A selfish request for my family and me [2008-05-03]
My SO is battling alcoholism and at the moment is losing the fight. Last night, he became verbally abusive (common after the 16th or so Budwiser) and physically violent (a new occurrence). I have been asked by his 13-year-old son to please stay (both parents are alcoholics and apparently I am the only stable influence in this childsanity and for God to help me find the strength to do what is necessary to protect and preserve my family.

Praying for my family. They are all searching and not in agreement with the religion I baptized them in. This is okay with me, I just hope they find their answers. What hurts is that they are not getting it as far as it not being a contest and refusing to step foot into the door of the religion they were baptized in. It won't kill them once in awhile to attend special occasions. I do in their case. I cannot even prepay my own funeral as they are against stepping foot in my church - well, it's not them, it's the ones they married. So sad.

They are burying their 11y/o daughter/sister today - she had cystic fibrosis and had a double lung transplant -rejected. She was an amazing little girl and an inspiration to many.. He is in his late 20's, bipolar, will not take his meds, suicidal, and has run off to a girlfriend's house who he met in rehab. His sister is looking for him and has found a treatment facility that will take him. He really is a sweet young man who needs help and prayers desperately. My brother and SIL are beside themselves with sadness, fear, and anger. Thank you!

Good evening, all. I I have been having some health issues for the last few years that have snowballed over the last couple of months. In the last 3 weeks I During the procedure the urologist did a more thorough exam under anesthesia and felt a definite mass in my colon! This may be what has been causing issues with my stomach the last few months. I have to see a GI doctor tomorrow to schedule a colonoscopy. My grandmother had colon cancer, so there is a family history, and I am really scared. I would appreciate your prayers.

prayer, please include this request. Yesterday afternoon about 5:15 I left my wallet laying on the regist at Wal-Mart. The cashier mistakenly gave my wallet to the lady behind me in the checkout line. She saw the wallet laying there after that lady had checked and just automatically assumed that it was hers and took it to her in the parking lot. The poor girl didn Management went back and looked at the video and are pretty sure it was my wallet. The other lady did pay out of a wallet that looked similar to it, but they could see another wallet laying on a different part of the checkout the entire time, so they I have taken the necessary precaution of reporting the 1 credit card I had in there and will call my bank this morning to report my debit card as lost and put a stop payment on 3 checks that were in there. I didn And, of course, my wallet and my social security card are in there, too. Please help me pray and trust that this lady will be honest and return that wallet if, indeed, it is mine. Thanks. I wanted to request prayer for myself. I am having a bad day, feeling down and in a funk. There have been a lot of changes in my family over the past year and it just hits me sometimes. Restoration of my marriage PLEASE [2007-09-16]

I was on Craig - he is only 21 and wants to go to Hawaii and California. You don't need to request prayers, and this is a wonderful thing. Do you know why? Because your Father knows what you're going through. He promises to never forsake you. Just pray for Him to help you get through it, to give you some peace and then meditate in a quiet room, listening to the silence and feeling that peace. I am sharing experience with you, which is why I now look at anything bad to happen in my life as just one more way to mature in His Word. Spend some time one-on-one with Him. Tell Him how much you love Him. Thank Him for being there. Please know that Jesus grieves when you grieve. He feels your pain. The Bible and its promises are forever and never change, even though this world is a changing, terrible place at times. I pray now that you find peace in the shadow of His cross to help you through this. Depend on Him and truly believe with your faith that He is leading you. It's all in His will.
