This might sound like an odd [2007-06-01]
question, but are you certain that your friend understands her diagnosis completely?I have a friend who told me that the doctor gave her 2 years to live because of some problem with her liver. It turns out that she was just in a bad emotional state when she went to her doctor and did not really comprehend what she was being told. She assumed the worst. She has no medical background at all so she was easily confused.
I would wonder if your friend is mistaken. I hope, for her sake, that she is. I would suggest she get another opinion.
