Can anyone tell me just how good/expensive of a stethoscope I need when just starting clinicals? There is such a variety out there and I don't want to spend a lot of money if I don't have to. TIA!

transcription/nursing [2006-08-26]
I have recently gone back to school for nursing after doing transcription for 10 years. The only problem I have run into is the fact that almost every school has a waiting list to begin nursing classes. Some schools operate on a first come, first served method and others base admission on grades, experience, etc. Even the extremely expensive private schools in my area have at least a 1 to 2 semester wait. I would say that if you are interested, do what you need to do to get on the waiting list and take a few classes to see if you are really interested. I truly believe MT is a dying field, and so I have decided to take steps now before I am stuck with no job.
