Please pray for a pain-free death for my dear friend Lonna. [2008-09-09]
Lonna is a beautiful young stewardess and mother of a lovely 12-year-old daughter. She has a very aggressive and virulent lung cancer that has spread throughout her body. After a noble fight, she is currently in hospice care to keep her comfortable during her final days. Please pray that Lonna will be kept pain free, comfortable, and at peace until the lord takes her from this earth. She is a wonderful, loving, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who does not deserve to suffer during the final days of her life. I certainly sympathize with you. I was diagnosed in 1981 with fibromyositis. I have flare ups and then get better some. I have found malic acid helps me quite a bit. Of course the Lord has surely come to my rescue and I believe he will do the same for you. I am praying for you healing and will continue to do so. May God bless and keep you.

I can't say I know how you feel with the fibromyalgia, but I DO suffer from bad headaches from a prior neck injury! I usually have to pop a pill, right when I feel it coming on, because it is too late if I wait. There are times when I just have to lay down. I have had luck with the chiropractor though. Have you researched (I'm sure you have) fibro. and other alternatives? I have heard acupuncture works for a number of things. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I will remember you in my prayers and hope that your pain goes away! Are you the one that just got the job at Keystrokes?

Hi, Thank you for your prayers. I have occipital neuralgia. They are also laying off at my company. I am very worried as I can no longer MT because of the pain in my neck and skull. Am QA. Could I just perhaps have her first name? I feel it is important to mention her name to the Lord, even though He already knows her! You know, we all get so upset about our own situations, and the past few years have been pretty GRIM for our family, but her story has really touched my heart and I will pray so hard for a reversal of all her pain and problems, and for peace, prosperity, health, and bleesings for your friend. Tramadol is the generic form of Ultram and you can get it for a copay of $4 I think at some pharmacy outlets like WalMart. I could not take it due to an allergy and it did not help that much. A microwave activated heating pad helped me a lot as well as some other generics for $4 copay. Pain is awful in this field, and very prevalent, will hope for the best for you. If you have insurance, ask for a TENS unit, doesn't hurt, may help. Stay strong.

I am asking for prayers. I suffer from fibromyalgia plus other underlying conditions. I have been in so much pain today, the week actually, but ran out of pain meds due to not having the finances to pay for my Ultram until my paycheck comes in. My doctor doesn't carry samples of these. I have been praying and praying and praying and I just am to the point now where I don Please, pray for me, send good thoughts to me, anything. I am so down, in pain daily, still trying to work (no other choice) until I hear from disability which can take years if I even get approved. I try to stay positive and a believer, but right now, it is very hard and I need help. Thank you

I lost both of my parents within the same year as well when I was fairly young - just havingyoung children like yourselfand I really needed them. I stand, walk, and live in faith. In hard timesI pick up the Bible, pray, read, I grab ahold of the Cross I wear around my neck, which I guess it is my way of reminding me how much I am blessed and this helps.I still miss my parents and I know I always will. My father died 13 years ago (colon cancer), and my mother died 2 years ago (multiple health problems/ultimate liver failure). My husband I just got a call last night that my uncle is dying of liver failure; he has maybe days to live (my mother My son is performing today at school for a little school idol competition, and I feel like I have no one to call and come see. You are not alone. My husband works a lot too. My kids are 13 and 8 and I stand strong for them. I will pray for you that you too can get over this tough time. I still try to laugh and still need to cry, but I am moving forward and you will too! That baby needs you more than ever and cry when the baby cries, it helps! No matter how silly that sounds. A good cry does wonders. I have faith, but do not attend church. I Sometimes I just listen to religious music (Alan Jackson is my favorite) and it helps soothe me to know that God is with us. He gives us troubles to keep us strong. I will certainly pray that you can move up and on and congrats on the new baby (even if he is six months old). What a joy to have a little one who is healthy and can bring things into perspective for you! Take care, God Bless, and you are definitely not alone in wondering why everyone has been taken from me. My 8-year-old daughter is still struggling with my Mom I also know the feeling of unconditional love from parents, and there (Hugs.)

Any of you who believes in prayer, please pray for a 3-year-old little girl who was just diagnosed with cancer (I believe rhabdomyosarcoma) Stage IV. The last I heard was that there were tumors all over her and all she ever complained of was leg pain. She is in ST. Judes in Memphis. Thanks a lot all of you. I have seen miraculous healings in the past. But, I am sure I will get a lot of flack about this. Thanks anyway!

