I was just there over Christmas in Beaver Dam WI and it was snowing...tornadoes in January???? Very strange...I was born and raised there and have had tornadoes in spring and summer but never during the winter. How odd...

They are saying about 4-5 different tornadoes; 3went through Wheatland (where I live) and 1 in Kenosha. Wheatland is a very small town, but while my husband was traveling in Germany (when the tornado hit), he bought a USA Today, and there was Wheatland, WI on the front page. The amount of damage is unbelievable.

I will try to make this brief. I have marital problems, husband is gone all the time. I came to work at home again because I have no help with our children. I need to be here if they are sick and be here when they get home from school. But I have become once again socially isolated (I did this type of work for years and had a job outside of the home and enjoyed it, except for the fact that my children did not get enough attention, so I quit). I do have friends but I don I used to walk several miles a day but never do that anymore, have gained weight, eat junk food, stay on the computer too long. I am constantly busy. I still do volunteer work with my children - Scouts, church, etc., but I am so overwhelmed. My husband is almost never here. It almost feels more like he comes to visit us sometimes than actually lives here, but I need his help financially and my son is very afraid for me to get a divorce (long story, but he is afraid he would have to live part-time with his dad, and they are not close). I have debt that my husband doesn But he won When I tell him I need more money he tells me things like, turn off the cable TV or don The thing is he spends lots and lots of money on entertaining himself. He makes 3 x as much as I do (or maybe 4 by now). I have not been allowed to open his mail for years and we pretty much never talk. I have started to allow things to pile up, mail around my desk, weight around my middle, clutter here and there. I just feel like a big slug. I am tired much of the time. In reading this I sound depressed but I am already taking an antidepressant which I started a few years ago because of my marriage.I love my children so dearly but I am afraid of leaving and disrupting their lives. If I left I would at least get my part of the equity in ourhome, etc., and maybe have a chance at having a life again. Anyway, I know this is long and rambling and jumbled, but I just woke up, from another night of poor sleep. Please suggest what you would do. Thanks

Prayers for Calvin [2008-07-23]
I will say a prayer for your kitty. Does he have dental disease by chance? My vet told me that can cause all of those problems. My siamese was making weird noises with his teeth, brought him to the vet and he needs dental work, poor thing, sore gums and he is eating a good diet too, but dental disease can cause many problems. I have one cat with diabetes, on insulin and just lost my 14 year old due to a cancerous tumor in his little heart, he was my buddy. They become such an integral part of the family and I still look for my cat, who followed me everywhere. Good luck with Calvin, hope his illness can be fixed.

Prayers for those affected by the midwest floods [2008-06-20]
I actually live in Lincoln County, Missouri but am more to the central part of the county. I have a lot of family and friends that live along the Mississippi River that have lost their belongings or are facing damage leftover by these floods. Please prayer for them as well as the farmers whose crops have been destroyed. Please also be praying for the thousands of men and woman of the Army Reserve and Army National Guard who are desperately working to save these small river towns. They are not much but to some they areall they have. Thank you.....

I would contact the mortgage company and tell them the situation, that you don If you I think you may have been dealing with an overly aggressive person who only cared about getting the payment and nothing else. Be honest with them. About 10 years ago, I lost a house due to foreclosure so I totally understand what you Back then, there weren I contacted different agencies to find out how to save my house, but they weren We weren't in the mortgage crisis that we're in right now, so I guess they really didn't care. If they Do you have friends or family who could help you? Do whatever you can to save your house! Are there things around the house you can sell? Craigslist is an awesome place to sell stuff. Their website is craigslist.com. It I have purchased from Craigslist, including living room furniture and a lawnmower. If you decide to go this route, make sure you also put a picture of the item on the website. When I go to Craigslist, I only look at the ads that have pictures. It is important to understand that the mortgage company does not want your house. They will work with you. Sometimes mortgage companies will let you put a past due payment onto the back of the mortgage which could make you current. Feel free to email me if you'd like!

