Probably a yeast infection - sm [2008-12-03]
I am overweight and have a pannus which I need to keep an eye on it underneath gets quite irritated and once I started to get a yeast infection I believe. I just used the athletes foot cream on it for a couple days and it cleared right up. I hope to one day (after I lose about 80 pounds) have it removed and have an abdominoplasty.....just need to save up $7-8K for the surgery as my insurance won't pay for that, LOL.

We were old-time Folger's fans until recently, and I told my husband to change the type of coffee we were buying. Folger's tasted different, almost a bitter taste. I too used bottled water, and we changed our coffee pot too. It didn't work, so I am glad to know it was not just my taste buds that were off. It also smelled different.

Cold/sinus infection with beginning of period? [2008-06-25]
Okay, here The day before my period, for the last year or so, I get a horrendously bad cold/sinus infection/flu-type process. It usually goes away about a day or two after my period. I have never ever had this happen before and its really bad this month. I have all the symptoms... stuffiness, red runny eyes, runny stuffy nose, pounding headache, throat like daggers, etc. It started as postnasal drip yesterday and I thought ohhh great... here we go. Needless to say I was up most of last night in complete tears because of the pain of it all and not being able to swallow at all. I have tried researching on the internet about this happening, but can Has anyone heard of this or had this happen? I just want to stop it. truly, I would take the worst god awful cramps over this torture. I have had this both on and off the pill and I am only 31. Any information would be appreciated as I know what a wealth of information our community could be. Unfortunately, I am in Europe and so I can The doctors here don’t do anything about anything unless its major either and I know they will brush it off as some silly sinus infection, but it happens every month and goes away in 3 days on its own, so it can Any advice is welcome. I go home to the US in 6 months and I can wait if I have to, but maybe some angel out there knows something to help. I have tried tons of medications and herbal things/natropathic and nothing works except my period being established.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the icky topic. ;)
uterine infection [2008-06-16]
Has anyone ever had a uterine infection? I had one 4 years ago and then recently I had another. I took the 10 days of antibiotics and then in a few days it started to come back. I have never seen a more persistent type of infection. When I had it 4 years ago I had to have my antibiotics refilled 3 times to get rid of it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this.
They like him now, in the beginning it was [2008-04-14]
little difficult. The first time they met him was at the zoo for a picnic through his work. They were 10 and 5 at the time, so that way they weren't just thrown together with him one-on-one like if I had had him over to dinner. In the beginning we did things like that, or went to the movies where they really didn't have to interact all that much with them. Then gradually he was around more and more. They are now 18 and 13 and they get along great. He had an adjusment to make as well, his kids are 25 and 22, so he wasn't used to being around little ones again. We have been together 8 years now, and they just sort of expect him to be around all the time. I didn't try to force him or them on each other, but they knew about him, and once they saw I was happier with him than I had been in years, they adjusted pretty well.

I hit hard at the beginning...sm [2008-02-18]
I work at the beginning of the pay period to get ahead a little bit so if I have a slacking day, I am okay. It is hard to stay motivated constantly, but this way most of the time, I see myself ahead of the game money wise and that motivates me more. I also keep a checklist of the bills and goodies that i want and check them off as i accumulate the money. Keeps my spending under control AND feels great when all those bills have check marks next to them. Doing this stuff, i have almost doubled my production over the last six months. Hope one of these help!

Anyone else get a foot spa pedicure and end up with a fungal infection? [2007-10-19]
I am horrified to say the least. I never, ever go get manicures or pedicures because I am aware of all the nasty germs that lurk in places like that, but one of my friends wanted to go and I went with her. I have to say, it was a lot of fun and very relaxing, but when we were leaving I saw their health score framed on the wall. It was an 83!!! That was 4 months ago. The infection is only on my great toe on 1 foot, so for that I am glad. So now it is 3 months of Lamisil and LFTs every month. Anyone else ever experience this?
I have a question about an infection [2007-09-30]
I woke you yesterday with my entire head and face hurting. I felt sure this was a sinus infection but really didn By yesterday evening I was having a lot of pain between my shoulder blades. The only relief I got was lying on my side. Throughout the night the pain spread through my entire back.I haven Basically took it easy most of yesterday. I tossed and turned all night becasue everytime I could get comfortable it would only last a few minutes. Using a heating pad seemed to make it worse. About the only way I can get comfortable is sitting up but hunched over with my arms crossed in front of me. It is possible for an infection to spread to my back like this. Help...I have to go to a funeral this afternoon.

