I attended one tonight. Same info in voice form. [2008-12-02]
It appeared most of the attendees were new/er MTs, and the people leading the call were supporting them in their new efforts at ASR. I would love to have heard from someone that's being doing ASR a long time as I'm sure they'd have a whole different perspective. I might attend the next one too, well see. I don't think the meeting tonight was too busy as there weren't a lot of questions, so I'm not not sure how many attended.

That's the same info. my CCM sent out 11/26 n an email regarding the holiday. [2008-11-28]

TY for the info. nm [2008-11-26]
xx

I often wonder if it is legal too as my [2008-11-26]
supe pulls the same crap. Days like this instead of getting off at 5 PM I work until about 7 PM. There were a few times I called to get a ticket # and they would not give me one saying work would be coming in soon. I am going to check this out with the Labor Board as it is not our fault they run out of work and we should not have them demand that we make up the time or even take PTO for that matter. We should get paid downtime and that's that.

thanks for the info! [2008-11-23]
I probably won't go FT, but it was just a thought as far as the benefits go. That does sound like a lot of hassle that you have went through. Sorry you've had all that trouble! We have been paying out the wazoo for insurance and they have not covered one single thing yet, so that has been very frustrating. We're just trying to figure all that out, but I'm pretty sure I won't be going FT any time soon. Thanks for the info, and I will make sure to check it out thoroughly before making any decisions! I know that once you change, you have to wait a year before changing your mind again, and I'm PT flex, so I'm afraid that if I gave that up I couldn't go back to it now that they have phased that out!

Someone should send the pay cut info to the judge - nm [2008-11-19]

I don't have access to that info [2008-11-19]
I no longer work for MQ. I quit last April just before we found out they were selling. I worked for MQ from 1998 through 2008, so I'm pretty sure I'm included in this lawsuit.

that's the info like... [2008-11-19]
formatting and such that the client wants you to know, whether or not to capitalize ALLERGIES or whether or not to do the PE in paragraph or stacked, etc... If you're in a report and hit F5 that's the client profile that comes up.

Legal Notice [2008-11-18]
I just read the attachment and from what I can gather it sounds to me that if you worked anytime during the period mentioned that you are included in the lawsuit unless you contact Medquist through the information provided to take yourself off the lawsuit. Is this their way of saying if you don't take yourself off you'll be fired after the settlement?

pto info [2008-11-17]
Thank you so much for the information. I dont accrue much just being part time, but still.. hate to lose any.

No info on backlogs [2008-11-15]
I heard on here that someone said we were supposed to get the ability to do that, but I haven't heard anything on it. Do you have any info on it? When I get a hold of this CCM I would like to know if it has a name or not so I can ask specifically.

Care to pass along that info? [2008-11-14]
Jumping into the unknown sounds pretty good, but I keep seeing the same crap, just different companies.

Thanks for the info [2008-11-05]
Today, I spoke with someone about my supervisor and let her know of the abuse I have been getting from her. She told me that there have been others that complained about her too. Apparently, my new supervisor has had NO experience as a supervisor, and was just a client care manager. She is definitely in water over her head, but I told the person I was speaking to that she needed to instruct this new sup on how to treat people. She said I should document everything in an e-mail and send it on up the chain of command, which I intend to do. I also said I might not be able to work with this person, and she completely understood. I told her that I would hang in there for awhile longer and see what happens.

I've never been told to keep CP info in a folder. [2008-10-24]
Was told to check the CP at the beginning of a shift everytime for any changes. Printing and storing CPs is not required by the Q.

thanks for the warning! and the info but most of us already know that thanks again! nm [2008-10-23]

maybe you're using the wrong info...sm [2008-10-22]
My log in ID is first letter of my first name, capped, then my last name with the first letter capped @ medquist. So it would look like this ABcdefg@medquist And don't forget your password is alpha AND numeric. Have you tried the forgot my password option? Hope this helps. Good luck to ya.

Thanks for info, best of luck, is he gone? NM [2008-10-16]

Thanks for the info. Good luck to you and thanks for the support. [2008-10-16]

just read another interesting piece of info [2008-10-14]
on the other board -- someone on there, must be QA, said they were told in an email by MQ that they wanted to get the ILPs off 100% QA last week and now this week the work is so slow. Could be that they did get released and are now eating up all of the work. Thanks CBay.

Thanks for clarifying...good info to know. nm. [2008-10-06]

How can I find info on the monthly incentive (sm) [2008-10-05]
program. I have been all over mqcentral and can't seem to find it. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the quick info! [2008-10-03]
That answers my question. :)

Some info for you ... [2008-09-28]
QA Team Lead - Used to be QKL or Quality Knowledge Leader position. Now it has changed to the QA Team Lead position. One works with each Supervisor. Make sure you put a QAQC note if you have no dictation and state that. If you feel the QATL is wrong or unprofessional, first try contacting the QATL and talk to her directly. They should have their toll-free number available to you. Respond to the emails sent to you and always be calm and professional. If you're not happy with how that turns out, forward the email to your Supervisor and Manager. If you don't get a response or get it resolved in a couple of days, forward all of it to your Director. You can get that info (who your Manager and Director are) from mtquestions. I would not discuss it with coworkers at all. Be professional and talk to your Supervisor and Manager about it.

thank you for info! [2008-09-25]
thanks, dear!

