2 years ago, and after her previous dog was kind've a head-case, she got his book and followed his methods. (She also started off with pupply obedience group classes.) It's a huge dog - half Husky & half Golden Retriever - and she is now the best behaved and most wonderful dog imaginable. I attended a pet parade with her and her dog that she was photographing, and some people's dogs were behaving terribly, but her Dog-Whisperer-technique dog was a total lady. She can take that dog ANYWHERE. But of course the secret is she is dedicated to training, and works with her at least twice a day on their long walks through the neighborhood.

If you haven't already, read books about Adult Children of Alcoholics. My dad was a serious alcoholic who managed to hold down 2 full time jobs. He was either coming home drunk in the middle of the night and waking up everyone fighting with my mother, or when he would have a day off, he was an Awesome fun Dad. He never drank at home or in front of us. So it was very confusing. Fast forward many years, at 63 he was diagnosed with cirrhosis and bleeding ulcers and had an emergency subtotal gastrectomy because he almost died. From there on, he stopped drinking because he had to, not because he wanted too. He died less than 3 years later. He lived with me for the last 2 years and I took care of him, and we became very close. It didn't erase all the bad stuff, but I was at peace when he died. I would try to make amends with your Dad now and let go of the past, because to put it bluntly you are a big girl now and you can't be angry about your childhood forever. It is not healthy.

I usually make a diaper wreath to hang on the door for the shower, gift for parents, and can also be used on the hospital door. Very easy and some will use the diapers off of it, some will keep as a keepsake. That one is always funny. I saw in Rachael Ray magazine that they used clear baby bottles for vases and put flowers in them for decorations. You could also give mom a gift of a photo session for belly art. Some of those are Awesome if you get someone who knows what they are doing. I can tell you that security forces WILL be deployed, especially now that many bases are short handed. That means they can go anywhere armed forces are in place. I believe they deploy for up to 179 days at a giventime because to deploy for 180 days would mean a change of duty station, which is a lot of paperwork and expense. He could literally be deployed for 179 days, home for 1 day, then deployed again if they wanted to send him some place else. If they are telling him he will be gone 180 days a year then he probably will be gone at least that much. Ibelieve they do TRY to let them be at their home base for stretches if it can be done. It is a lot to ask of a spouse if and when he gets married. That said, however, I believe the AF is still a good choice for many people because of the Awesome benefits and training they offer. If he can stay for 20 he will also get that retirement check every month, which is the best part of all! Best of luck to him.

I did not know until today. Both CNN and FOX reported that a Chinese gymnast who won a bronze in 2000 admitted later on she was only 14 at the time, but the govt falsified her records to make her age 16. One of the girls on the team this year looks about 10 years old. I will not make excuses for the USA girls, but at least they won the silver without breaking the rules. What bothers me the most is inhearing how several teams had gymnasts who were better skilled, yet they had to choose other athletes of age to not break the rules. Fair is fair. If the Chinese are cheating, everyone acts like there is nothing that can be done. Well, why not? Not to be funny, but I think it is only common sense to think that a girl who is not yet developed and has no figure yet can handle a balance beam easier than a girl with curves. Same thing happens in figure skating. Okay, now I am getting on a tangent. Sorry, the Chinese girls were Awesome to watch, but everyone should have to follow the rules... makes me wonder what the deal is.

Hey I had posted awhile back regarding my frustrations finding a decent doctor. I came across an article talking about rating doctors on the Internet and it listed the RateMDs.com website. Of course, the AMA and other doctors are all in a huff about patients, God forbid, rating them online. Anyways, I went to RateMDs.com and found a doctor I had been to had already received a poor rating! Hehe I added to it. But I also used it to help me choose a new PCP who had an excellent rating. The receptionist also told me that they have new patients on Thursday and allot more time so they can go over their medical history and issues! Wow I thought, that We But if any of you have a doctor you hate, like or need to find a new one, go check it out!

I was sick last week...all week..and I felt the same way. Sad, but I even called my mom. I said, Mommy, it hurts! LOL. Seriously though, I cried like a baby to my mom on the phone. Finally when I did that, hubby realized maybe I really WAS sick and actually put the kids to bed (only 1 night though). Sorry you're sick, and WE care!
