figure mine for me please...haha [2008-12-02]
I get about 90+% ASR now, usually closer to 95% ASR, since this change in mid October, from 50/50..haha... sigh.

FUNNY ASR = Pulse: Juan 24 instead of 124...HaHa....nm [2008-11-28]

thought I could learn that AlphaGrip fast I be leaning that way. But I can't afford to have my production suffer at all. I think I'll go over to the local Office Depot and try a touch pad. I'm kinda skeptical, too, but if it sucks I can just return it. Thanks again!

haha if you do 200 lines over your minimum you get 6 bucks! WOW nm [2008-10-24]

laughing out loud is good for you too!! haha thats funny [2008-10-22]
Thanks for the laugh! Its a funny joke posting something like that to adults that already know that! Lets all go on vacation to lala land!!

Makes sense. Hopefully, it smooths out soon...haha not holding my breath! [2008-10-16]

mine picking up extra keys also, haha NM [2008-10-16]

Bonus? Haha! All this bonus means is that [2008-09-19]
everyone (at least the ones who don't realize how lame it is yet) will be working extra, which means everyone will end up in the cesspool. In the cesspool, most will not be able to get up over that minimum number of lines you have to do before you even BEGIN to qualify for that extra 3 cents. If in the time frame where they came up with your average lines you were doing your best already, it's going to be very difficult to get up over that. I wish they'd quit with these so-called bonuses.

Haha... [2008-09-19]
They must have cried parting with that big bonus!!

HAHA yea right [2008-08-21]

yea, it must be our regular paycheck. i do appreciate getting paid, haha. i got the incentive bonus last payday, but i did not receive any little 5 buck bonus check.

HaHA [2008-05-06]
...and some people post on here using multiple different names cheerleading for MQ!

haha (sm) [2008-05-06]
yea, i noticed that, but i knew what you meant. : ) to the person who says that basically happiness is a psychological thing, well, you are basically right. BUT (and yes, my BUTT is BIG), as much as i try, its REALLY hard to be happy when your income has gone from occasionally, maybe, hitting $1500.00 per month to now if i'm luck just slightly over $1200.00 per month. my bills (not including groceries) are $1300 or $1400 per month. you do the math. i'm seriously suffering here and i'm looking and looking, applied to 5 or 6 jobs last week, some part-time, some full-time. nothing so far. i even posted on craigs list to do odd jobs for people. i'm getting desperate. i understand why people become criminals. its not because they are insidiously bad people. they are just at the end of their rope. we are going to see a lot more of this if our economy continues this way, which i think it will. but i digress. the other companies may indeed be as bad as MQ. but that doesn't make MQ not bad. they are part of the problem, not part of the solution. we need more Jerry Maguires out there, CEOs who actually CARE (gasp!) about the people who work for them, and pay them a liveable wage. its down right shameful how much money these people make at our expense. we should rise up and do something. unfortunately, they've got us right where they want us....too poor and tired to do anything but barely survive. hang onto your spouses, those of you who have a 2 person income. you would not be able to make it alone at MedQuist.

haha.. [2008-04-24]
I typed avait cuz I am listening to a doc with that accent. Too funny. Oh and I am newbie not the doc (I am sure you have guess that).

Haha, glad to help. :) [2008-04-17]

actually, its not that its less than 2 weeks that was the issue, but I've always worded any notices Please consider this is my 2 weeks notice... haha, so having it be less than 2 weeks wasn't sure how to word it. I know, I'm a dork, but I still want to try to show I have professional ethics even if they dont.

figure mine for me please...haha [2008-12-02]

Tofu I can handle drowned in soy sauce... [2008-11-25]
but I'm half japanese and I can't fathom tofurkey... I'm not oblivious to how turkeys end up in the grocery store. I also figure, hey, I know what's in hot dogs and I still eat those.... haha

overtime approved? [2008-11-25]
You are kidding me? Been in cesspool all morning. Wow, what BS. I doubt there should be work Thanksgiving afternoon, I would not think, if we are cleaning, but that sucks that we do not know until we can punch in and check, just to ruin the whole day. I hate having to work holidays, family all leaves me, then no work Check out the BOS (book of S*#@+) haha in a.m. and get an idea.

i know they won't change their mind... [2008-11-25]
just commenting on the way they word their email, they take away from us, then put out e-mails like the last 2 they sent about improving production and mentioning tough economic times and trying to make us feel inferior, its just all so condescending that I had to comment, haha.

