Well now my supe wants me to work my exact hours and amount and email her every day sm [2008-10-08]
with the fact that I have worked my exact scheduled hours. What is up? I really think she wants me to quit. She may get her wish. Just want to see what goes on next week with the new reorganization they are talking about.
I looked at the email again about the course, and-- [2008-10-07]
it said it is unpaid, but scheduled in the middle of the day so that MTs can take the class on their lunch break.
Honestly, I don't take an hour and a half lunch break...but I guess I they still want me to put in my allotted hours. I'll just make up the time.I hope to get some tricks out of the class to help my productivity, so I think it'll be worth it.

How often are we supposed to check the MQ email [2008-09-30]
because I work three day shifts (FRI/SAT/SUN) weekly and just was informed that I missed the opportunity to sign up for the MANDATORY ASR refresher course. My immediate supervisor has been gone for aboutthe past month(it seems) but someone else has filled in and sent me a ratherabrupt email that said I MUST CHECK MY email MORE FREQUENTLY.
Doesn't it seem a bit unfair to expect me to check it on days I'm not scheduled to work? She also didn't give me any idea as to when I can schedule the ASR course. What happens if you don't take it in a timely manner?
I don't think they like me.

The email I got had a copy of my lph payroll had sent to my supervisor. - I was 2-3 lines below the minimum. The coaching is in the same email. It appeared to be a generic email instructing you not to get distracted, work every minute of the hour, don't spend so much time trying not to leave blanks. A warning that, if you do not show an immediate large improvement, you will enter the next level which will involve a phone call from your supervisor. Thus far, I have been able to eek out the minimum by sending more reports to QA.

but it came from our QKL telling us not only to review the CP several times when changing accounts but also to correct errors in the spellcheck, the database and any ASR errors. Anything else? If I did all of this religiously, I would not earn enough to pay for Internet access each month.

Has anyone received an email yet stating their bonus payout? I received an email last month around this time stating what my bonus will be but so far nothing yet for this month. Just wondering if I can expect a bonus this month. TIA!

This does not meant that it does not matter when you work. - Where did I say that it shouldn't matter when we work? I didn't. I never said we should be able to work whenever and not stick to a schedule or not have a schedule.
I was just pointing out that you shouldn't have to clock out just to take a crap or read an email from the Q.
When I worked in-house, I didn't clock out to go to the bathroom or read company email, and I was paid by the hour there, so I was getting paid for going to the bathroom and reading company email, as are most people who have normal jobs. Do our supervisors get paid by the hour and get paid while reading their emails and going to the bathroom? (Reading emails is probably a big part of their job, so that's expected.)
Integrity: Obviously lacking by my employer, who someday soon, God willing, will be my former employer. You have no idea how I actually perform my job, whether it's with or without integrity.

First it was I was not doing my 2000 lines in a week. I have been ill which they did not care about in the first place and then getting back to work I got tired, am doing fine that way now but then it was not sending my emails in the correct format for e-time audits and not having my signature line on my email and now because I clocked in late due to a hang up with an appt with my mom with an eye appt and could not call her and not working the full 2 hours I was supposed to even though I will get the 2000 lines done this week. The list goes on and on. I think they want me to quit because even though I don't make a lot of money my cents per line is up there, although not enough, but still, they could replace me with a full-time person for less money. I just think they want me to quit--- or am I just notworking like I should for MQ?

AAAANNNNNDDDD, now they want us to check MQC, email, etc., after our shift...while not punched in to email. There must be a law somewhere that addresses this. Otherwise, looking for the gun. 'Way to go team' translates into way to go for the PS or QKL in this case, not the MT. They don't care about this end as long as their end (lol no pun intended) is covered.
A while back this exact mentality and same type of email (first time I received a 'way to go team' email while I was in the cesspool set off a sob fest) was one of many red flags, so I went FT elsewhere and switched flex PT with MQ.
I can ignore all that now.
The way I keep my sanity is [2008-10-05]
to not take corrections personally.
If there is a QA error that affects patient care, I do inform the QA supervisor about that document number.
If some terminology correction is wrong, I inform the QA supervisor with the reference to supporting documentation. Unfortunately, this takes time away from production to write the email with the document number and list error and supporting documentation which I am not willing to take, so I rarely bother.
One thing is we are all in this together, and any one person does not know everything.

