I've been pretty [2008-09-09]
nervous about the whole thing. I put if off for a while. I just hope I can get it accomplished in the amount of time I have given myself. My husband graduates in June and I hope to be done by then so we can start our new careers at the same time! It should be fun though, and rewarding. I'm not a big fan of schooling, so this is going to be a bit of a chalange for me, quite an accomplishment in my mind.

This might seem like too little of an issue compared to all of the major things going on in people's lives right now, but I figured I would ask for all of your prayers anyway... I just started a new chapter in my life. I am transitioning from medical transcription to medical coding. I start school TOMORROW. I'm really nervous and anxious to get started, but very excited as well. Any support would be appreciated as this is very stressful for me and I could use a good support network! Thanks to all who read this board. You all are angels in disguise. Everyone can use a prayer in their favor now and again!

Hello: I am married to a recovering alcoholic/drug addict, sober for 24 years. Your husband needs to,unfortunately hit rock bottom before he gets the help he needs. I have been in your shoes, but my husband was not verbally or physically abusive. After three tries in a drug/alcohol rehab program, he finally got it, because I told him, it is the alcohol or it is me and our son. He chose us, got the help. I knew there was good person under the booze/drugs and I stayed with him, even though my family and his told me to leave him. But, if you enable him, he will continue to drink. I don Is there any way you can take children away from him and his abuse. I did enable my husband before I knew what to do. It is a long struggle and a hard one and only you can decide when enough is enough and where to seek help. I would never allow abuse in my home, but everyone is different as to what they call abuse and what they can tolerate. Good luck. Al-Anon did not help me, but AA did help me, when I went with my husband. My prayers are with you and your life. Remember, there is nothing that you have done or have said to make this person verbally or physically attack you, and you did not make him drink. Alcoholism is a disease as is drug addiction and only once that person admits that he has a problem and seeks help can he/she be helped. When people do not understand addiction the first thing they will ask is what did you do to make him go out and drink/use drugs. I did nothing, but I did enable him by providing him a place to sleep and gave him my car to use, that is enabling. They are also so sorry the next morning and promise never to do it again, and unfortunately that usually is not the case.

Would you please pray for strength and courage for my godson, Terry, as he is trying to straighten out his life and He is a good young man but has gotten much bad advice about Hehas now seen the light and is trying to start his life over again at age 29. Prayers for his courage, wisdom and strength would be so greatly appreciated. Prayers for his older brother who is taking him in would also be very much appreciated. Thanks so much.

prayer for mom [2007-12-14]
Hello Please pray for my mom who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has been operated on and is set to start chemo next week for about the next five months. She has already lost so much weight and is already so frail so I pray that she will make it through the horrible chemo. I lost my dad two years ago to Alzheimer This has been so devastating to all of us and I am praying for strength for me and my family as well as we deal with this and to help us pull mom through all of this. I know we have a long road ahead of us, but hopefully with prayer we will get through this one day at a time and have a very good outcome. I appreciate any and all prayers. Thanks so much.

Lord, I just lift up Cindi to you. I pray for her that you would fill her fresh and new with your Holy Spirit today and that you would guide her and direct her in her life. Give her a fresh new start Lord as your mercies are new every morning, your Word says. I pray for healing for her son with the mental illness and that you would heal him in Jesus' Name and for healing for Cindi's lupus Lord in Jesus' Name if it is Your will that they be totally healed. If not Lord I pray that you would give Cindi the grace that is sufficient that you gave Paul when he was buffeted by a thorn and he asked 3 times for it to be removed and you said, My grace is sufficient for you. So if this is where you have Cindi right now, I pray that you use it to bring her closer to you and fill her with your Spirit and your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her a scripture to hang onto and Lord I pray that you just fill her up today and help her to trust you and not worry. In Jesus precious Holy Name I pray....AMEN... Need MT Job from home [2007-09-14]
Please pray for me. I recently had to terminate my 10 year in-house MT position in diagnostic clinic of local hospital due to need for guidance/supervision of teenage son with Down Syndrome. I have had several employees contact me and say they were interested and then I never hear back from them. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. I really prayed about terminating in-house. I felt it was time I start putting my handicapped son/my family first. I have put my work first for years. Any suggestions, please post a message for me. Becky (lonely at home and getting poor without work, but God promises he will provide all my needs, and he has in the past).

Update: Funeral arrangements and viewing took place [2007-08-14]
on Sunday. Jim is out of the hospital and doing as good as can be expected. His lungs were badly burned. They lost everything and the fire company and other volunteer groups have set up benefits to help them get a new start and the bankset up afund to help, but I donLisa and her son.

It might even be a brain tumor. Those things can happen with a brain tumor. You're doing the right thing. It's very hard to lose a pet, but I'm sure he had 11 wonderful years and now you are relieving him of his pain. I know you are going to be very sad for at least a couple of weeks, but it will start getting better. You might find it therapeutic to put together a scrap book of pictures or a site on line of your time with your cat. It can be therapeutic. He will always be a part of that time in your life.