Seriously, anyone know what it takes?... [2008-11-21]
I've thought about starting a company for quite a while, but always figured it would take too much $$ I don't have and too many legal hoops to jump thru. Guess I need to talk to someone who's done it and see how they got started. If it takes money and guts, I've got half of it - and it ain't the money! haha! By the way, whoever had the comment about starting a company and MQ suing and if we all ended up in prison... That was HILARIOUS! I even called my mom and read that one to her and she had a good laugh, too! Thanks! I needed that!

If I put the speed on full blast, I could probably get 450. [2008-11-21]
Of course, there would be a lot of grammatical errors and little words wrong and words left out and bad punctuation, but I could do it. But over 600, I don't know. I might be able to do that if I just downloaded the job and then uploaded it right away and never listened to it, haha. Does anyone think it is possible to edit over 600 lines an hour? I'm up for a challenge on the full-blast thing. It's the first tip on the corporate email, right?

No Way! [2008-11-21]
Now that would be a prime example of a report you should blow through and upload as is. You could tell them you took their advice and went on full speed! haha

mq central [2008-11-19]
if you aren't a Medquist employee you can't get onto mqcentral. but then, count your blessings that you aren't an MQ employee. if you are a medquist employee, you should have an mqcentral account and an e-mail set up, and if you don't you should contact your supervisor (haha).

Too cold here [2008-11-19]
Live in Iowa, although hubby did see someone yesterday with top on, doors off and shorts on, 35 degrees. He was going very fast, and south. haha Just bought my first one 2 years ago, Liberty 2006 and now daughter has a 2007, we go each for 13000 with 20,000 miles on. Used to be Enterprise rent a cars in Calif. Love them to death, fun in snow, so much fun. Do not four wheel, not on purpose anyway. Almost, almost got stuck in a wet corn field that had just had corn picked, never again, very, very steep hill. Looked like we went 4 wheeling. Well have fun, we do. Nice chatting.

perhaps that's true too... [2008-11-19]
I personally have not been able to buy a house yet. I raise my son alone with no child support, and I've always been proud of the fact that I've never had to live on the system, but the rate things are going, I might have to apply for food stamps to feed my child. I don't have a new car, I have a 1995 geo metro, haha, my first bought car that at the time I bought it I was starting transcription, lol. Its ugly and old, but people made fun of my old little beat-up car, but damn it rocked the gas prices when they were crazy high, ha. Sure, I am appreciative that I've had this job in the sense that I've not had to pay daycare and could be an at-home mom for my son, but it came with a lot of sacrifices in no social life, not enough money to buy a home or a new car, the down times being tied to the computer for hours and hours, I haven't been able to afford health care since MQ took over my smaller company because the rates were more than my rent at that time for my son and I. I know others also make a lot of sacrifices, and I do think in a way you're right, just when you think Hey, I can finally afford to buy... something happens and your struggling to fix the difference....but I also do admit, when I see adds for this position for classes and schools, they make it sound like everywhere you go you can make 40,000 a year or more.

ohhhhh..hahaha [2008-11-19]
I didnt look at the user name, thought you might've been one of the new transcriptionists as similar questions were asked by new ones here before, haha...let me remove the L from my forehead, hehe.

I hope you.... [2008-11-17]
get hold of your CCM or they at least reply! I hope the same for me, haha, I have 56 hrs of PTO to use before end of the year or I lose mine as well. I had some pre-approved from my old SUP before the changes, but still needed to schedule another 40 hrs of that 56, and the ones that my old SUP approved are in my time card already, so I emailed my CCM to ask if I can still take them or if I have to work because of new CCM situation, and he never replied, and I took them, but the new ones I need to schedule are also not getting responses....sigh... I hope you get your replies soon!

well, i do... [2008-11-15]
...don't know about you! haha....any time i've e-mailed in that i'm sick, my sup has just gone ahead and put 8 hours PTO in my time, no questions asked.

