Aw, my DH grew up with a great [2007-10-11]
Bassett hound.
My great niece is born! [2007-07-25]
Lauren Teresa was born yesterday. She is my hubby's sister's daughter's baby. We knew she had a problem with her urinary tract and only has 1 working kidney, but now they find she is not able to absorb milk, and they haven't diagnosed that problem yet.
The baby had no problem absorbing nutrition before birth, so even 2 weeks early she's already 8 lb, 3 ounces and 19 inches long. So we are thankful she has a little body fat.
Please pray that the doctors will quickly be able to diagnose and solve the problem for Lauren.
This is my niece's first girl. The other two are adorable little boys, so Lauren is the icing on her cake.
Prayer for election day [2008-11-02]
Pray for our country for the election day. Pray for the people to have wisdom and courage to fight against this mania that is overtaking common sense. Pray for people everywhere to vote for the future of this great country, to vote for our future, for the future of our children and our grandchildren. There can be only one choice, and that is the choice of one who has experienced so much in his life. God blesses his people. Not a man, not a group of people telling us what we should do.
We need to pray for our upcoming presidential election day. Pray for the people who will go and vote and make a decision that will affect the rest of our lives. John McCain and Sarah Palin.Take care everyone, and pray that we can overcome this mania that is going around to overthrow our country and its values.

I was called for an interview for this job, [2007-12-11]
and went today. It sounds exciting and different and I said I was interested and would talk to my hubby. The pay isn't bad, but isn't great, but it's hourly and the people who work there seem wonderful, I'd be up and moving around, doing inventory of a horticultural nature, and have great benefits. Two days off at Thanksgiving & Christmas, among others. Free plants that aren't good enough to ship, and that's my luxury expense currently, so that would be a biggie in itself. I think I want to take it. Please pray for guidance in this matter. I'm so burned out on working at home, isolated, that this sounds good to me.
Grandbaby [2007-12-06]
Please pray for my husband and me to see our grandson. At this time, our son and his wife are being very mean-spirited toward us and there is no good reason for it, just that they have strange ideas that we are trying to do something or that we do not respect them in some way, when reality is they do not respect us. There It is a long, long story and may sound trivial, but our hearts are heavy for not being able to visit their home and see them or our little Noah. We had to wait a whole year to see him after he was born and then we got to spend about 9 months with them and had great times together when suddenly my daughter-in-law got mad and shut the door once again and we cannot figure out why. We believe she may have emotional problems and our son is just caught in the middle; however, we are baffled that he cannot see what they are doing is hurting not only us, but little Noah as well. Please pray for total restoration, and this time, we want our relationship to be built on real love and real respect, otherwise, this could happen over and over again. We live3 hours from them and did not get to see them much as it was, but now, we have been cut off completely. Thank you all for your prayers.

Prayers for all of our military and their safty, but today prayers specifically for you and your husband and especially his safety and return to you. Often we pray for the men and women that have been deployed and forget about those of you left behind, so I say a special prayer for you and your family at this time to comfort you and shed peace on you at this time.

I did want to let you know though that it is perfectly fine to not do great at your new job. You can do okay. If you are like me, it may not be easy to let go a little but you will be happier in the end. You have lots to worry about without adding perfection to the pile.