Get an excuse, for a normal period that most all girls have? [2007-09-20]
You seem to be jumping to higher ups before anyone talks with the teacher. I would ask for a conference with that particular teacher to see what is said about the incident. Can you just image giving every female off for having a period? Does that seem like you should have an excuse for something that is so normal? I say introduce the daughter to tampons, welcome to the adult world!

It's just sensationalism. It seems that journalism has gone to a warm place in a handbasket. I briefly majored in journalism back in 1980, and what passes for journalism now would have flunked any of us right our of an entry-level course! It's all sensational reporting, because networks think that brings in the viewers, and thus drives up the advertising price that they can charge during broadcasts.
Another of my pet peeves in journalism is the phrase Unconfirmed sources say . . . Yeah. Right. Unconfirmed sources is just another way of saying, Rumor has it . . .
Next time there is breaking news, listen for it. It's said over and over again, because the networks and stations want to get the news out first. I don't know what happened to fact-checking and pursuit of the truth in journalism, but it's all about getting info out fast, and keeping the public tuned in with the most sensational reports that they can put out there.
Back in the days of the Roman Empire, people were treating each other pretty badly and in unbelievable ways, too. Crucifixion comes to mind. So, I don't really think modern news reports are pointing to end times any more than at any other time in recorded history.

You may want to see a doctor if you [2008-12-03]
haven't already. I had tinea versicolor many years ago. My experience was that I noticed the pigment of my skin was changing - having the usual color with sort of white spots all over. The doctor told me it is a fungal infection. I never had problems with irritation, burning or itching, just the loss of pigment. He gave me a body wash that I had to use 3 X a week. You apply it to the body and then wait for 20 minutes and then take a shower. It took close to a year to get rid of it. Although I am not a doctor, it doesn't sound like tinea versicolor but more like an allergic reaction to the wire of the bra. I would see a doctor to find out exactly what it is.

A Co worker/friend mentioned to me today that she had an embarassing problem, but wasn't sure if she needed to go to have it checked out. She said she occassionally had an odor in her belly button. She treats it by applying peroxide to it nightly.
I think her problem may be an infection of some kind anyway I suggested she have it looked at. Tinea Versicolor? [2008-12-01]
Three months ago I moved during a hot, humid 2-day period using a car w/o AC. I wore a very uncomfortable underwire bra because it was the only clean one that had not been packed up. I developed an irritation under my arms that I attributed to that irritation from the bra and being sweaty. It has itched and burned forall thistime, sometimes getting a little better. Me and my husband used to smoke...a lot, each over two packs a day. I got sick and quit, but I did not ask him to quit. He would blow smoke in my face and really kept hoping I would start up again, but I never did.
He was really angry with me for quitting.
Then his ego could not take it anymore and he quit. He figured if I could do it, how hard could it be? Believe me, he was humbled. Anyone who quits smoking is humbled. Cigarettes are tough to beat.
He was really mean to me when he was quitting smoking too like it was my punishment.
My point is that no one ever tells you that sometimes you have to stand up to the ones you love, maybe your kids or your husband, whoever. Sometimes people we love take us forgranted or bully us. Maybe we think that if they loved us they would not put us through that stuff. I think the truth is we are just supposed to stand up for ourselves period, even at home. Good Luck!
Thanksgiving [2008-11-29]
1939 to 1940
Abraham Lincoln href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt>Franklin D. Roosevelt broke with this tradition. November had five Thursdays that year, and Roosevelt declared the fourth Thursday as Thanksgiving rather than the fifth one. In 1940, in which November had four Thursdays, he declared the third one as Thanksgiving. Although many popular histories state otherwise, he made clear that his plan was to establish it on the next-to-last Thursday in the month instead of the last one. With the country still in the midst of The Great Depression, Roosevelt thought an earlier Thanksgiving would give merchants a longer period to sell goods before Christmas. Increasing profits and spending during this period, Roosevelt hoped, would help bring the country out of the Depression. At the time, advertising goods for Christmas before Thanksgiving was considered inappropriate.