I told her the simpler the better. They spend all their time on making sure you email in the correct format and you have a signature line on your email just so and all these little petty things that make no difference. Money makes the difference but they do not seem to understand that, at least not for those of us who keep them in business. They used to treat us well with good bonuses and extra pay for more lines done to the tune of 2 cents extra a line for me for ALL lines done. Those days are over unless they decide they really need us. Then maybe we will get treated better but I am not holding my breath!!

SS still "trial" [2008-10-02]
As far as I know, SS is still in a trial phase. I had it, and when I switched supervisors, was back to eTime. With SS, it makes life much simpler to approve each time you log out, rather than waiting until the end of the pay period. When doing it all at once, I kept losing my place. I did like SS for requesting PTO, since you don't haveworry if your supe got your email request. You could see your request and see the approval.

It has been over an hour. I am calling again right now. Of course I am on hold forever. I am asking the question right now if we are going to have work later or is work being sent to India CBay because I did not receive an email about system maintenance repair being done tonight. System supposedly down for about 10 minutes, but that was 10 minutes ago.He put me on hold and then came on and said another 15 minutes. The company decided to work on system during the last day of pay period. We supposedly were notified by email about it.

assume that the time was approved if we did not get a fast reply. Believe me, I tried that. In August I ask off for 3 days and I ask off about 5 weeks before the days I needed and didn't get a response until I emailed her and told her that if I didn't hear from her I would assume it was okay. Heard back pretty fast on that email!!

I had one particular account and doc, who said the exact same thing on every report and ASR put the exact wrong thing every time. I finally sent in it to support via email and just got him again and its fixed. - HEY!!
It took about a week as far as I can tell as this is my secondary account and then there are sub-accounts within that account and I do not get this doc that often.
Not saying it works for all, but it worked for me, and it wouldnt hurt to try. Have a good day my fellow MQ'ers.

QA Team Lead - Used to be QKL or Quality Knowledge Leader position. Now it has changed to the QA Team Lead position. One works with each Supervisor.
Make sure you put a QAQC note if you have no dictation and state that.
If you feel the QATL is wrong or unprofessional, first try contacting the QATL and talk to her directly. They should have their toll-free number available to you. Respond to the emails sent to you and always be calm and professional.
If you're not happy with how that turns out, forward the email to your Supervisor and Manager. If you don't get a response or get it resolved in a couple of days, forward all of it to your Director. You can get that info (who your Manager and Director are) from mtquestions.
I would not discuss it with coworkers at all. Be professional and talk to your Supervisor and Manager about it.

Now because I did not do it in my allotted time of 11 hours, but inless time, I will probably be called on the carpet for that too. Also my supervisor told me she did not know how they would handl the down time pay when I asked her. So I went to the HR part of the web site and investigated for myself and found out you only have to submit an email to your supervisor and you will get paid. She really does not like me any more. I think she is getting yelled at because I am not a good employee even though I have been ill and could not work for a long time. That did not matter to her.!!! Sorry this was very long!
ASR refresher course..sm [2008-09-28]
We received an email about an ASR refresher course with the dates only. When I replied giving the dates that I would like I was told I needed to verify my mailing address and I still wasn't told if the dates were approved (one was for this week).This is the first refresher course I've had to take. Is this normal or am I being paranoid? Do they just send material?

If I remember you should receive another email confirming the date you chose and the number to call at the course time. I'd contact my PS about it.

All along I've heard all kinds of things from no window to 15 minutes to 30 minutes to an hour.
Contacted mtquestions and they said 30 minutes. Then my PS tried to write me up and I went back to mtquestions. Found out mtquestions was right. I forwarded the email from my PS to mtquestions and they took care of it I guess because my PS never tried to write me up on it again.