Thanks for the info...nm [2008-09-25]

Google

I appreciate that [2008-12-03]
I've seen this editor's name quite a bit and have never had a problem (quite the opposite in my mind) until he/she wrote that snarky comment. It seems to me that MQ would be able to weed out those who don't bother to find the info and take appropriate action. On the last one I had, the doc was Indian but still not hard to understand for the most part. Let's face it: it's hard to determine the difference between many sound-alikes (B, V, D, etc.). And I try all those combinations as well! Thanks for the vent. It's been a bad dictation shift, speaking of big-time accents. I cringed at how many blanks I had to leave, but it still seems better than putting the wrong number, etc. I hate when that happens. Hopefully, QA knows that. I've noticed that they leave many of them blank, too. So it's not us, it's the docs!

I see your point, but. . . [2008-12-03]
I'll make a note to check whether or not the report is ASR--new one on me. However, my biggest gripe about the expansion is how long ittakes me to fix each and every one with QASAR. We can't go in and do a search and replace. Oh well. Call the wahmbulance! And thanks for the ASR info. Learn somthin' new every day.

sometimes not due to lack of trying [2008-12-03]
I have an account where if the patient is seen past a certain time of night and I type it before morning, the ADT info is not available yet. It depends on how some hospitals keep files I guess.

Instant Text Question [2008-12-03]
I might have asked this before...but has anyone that is using Instant Text had to switch their former platform to DocQScribe, and if so, was it an easy transition? I have been told that this platform might not be able to incorporate IT. I really don't want to use auto correct if I don't have to. My job is going to go live with this next week and I am a bit apprehensive. Thanks for any info.

Tired [2008-12-03]
I guess they think we can work miracles. Some of the audio is absolutely terrible, especially the ones who insist on dictating while driving with the traffic noise, cut outs, and obvious not speaking into the phone while looking up info. How in the world do they do that without running the car off the road?

600 lph [2008-12-03]
This is the myth that some in the MT field are passing around, including at my company. I pushed for more info on this alleged 600 lines per hour and found out that it is nothing but OP notes, ALL in template form lest the typical change of sex, name, dosing of meds, etc... and this is NOT every day... take heart...it's not an MT doing the work

jobs [2008-12-03]
would you send me info on how to become employed with this MQ please

Advanced Directives [2008-12-02]
The friend I talked to about this is in her 70s, and told her daughter no paddles, but the daughter says she'd do it, anyway. Her main point was that she wouldn't want extensive heroics at this stage in her life, and wouldn't be interested in chemo if she were diagnosed with cancer. Now would be a good time to ensure that info is in the wallet! Some families simply can't discuss death, which is unfortunate.

To QA [2008-12-02]
I got a couple stern words on my reports lately saying that the ADT was easily found, which really ticks me off. I spend more time than even should (in my opinion) trying to get the ADT to come up. I have no idea why it doesn't always show up when I type it as opposed to when QA gets it. Frankly, I can't imagine why the info isn't in the system when it's dictated, anyway, as the patient has already been seen. I now have the same thing for the report on my screen. While I appreciate all QA does, when I get remarks like this, I document the editor, etc. I also review what QA corrects and make appropriate changes, so this isn't a slam on QA. This is just an area that really gets me. Maybe someone wiser than me can shed some light on this. It sure frosts me when an Editor thinks I'm just faking it when I'm clearly not. Thanks.

nope [2008-12-01]
sent it anonymously from a different account. got a response quickly. here it is... oh...and i also got an e-mail from mtquestions asking for my name and ADP number. i think i gave them all the info that matters, don't you? : ) **** Please do not post internal email addresses, phone numbers or communications for any company.****

Really? Then why dig on poster below [2008-12-01]
for putting their name then dig on poster above for not putting their name? What is the purpose of that other than to simply put other posters down? Really, I'm very interested in the reasoning behind your posts. You are extremely happy with MQ and all of their changes, and are extremely irritated with everyone who isn't. How long have you been doing ASR? When did they change things around for you? Others have been fighting that battle for years, yet you simply send them the info and they fix it for you? That's great, as that's the way it should be. So here's another question...what about those they've ignored and done nothing for? Who are you to judge them for complaining about it?

