 300-400 lph to barely making minimum 150 lph and possibly losing my benefits. I had to move on. It took several months, but I finally found a better job.
I totally understand their negative posts. What I don't understand is how people can't find the compassion to lend an ear or offer a kind word to those who are not as fortunate as them. JMHO.
ShortCut [2008-09-03]
ShortCut sounds interesting. In trying to find it,I found ShortCut throughHealthcare Technologies, Inc. (HTI)? Is this correct? Thanks.
Tired [2008-08-29]
I have never been one to make waves. I used to just get in in the morning, do my transcription, then get off in the afternoon, not worrying about anything. Man how that has changed. It is not that I do not like my accounts, when I get them, which is seldom. Glad to have work I would be asked by the sup? Sure, but not when it is the cesspool and there really isn't any way to make any decent time or money. For you older folks, do you remember summers ending last year? We would be so busy with our own accounts that we had to work OT and for bonuses to fill in for people who were on vacation. What happened to that? There were so many times when we were 2 or 3 days behind. Can't imagine all of that just walking away. But of course, we are dumb, we believe anything they tell us such that there are too many MTs on certain accounts, etc.
something similar [2008-08-27]
I have not worked for a couple of weeks now, but I was noticing very frequently that I would get emails about my primary account being backed up, yet I kept getting jobs from other accounts that were pretty crappy. I emailed my supervisor many times about this. Sometimes it would get fixed before my shift ended and sometimes not. It might be a conspiracy. I think a lot of it has to do with technical malfunctions. I know the couple of times my supervisor actually replied to me it quickly it was fixed.
Like I said, I no longer work for MQ, but while I did there were times that I emailed my supervisor URGENT, left messages for her through her MQ voicemail, and left messages for her on her cell and still didn't get a response sometimes for days. She was really nice and I liked her a lot.. I think some of the supervisors are overloaded though. That was the feeling I got from her anyway.
Sorry to get off track there for a sec. Next time this happens to you I would recommend emailing your supervisor, MQ voicemail, cell, and contacting the technical department. I would also copy the email to myself so that you have proof you tried to contact your supervisor. One of the reasons I quit though was because I kept getting really crappy accounts other than my primary and was not able to make my line rate when this happened. Not only do you have to read a new client profile every time, but then you usually also get crappy dictators.
My own conspiracy theory [2008-08-26]
Okay, so call me paranoid, but this has got to be more than coincidence. I have been noticing for some time that I might be having a pretty good week production wise, and than BAM, suspiciously when I get closer to the end of my work week, I am no longer getting any of my kickbutt primary, but instead start getting the absolute worst dictators on the planet. Of course, this blows my kickbutt production all to Hades!! For example, my primary was backlogged out the wazoo this afternoon, they ask for extra time to help to clean it up, and me being the eager little helper that I am, volunteer to do some extra time. After all, I had nothing but my primary account on my morning shift and made very, very decent production. So I am thinking, yeah, let me do some extra time in my primary that is so backed up and I can have very, very decent production on my evening shift. Lo and behold, not one lousy report from my primary all evening . . . . nothing but garbage dictators (especially the one I despise the most with nothing but ESL!!). How does that happen?? Can anyone explain to me how this can be? When I am on my primary, I have virtually zero jobs going to QA and my production is gangbusters!! Does it make sense to sabotage someone's ability to make sort of decent money, at the same time not having your people on their best accounts being more productive?? This has happened to me time and time again, so don't tell me this is not deliberate! I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else, or is it me against the world? Why would I want to put in extra time anymore if this is the way things are manipulated??