Upon further review [2008-11-15]
The English language can be tricky, can't it? In this case, I think QA was correct after doing a little research (see link). I'm not sure if it warranted being changed, but at least I learned something ;-) LOL. I still believe, as in my posts below, that anything (or should that be any thing? haha) that has been researched thoroughly and found to be incorrect should be brought to the attention to QA and/or supe.

:) [2008-11-02]
lol...probably, I do that myself, haha.

I don't think the first post was political [2008-10-28]
My friends are shocked to learn how we are treated in this company. My husband said I should ask for downtime when my foot pedal broke and had to wait to work until I got a new one (haha). And having to work five months for full-time benefits to kick in is ridiculous. Yes, it's true, not for new hires, but for those transitioning from another status to full-time. Ridiculous.

I am in your boat, same situation [2008-10-16]
Although I did not enjoy primary for 59 minutes. Hubby says go, but not till I find another job. haha He learned that just a couple of months ago and it drove him nuts. I see things getting worse. Miss my TC, she was like a mommy kissing an owie, wound fix things!!!!

sm [2008-10-16]
puts it in transcriptionists' *ss. haha.

I do not get policy either, anyone up on that? [2008-10-13]
Some get pay 4 hours of their state's minimum wage, some get their average earnings they get for PTO for 4 hours, unless we choose to not work, but then when do we get paid. No PTO, as Bunion just got back from VACATION FOR 8 DAYS. I have no time to make this crap up, not fair, they run a bonus that I believe is still in force. Crazy, screw us again. I do not understand they talk out of both sides of their mouth like the politicians. haha

I work evenings and nights - sm [2008-09-26]
We have the same base rate at 8.5, but I make 6.45 for evenings and 6.95 for late nights. I have no life, but I make a bit more than if I worked days. I'm waiting for the shift differential to be taken away next. ASR could be a good thing if each doctor spent about 40 hours personally programming it and if they learned not to say things like number next which turns into # next, delete, put in the number...haha, like that's gonna happen...if I had a dollar for every time I'vecorrected that one particular thingin the last year I could retire. Decent docs, horrible ASR....horrible docs, straight typing. Lose lose situation isn't it?

tks, sweetie! glad I made someone laugh [2008-09-25]
actually, i'm having 2 periods this month, 51.5 yrs, perimenopausal, son in CG NJ boot camp, miss him insanely, only child, husband no paycheck since 7/07 work comp injury, now we might lose our jobs, i think i'd better switch coffee..pretty sure that is a lot of it...i am so glad i made you laugh, almost did stand up on Melrose Ave in LA at the Improv Club in 82 but lost my nerve. hahaha but did nearly make HBHS class clown by 5 points. girl who got it was on voting committee - we irish are soooooooo unlucky... haha

hah! [2008-09-19]
i was just going to say you must have been so excited about that bonus! haha. wowee, i can afford a half gallon of gas or half of a starbucks frapp! this company must be run by fools, or think their employees are. maybe both is true.

and all of that above... [2008-09-19]
...i know is part of the job and iwould never complain about if i were getting paid by the hour, like those good old days we speak of. i always rose to the occasions, accepted the challenges, but when your livelihood depends on just being able to be a machine and crank out the lines, its like, argh!!! yea, i didn't have a cell phone until 2 years ago...i was the last person i knew not addicted to their cells. i hate telephones and rarely use it, but its an evil necessity. i'm pretty low tech, still use my VCR!! i guess others would just call us OLD. haha! i do love my computer and e-mail though, but even that is starting to get old. too much information is making us all a bit insane i think.

actually... i complained about them BEFORE i got a job with them! [2008-09-16]
and after a week of training i was like... sorry no WAY. :) I was hoping things had gotten better, I'm serious in that it was about 5 years ago my company was taken over, and i absolutely LOVED the docs I transcribed for and then it was all screwed by MQ! Some people say I have too much pride but I said i would NEVER work for them... (hope I can still stand proud haha)
