When they don When I read your post, I was hoping that maybe Sasha had an infected salivary gland. My bassett had a huge lump in her neck and turned out to be infected salivary gland. She is fine. I have another bassett that has lipomas all over, and has for a few years. My vet said that She said she So we have never had her lipomas taken off. She has a HUGE one on her rib cage area. She is 11 y/o. Anyway, I didn I hope your Sasha will still have more years to bring you happiness. Keep us posted.

Bad news ... again. [2007-10-09]
I have been noticing changes in Sasha. This is our healthy Sasha, the rescue we got when she was about 1 year old, who is just about 8 years old now. Other than her vaccinations, checkups and preventive meds and the ear that had to be stitched when she was bitten, she hasn't had any health problems. No UTIs, ear infections, eye trouble, nothing. DH mentioned she looked fat, especially around her neck. And I'd been noticing she wasn't eating well. I thought the new foster dog was making her nervous or something. He wanted to play too much, which was confusing because she always wanted to play before. Since he mentioned her neck, I just had to probe around in her thick fur, where I found 2 egg-sized lumps under her jaw. I think that was Friday, and I decided to take her and Cedric to Petsmart this evening. I noticed Banfield vet was open. They agreed to see Sasha (they sewed up her ear that one time). The Banfield vet was most unhappy to have to tell me Sasha has lymphoma. He did an aspiration and we will find out how bad. Can't I have any dogs for a full life span? Is it wrong to love dogs?

It might even be a brain tumor. Those things can happen with a brain tumor. You're doing the right thing. It's very hard to lose a pet, but I'm sure he had 11 wonderful years and now you are relieving him of his pain. I know you are going to be very sad for at least a couple of weeks, but it will start getting better. You might find it therapeutic to put together a scrap book of pictures or a site on line of your time with your cat. It can be therapeutic. He will always be a part of that time in your life.

I have been in so much pain today, the week actually, but ran out of pain meds due to not having the finances to pay for my Ultram until my paycheck comes in. Please pray for me. I recently had to terminate my 10 year in-house MT position in diagnostic clinic of local hospital due to need for guidance/supervision of teenage son with Down Syndrome. I have had several employees contact me and say they were interested and then I never hear back from them. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. I really prayed about terminating in-house. My dog CJ is sick. He's not breathing right. As I mentioned elsewhere, chest x-ray showed pneumothorax, but the vet didn't put a tube in - he wants a specialist to see him. There were some shadows over his lungs they saw 5 days ago, but now the x-rays show pneumothorax and the vet is guessing lung cancer. CJ is only 6. Siberians are supposed to be healthy and I already lost Misha at Christmas, so I called the breeders. They want me to take him to another vet one of them has used. I have school and can't miss that, but DH can take him in the morning. Please pray the first vet is wrong and it's just a spontaneous pneumothorax or something curable. He is a sweet, cuddly boy who loves his mama.