Congratulations to you!! Yes, it can be done! [2008-08-22]
You're so right that MQ is just not the best game in town anymore, nor are they the only game in town. The timing of your post was perfect for me, as I was coming back to see if anything positive was up with the Q! LOL! What a joke! I should have known. I left just about 90 days ago, only know as I am just about thru my 90 day probationary period. I love my new company. I am just a little worried, as my line counts are still a bit lower than I'm used to, about 1200 a day, when I am actually used to 2000. I was one of the lucky ones with my primary. Bottom line, I'm making about $150 a week less, but I am still new so I am reminding myself of that and not going to give in and go back to MQ. I know my old job is still there, which makes it hard for me sometimes to struggle with a new job. But I have great coworkers, MTs actually talk to each other, and a great supervisor, so I just have to struggle a bit with the money part. Its very hard right now, with the economy and all. Seems like it all hit at once. But that was the chain keeping me to MQ. I had been with them a long time and did make great $, but when the news of CBay broke, I knew that could be over in an instant. So am with a small company and happy, or make more $ temporarily with all the stress of the Q? My benefits are starting now, so maybe I will feel better about that as well. I mean, its only money, right? I wish you tons of happiness at your new gig. And, no, MQ will probably not notice you until you are long gone. That's what happened to me. My resignation was put at the bottom of the pile of emails my supervisor had to respond to. But that just made it easier to leave in the end. They truly are hurting now for MTs, and they have earned every hurt they are experiencing and then a million more. No company has worked harder to destroy its workforce and lifeblood than MQ and its incompetent managers. Without us, they are nothing, and that is happening most definitely every day.
I know how you feel about losing your [2008-08-22]
I routinely produced 1800 to 2000 lines a day..now I struggle to make 1200. I have tried and tried to figure it out..what happened?? I do think it is harder to make a line..but that is maybe 100-150 lines less a day...It is not my account..I am so lucky..I love my primary and I am in it all day...It is the corporate nature of MedQ, the extremely low pay, the micromanagement of my time, the too many chiefs corporate mentality. If they paid me a fair rate..at least 9/cpl, took away e-time and not dock me 30% for ASR (which is robbery pure and simple..I would agree to 10%), and let me do what I do best..my production would increase exponentially. Never gonna happen.
lost my motivation [2008-08-22]
Yeah, the docs get bad habits and keep them. I am now doing a new resident (not ESL) and she mumbles so bad, there is no excuse for it. Of course, after working all day I probable could get what she is saying and maybe not, but when QA gets it they have a fresh pair of ears and probably can figure it out. When I used to work in a medical center we were allowed to make suggestions to residents regarding problems and they would usually say I am sorry, I will try to dictate better, unless they were ugly about it, which once in while happened. These docs may never know they have bad habits and will continue to dictate that way forever.
What I was referring to [2008-08-21]
In my list of where the pay cuts have come from, I was speaking more in general about what has happened to me over the years. I'll have to take a look at the payroll count listed for a report - that will give the definitive answer as to whether or not MQ is giving me credit for a header/footer.

Hey, I'm new to QA and I just want you guys to know that sometimes when your fingers get going stuff pops up and you don't know it happened. I think that happened to me last night, I just got put in qasar and it's horrible! All these different screens come up. Please know, we make mistakes too!
To fix this situation with the MTs [2008-08-19]
would require that someone in management actually has a brain and understands the job that we actually do and have actually done it themselves, and we all know that ship has sailed a long, long time ago. If they had any brains at all in management this past year alone would never have happened......
Now that is ugly so don't bother to tell me how wrong I am for bad mouthing dear old MQ, but the truth is the truth and anyone who thinks that what the poster below said is ugly then they are surely someone from management telling us how wrong we are yet again, but who is now begging their own employees to come to work for them????? If they would have listened to us in the first place they wouldn't be where they are now with no one wanting to work for them...

I called SUPPORT 5 hours ago. They told me there was no problem with MQC email. So I've wasted time trying to figure out what else to do. Low and behold, as usual, I log on here and find out I'm not alone in the universe. Told by SUPPORT I would be contacted ASAP, but you all know that hasn't happened YET. Thanks for keeping the world informed. Some of us appreciate little blurbs.