QA submission rate sm [2008-11-30]
I just don't understand what the heck is going on anymore. I got the email about having slightly over 20% QA submission rate and that I should try harder. GIVE ME A BREAK! I am part-time (thank God) and send to QA an average of 1 to 2 reports per 20, usually with only 1 blank per report. Are they kidding me or what? I'm starting to feel that there is no use trying anymore. They say I should ask for help if I need any info. I'm not kidding here...most of theblanks QA couldn't get either. The other day, I got about 8 reports from my old primary and made about 45.00 for the hour....and not even 1 QA marker to boot. HELLO MQ!!!! THIS IS NOT WORKING.....WAKE UP!

ASR RATE [2008-11-30]
This pay cut starts on the 12/10 paycheck correct? Well I received $7.95 an hour for 30 some-odd hours on my last two paychecks. I did only do like 6,000 lines today in the payperiod, think they are having to pay the min wage to make it legal for those hours worked? I can't imagine what will happen when the new ASR rate kicks in. All they are doing is offering classes on how to get faster on ASR, I don't think they are taking into consideration our feelings and I highly doubt they will change their minds about the pay cut. I need to get a new job. Any ideas on companies to work at home from that provide computers that are hiring?

downtime pay comes into play when [2008-11-29]
you have a situation like it was last spring when the whole system crashed. There was work, but no one could do it because the system was down. Anyone remember that? They did pay people downtime pay at that point. You used to be able to get it also if you had an interruption like in your internet service or such. I don't think they actually let us do that anymore and the last time I had something like that was over 3 years ago. Anybody with an opinion or further info?

I had 16 new accounts yesterday and 11 today - [2008-11-28]
Today, one *CP* said to see the client profile for info. It was an op report. How idiotic!!

No work policy [2008-11-27]
You can call the 1 800 dictate number and they will open a ticket for you. They forward that info to the impact center who will look at your work pool and make sure that you are set up to get any transcription that you are able to do, even from different areas. If there is no work in any of those other areas, then they release you from your shift, but you have to have that ticket number to be able to do that. In MQ Central, if you go under departments/human resources/policies, there is a link for their no work policy. Hope this helps.

job pools [2008-11-27]
My sup told me in an e-mail that they were going to let us see ourselves how many jobs are in the pools in our region (not just our primary accounts). Has anyone been given this information? I guess I am just being nosy, but I would like to see that info.

The nerve! [2008-11-26]
First of all, your CCM CANNOT tell you that you HAVE to make up the work on Saturday....So much for following protocol! You report the no work situation and get a ticket number, then you have the choice of a) checking back to see if there is work or making up the time, b) taking PTO, or c)no pay. They CANNOT make you make up the time nor can they tell you when to do it!You ought to send her an email with the above info!! What a Turkey!!!! Enjoy your time off and don't give it another thought!

If they don't have work during your schedule, [2008-11-26]
I don't see HOW they can possibly demand you work on your days off. Is that even legal?

Yet another new email from Mr. 644 [2008-11-25]
Yeah, we all got it. I think they know we are unhappy. Is the information useful---NO! I have tried all the recent suggestions as of today's email. You can't get info from your QATL if they don't know what they are doing. They cannot answer questions and just give you some dumb excuse intended to look like an answer. Just a vent. Sorry.

You are not alone [2008-11-25]
There are many of us in the same boat and that is what keeps us hanging on, but even with that we have our breaking points. I am 1 year from retirement, but starting thinking that if I watch very closely with what little savings I have, I might be able to leave sooner. I can't and won't go through many more days of this ASR ESL BS and be expected to have a high line count. What in the world do they think we are? We are not computers, we are the folks who put the info into the computers. There is a difference.

Yep, agree with you 100% . I now know for myself [2008-11-25]
that 644 is not achievable, at least in the situation I've given to work. Full-speed ahead, can't go any faster. I agree, I think they used a false info in order to convince us we COULD earn more money (if we really wanted to). Somehow I think just WANTING to make more money isn't going to work.

had an MQ MT snub me on here when I got [2008-11-24]
going badly she's practically knocking down my door to get info on my company so she can switch over. what's funny is in her post she specifically said, I would NEVER associate with her again. I can't go into details but she knows who she is. Funny how things change, huh???

Let me add one more thing........ [2008-11-24]
In order to get the 510 I didn't ADD SKIP MARKERS! So kill me, I just didn't. I didn't have time. I just deleted text as it went. As I said in my original post, I'm sure my quality was less than stellar--though I didn't allow diagnoses or med amounts or other VERY important info to be ignored...I'm sure many the's, ands, etc were missed in order to keep the dictation flowing though. My point? 644 is a dream I would guess cannot be achieved. Today I go back to my 200+ lines an hour becuase I don't think I could live with myself otherwise. Try to have a good day, all.

I used dial-up when my high speed was down [2008-11-24]
maybe 2 or 3 times. It did work just fine. I know when DQS first started they told us we needed to have high speed, but was told this was just so the work would load/upload faster. I was told by tech when my high speed was down that dialup is usually perfectly acceptable, though once in a while you may have trouble getting the ADT info. I never had a single problem with it. Oh, remember when they actually used to reimburse us for the expense?