prayer, please include this request. Yesterday afternoon about 5:15 I left my wallet laying on the regist at Wal-Mart. The cashier mistakenly gave my wallet to the lady behind me in the checkout line. She saw the wallet laying there after that lady had checked and just automatically assumed that it was hers and took it to her in the parking lot. The poor girl didn Management went back and looked at the video and are pretty sure it was my wallet. The other lady did pay out of a wallet that looked similar to it, but they could see another wallet laying on a different part of the checkout the entire time, so they I have taken the necessary precaution of reporting the 1 credit card I had in there and will call my bank this morning to report my debit card as lost and put a stop payment on 3 checks that were in there. I didn And, of course, my wallet and my social security card are in there, too. Please help me pray and trust that this lady will be honest and return that wallet if, indeed, it is mine. Thanks. Grandbaby [2007-12-06]
Please pray for my husband and me to see our grandson. At this time, our son and his wife are being very mean-spirited toward us and there is no good reason for it, just that they have strange ideas that we are trying to do something or that we do not respect them in some way, when reality is they do not respect us. There It is a long, long story and may sound trivial, but our hearts are heavy for not being able to visit their home and see them or our little Noah. We had to wait a whole year to see him after he was born and then we got to spend about 9 months with them and had great times together when suddenly my daughter-in-law got mad and shut the door once again and we cannot figure out why. We believe she may have emotional problems and our son is just caught in the middle; however, we are baffled that he cannot see what they are doing is hurting not only us, but little Noah as well. Please pray for total restoration, and this time, we want our relationship to be built on real love and real respect, otherwise, this could happen over and over again. We live3 hours from them and did not get to see them much as it was, but now, we have been cut off completely. Thank you all for your prayers.

I developed breast cancer and I believe it was from Clomid (although no one will tell me that). I was 35 at the time...now 46 and everything is fine. I know God didn't give me cancer, but I think it was a wakeup call from him telling me that I had a wonderful life and that if children are part of His plan for me, it will happen. I was obscessed with getting pregnant back then, but after the BC, I decided to focus on the life I had and I am very happy to be alive! If you are meant to have children, you will have them - either biologically or through adoption. May God Bless You!! If it is in his will, I believe you will conceive. My prayer for you is that God blesses you and gives you peace while you wait. :)

I went through this about 6 years ago. I had a couple of miscarriages, then the doctor put me on clomid and it failed too. He suggested an infirtility specialist, and since I was 39 at the time my dh and I decided to look into adoption instead. We adopted our son (Anthony, 9 at the time) in March 2001 and I was pregnant 3 weeks later. I know that this is not the answer for everyone, but I truly believe the Lord wanted our Anthony in our family first. Cora was born in December 2001 and then our baby Tommy was born in November 2003. The message here is do not give up. Pray hard and keep an open mind and ear to what God wants you to do. We had such a strong feeling for the adoption, so figured it must be God sending us that way. I will definitely pray for you, it is the hardest thing in the world to go through. Do not under any circumstances take any blame on you or let your dh take any blame. It is not a blame situation, but part of God Hugs Praying...

My niece's mother suffered a broken back and husband of my niece is in critical condition on a vent. The other child is doing well. The worse part of it was my niece was trying to save the 4-year-old and ALMOST made it out. Firefighters couldn't reach them in time. They were only a few feet from the front door but the heat was too intense.

It might even be a brain tumor. Those things can happen with a brain tumor. You're doing the right thing. It's very hard to lose a pet, but I'm sure he had 11 wonderful years and now you are relieving him of his pain. I know you are going to be very sad for at least a couple of weeks, but it will start getting better. You might find it therapeutic to put together a scrap book of pictures or a site on line of your time with your cat. It can be therapeutic. He will always be a part of that time in your life.

having to put cat down [2007-07-09]
My cat has been biting me and pooping on the floor. He is 11 years old. He does not have any health problems the vet is aware of either. I think he has become senile. I have tried everything to calm him down to no avail. I decided we had to part ways as he bit me again in bed. I cannot take it on top of my chronic pain syndrome. I think I need to do something else. Working home isn't for everybody, and it's not for me. The job I want doesn't pay very well, but right now I think the main thing is a 4-day work week, or even part-time. I'm married and DH has a good job. I don't have kids. Is it so wrong to want to get off the hamster wheel at 44 years of age? There is other stuff I want to do with my life besides work. Why do I feel so guilty? Please pray for me. Obviously I'm in need of wisdom!