I really appreciate those who came on with posts. I am starting to heal, although not completely of course. I still think about my Chuy and will cry occasionally, but it makes me happy to think he is in Heaven and protected by God now. No more pain, no more torture, only happiness and freedom to run forever. We are getting a new little dog, so maybe that we help to focus our energy and attention on our new dog.Pets are so wonderful and give you so much love and devotion. What more could you want??? SO

Iyou are going through this. May God loosen what needs to be loosened, strengthen what needs to be strengthened, release pain, and heal any damage. I pray this is a passing thing and not something needing a major operation or other major treatment. And I pray for peace as you commit your way to Him. May you feel His arms around you and be comforted when you need to cry on His shoulder. He loves you and will make a way for you. He specializes in the impossible, He really does. right now and all through the night, I have insomnia a lot, gives me lots of time for talking to God! ;) I also have injured vertebrae in my neck, C5-6, car accident, I know the horrible pain and the nerve problems, as you AR feeling in your arm. May our dear Lord, whose love surpasses all understanding, fill you with his healing power, and give you renewed strength, peace, and prosperity. I fell down some stairs and reinjured my already operated neck. Please pray that I wont't need more surgery as my arms hurt. Afraid of recovery time from a possible fusion. I You sound like a WONDERFUL mommy to the furry kids. :) I have three bassetts that I love so much! I know how you feel. When they don When I read your post, I was hoping that maybe Sasha had an infected salivary gland. My bassett had a huge lump in her neck and turned out to be infected salivary gland. She is fine. I have another bassett that has lipomas all over, and has for a few years. My vet said that She said she So we have never had her lipomas taken off. She has a HUGE one on her rib cage area. She is 11 y/o. Anyway, I didn I hope your Sasha will still have more years to bring you happiness. Keep us posted.

Bad news ... again. [2007-10-09]
I have been noticing changes in Sasha. This is our healthy Sasha, the rescue we got when she was about 1 year old, who is just about 8 years old now. Other than her vaccinations, checkups and preventive meds and the ear that had to be stitched when she was bitten, she hasn't had any health problems. No UTIs, ear infections, eye trouble, nothing. DH mentioned she looked fat, especially around her neck. And I'd been noticing she wasn't eating well. I thought the new foster dog was making her nervous or something. He wanted to play too much, which was confusing because she always wanted to play before. Since he mentioned her neck, I just had to probe around in her thick fur, where I found 2 egg-sized lumps under her jaw. I think that was Friday, and I decided to take her and Cedric to Petsmart this evening. I noticed Banfield vet was open. They agreed to see Sasha (they sewed up her ear that one time). The Banfield vet was most unhappy to have to tell me Sasha has lymphoma. He did an aspiration and we will find out how bad. Can't I have any dogs for a full life span? Is it wrong to love dogs?

Lord, I pray for those who suffer with pain each day. I pray Lord that You will send your healing power through the bodies of those who sufferer and make them whole. Lord, we know that when You died on the cross for us You gave us instant healing. I pray that those who are in pain will own that healing every day. Lord, let the Holy Spirit fill each and every one of these dear people with strength and guide them every day. My husband had a slightly similar problem a few years ago. He had severe pain in the back of his head and saw neurologist after neurologist. For months, they poked and prodded and couldn He then had problems with his vision. It turns out he was diabetic. Have you been tested for diabetes? I'll keep you in my prayers.

I continue to have chronic pain in my skull, feels like large snakes are pushing out 24/7. No doctor can understand it. Don't know if it is fibro, occipital neuralgia or what. My neuro will not repeat a brain MRI as the one last year was negative. The insurance company has denied another MRI of my neck of which I have had c3-6 laminectomy in 2002 and occipital nerve cut in 2004. Please pray for an answer for me. My neurosurgeon doesn't know what is wrong either and doesn't care. Please pray for my healing as I can hardly go on, also having extreme blurred vision. I cannot even drive anymore. I have to work and support myself. Thank you all so much and God Bless.

The second vet office was MUCH more [2007-08-25]
helpful. They were able to do an ultrasound. When looking at the chest x-rays, they could clearly see the pneumothorax on the very first film. Because they had a series of studies, they were able to see changes that meant the shadows were NOT cancer. CJ did have a pneumothorax, and they treated it by putting in a chest tube. They also gave pain medication. We won't be going back to that first vet office. They don't seem to handle this kind of emergency well at all. In fact I'm going to try to get my money back for the first visit where they only took a chest x-ray at my insistance, and then they missed the correct diagnosis of pneumothorax. Which is so dumb when I went in there saying he was in respiratory distress and that first vet said I was wrong, that he had gastric distress and I needed to stick strictly to dog food. CJ still has the chest tube in, so we are attempting to drain out more air as instructed thru the stopcock, but not having much success. But CJ is smiling and eating and drinking again, so we are quite happy and relieved.

It might even be a brain tumor. Those things can happen with a brain tumor. You're doing the right thing. It's very hard to lose a pet, but I'm sure he had 11 wonderful years and now you are relieving him of his pain. I know you are going to be very sad for at least a couple of weeks, but it will start getting better. You might find it therapeutic to put together a scrap book of pictures or a site on line of your time with your cat. It can be therapeutic. He will always be a part of that time in your life.

My cat has been biting me and pooping on the floor. He is 11 years old. He does not have any health problems the vet is aware of either. I think he has become senile. I have tried everything to calm him down to no avail. I decided we had to part ways as he bit me again in bed. I cannot take it on top of my chronic pain syndrome.