Retrofit [2008-08-17]
Does anyone know what happened to the retrofit MQ was supposedly going to be doing? I know a few accounts are on it, but it's a long way from being utilized in a big way. I have been one of those peoplewho have stated that it's really not going to happen, but I actually almost got my hopes up when people told me I have a bad attitude. My viewpoint is that the client wishes come first, and there is no gosh darn way we can get all the clients to agree on one way of doing things. I understand that with the retrofit, there would be some exceptions, but MQ has too many clients to even think that a standard (with those exceptions) would even work. This client wants patient name in report, this one doesn't. This client wants referring physician in Optional ADT, this one doesn't. This client wants dates spelled out, this one doesn't (unless it's dictated spelled out, except for dictator so-and-so.) We all know the drill, MTs as well as QASs.
QUIT ALSO [2008-08-16]
My pay check kept going down and down, about $1000 a month. So I finally bit the bullet and gave notice the end of June and my last day was July 10, then I took myself out for a long weekend of day spa, shopping, and a 2-night stay in a hotel BY MYSELF. Then started a new job July 14. Good change. Actually got an account that I had previously worked on at MQ. Guess they are all seeing the light and moving to different services also. It just happened to be one of those in the cesspool for MQ though. But as of next week I am getting a new account, which will have the OP reports I have been waiting for.
Have to say though that the pay right now is not a whole lot better than my last months at MQ, but then I think that is the way it is going to be all over from now on.
So congratulations to all of you that have made the move, and good luck to those still left, and wishing they could make the move. It will all turn out for the best. If this company does not work out, and I should have a better idea in the next month or so, after I get more established in a new account, I will be leaving this profession after 35 years and going to an out of the home job working as a health aid in my mom's assisted living apartment. Ican make about the same wages I am getting now, busting my butt, and I will actually enjoy the job.
Still love to come into this forum and read all the chats and sit back and smile because I AM OUT OF HERE.

gonna be nice and say not very intelligent as they haven't seemed to take heed of what happened when other professions got outsourced (CSR type of positions with banks, etc. and IT personnel) solely because it was cheaper -- it ended up costing the companies more when they realized that it wasn't such a good idea, that is the quality wasn't there and people complained about not being able to understand the foreign personnel -- I talked to a local cardiologist who I asked how his transcription was done and he said that a local agency was doing it in another town where they have an office as well and he said that they once had some foreign MTs on the account and they were having such a problem with them not being able to recognize when a mistake was made with the terminology that they have specifically requested of that agency to have only American MTs and I told him good for you.
I hope you didn't take offense to my response to your [2008-08-14]
post below, as I didn't mean it that way.
It's just that not long ago kind of the same thing happened to me...for example, when I had an extremely difficult dictator (extra long report of course) and I'd get about 100 lines in the hour it would taken me to complete it. I thought, well, I'll just work an hour extra after I sign out to make up the difference so I wouldn't lose as much that day. I did this for a while, thinking nothing of it until I got a warning email.
I don't know why the other girl got fired when all I got was a warning, but I'd hate to see this happen to anyone else.
Ya know what irks me today? [2008-08-14]
This is the only place I can vent about this where someone will understand.
So this morning I get an email from PS saying it is mandatory everyone works their entire shift, as we are getting close to the weekend and the work is backed up. Please work extra if you can, also!
Then an hour later get another email stating -- The work load is low so some of you may get the no jobs available message (what happened to the cesspool-haha) so just be patient and another job will pop up soon. OR you can take an hour or two off and make it up this weekend or late evening ONLY.
WTH? First we are apparently so backed up she needs to remind everyone to work their entire schedules and offers OT....THEN only an hour later...whoops sorry it's all caught up....take some time off and make it up later? JEESH
Loss of primary [2008-08-12]
When it happened to me the contract was about to expire and they didn't renew. My PS put me with another PS but in the same BOB. I might say, however, that I am just as happy if not more with this new one than I had been,