I felt bad because none of the friends or extended family that she invited showed up. They all called to cancel.
We did not have leftover Turkey but plenty of desert and rolls. She bought 45 dinner rolls?! I think some of you are right that this is the beginning of sundowning for them. I will have to explain this to my husband because he just thinks they are losing their minds. I heard from another family member that MIL has a stash of a case candy bars in her closet and yesterday she went in the bedroom for cookie sheets to put the biscuits on. A little odd, especially being that they have extra storage area in the basement.
I think FIL took it as it was just that much less food that cost him money because he was so happy that I brought as much food as I did and kept saying how much he loved the veggie tray, etc. I think MIL was a little miffed when I got there because she didnstay the heck out of my kitchen and keep your opinion to your self and afterwards he gets the look of You have always been my favorite child, thank you LOL But I understand things are different with moms and their own kids versus the spouse, especially with females.
So overall it turned out well and everyone had plenty to eat. We didn't have to run out for burgers or home for dinner.
Don't give up! [2008-11-26]
Iso easy, even a child can do it! I learned to sew before I even went to school! He even had some antique machines with foot pedals that we kids used to play with. I have all sorts of machines, from antique hand-crank Singers to cheap Wal-Mart plastic machines, and high-end Pfaff and Viking sewing machines and sergers.
Check out local sewing and fabric stores for classes. You can also try visiting Meetup.com, which is a really cool place to find all sorts of people who get together to pursue their interests. I don't know where you live, but I checked in my area, and there are several groups for beginning sewing listed. Maybe there are in yours, too.
With that said, I really have to tell you that Singer machines are not the best. Since the company was sold many, many years ago the quality has gone downhill. They are not built to last and have many parts that break very easily. In my experience, a simple mistake in threading some Singers will place a lot of tension on a weak part in the thread line. Something will snap or break, and once it's broken, you can't get the machine to feed thread properly as you sew.
Unfortunately, a really good machine can cost hundreds of dollars, and it's hard for a beginning sewer to make that sort of investment not knowing if it's something they'll be doing for a long while. I always recommend going to a store that deals in higher end machines. (Pfaff happens to be my favorite.) Then ask to try machines or take classes with their display machines. You learn basic sewing techniques and you learn what makes one machine better than another.
I suggest that if your machine is brand new, you return it for a refund. Take some sewing classes first, and try different machines. Then you can make a better, more informed purchase, which in turn, should result in successful and fun sewing!
I'm sorry. You probably didn't want to hear that, but I can't say that I'm a fan of Singer machines. Even if you get it to work, it's likely to fail not long down the road, which will only frustrate you. I'm willing to bet it's the machine and not you.
Wow! Was a nerve hit??? [2008-11-24]
I didnLeave it to Beaver. That's just not the case. By the end of the 1960s and into the 1970s the pendulum had started to swing so far toward women having careers that we were often belittled for choosing to be home with the children. Remember Hillary Clinton's cookie baking comment during her husband's first campaign? In fact, stay-at-home moms were the norm for only one brief period in our history right after WW II in the post war boom times. There was a pretty awful recession in the 1970s, and I remember gas rationing and long lines at the pumps. My mother had to work two jobs, and my father, who was in construction, was often one of the first to feel economic ups and downs in his paycheck. But we had dinner together every night at the kitchen table. Before the stay-at-home mothers of 1950's t.v. fame, most mothers worked. They had to. Only the very privileged stayed home and waited for Ward Cleaver to come home from the office. My grandmother, who lived to be 94, God bless her soul, was born in 1908. Her mother died during the great Spanish flu epidemic in 1918. My grandmother was the eldest of four children, and at the age of 10 she became the woman of the house. She stopped going to school so that she could cook and clean and took care of her father and siblings. And no one thought that was wrong. It was expected because there really weren't any government social services -- no welfare, no foster care. Eventually, when her father's depression over the loss of his wife became so great that he couldn't manage to bring home an income, people in the neighborhood just took over. The two eldest children went to live with other families. The two youngest went to an orphanage. My grandmother's father just drifted away and his children never saw him again. My grandmother married at age 20 and had four children during the depression. Talk about having it hard. When I was a young mother trying to make ends meet and I'd cry to my grandmother, she brought me around to reality. She told me what it was like for her to raise children during that time. Many a night she cried over whether or not she could even feed her children or if they would have a roof over their heads. And she wasn't alone. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, was in the same boat. The Great Depression was enormous. She and my grandfather worked wherever and whenever they could. They brought home a dollar or two at a time and fed their children buttermilk and potatoes. They didn't sleep, they worried all the time. Today, my grandmother's washboard hangs in my kitchen on the wall next to my dishwasher. It reminds me that I have no right to ever say that things are harder on us today. They aren't. Generally speaking, most Americans have so many more advantages, choices and opportunities than those who came before us. Yet many in my generation and the one or two generations behind me are just whiners and crybabies who don't think about the big picture. They even dare to say they have a harder time as parents today. Please. Not even close! Every generation seems to believe that, but just a short trip through a history book proves otherwise.
I'm not that very old. But I've raised my children and I raised them well. I know what it takes to do that. It takes self-discipline, sacrifice and consistency. And you know what? That's exhausting. Parents today are tired. So what? All parents are tired. Offer it up, as the old nuns used to say. The kids have homework an hour a night. So what? They should have homework, and parents should make sure that it gets done, because education is important. There are parent-teacher meetings to attend, coaches association meetings, scout meetings, dance lessons, school recitals, etc. etc. etc. So what? Balance it out, quit what can't be done, do what can. Work because you have to. The kids have to be fed. It's still easier than it was a generation ago, two generations ago, three and on and on. We're parents to young ones for only a short time. Which reminds me, let's not forget about birth control. Most of us have 2-point-whatever children these days. I'm the youngest of 7. Most of the families in my neighborhood when I was growing up had 4 or more children. Today women can choose to have as many or as few children as they want. That means that we parent for far fewer years than the generations before us. I'm done with day-to-day parenting after just 20 years, and in fact, it got much easier on my day-to-day schedule once my boys were in high school. But my mother had children at home for 34 years. Imagine the number of cloth diapers for 7 children for year after year after year. Yes. I had it far easier, and I know it. So when I was exhausted raising my two boys, I just sucked it up and kept at it.
The OP, I think, probably didn't want to be as blunt as I'm willing to be. She IS helping by babysitting her grandchildren while her children work. I'm sure she loves her children and grandkids, but I'm willing to bet that if she dared to say to her children the things I've posted, her children would react just as you did and she'd end up cut off from her family.
To the OP: I hope it helped to vent a little, and I want you to know that I understand.
Do you think cures are really hidden from us? [2008-11-22]
I used to think this was silly when people thought this, but as I've seen things happen in my own life and look around at our world, I think this could be true.
For example, I have used several products that are not FDA approved and they work better than most things my doctor's pills didn't cure.
I used a salve to cure my skin cancer when doctors didn't get it twice with surgery.
I used the itworkspaste to remove my moles, skin tags and warts.
I use sota instruments who bob beck recommended on youtube as the device of the future which fights all viruses and bacteria. I've seen it get rid of my moms bronchitis, my dogs paw infection, my sons mono, my flus, etc.
I asked the cancer salve people why this wasncause it and if the pharmaceuticals can't get money from it, then most likely you won't see it FDA approved unless you had millions of dollars.
And if the FDA cared so much about us, why in the world would we allow cigarettes to be legal? Think about it...the cigarettes keep you hooked, you get cancer, then go through the hoop of chemo. You become a great high paying customer.
What are your thoughts on it. And, have you ever used a product that is not FDA that you swear by? Please share...thank you!
Did people really wear poodle skirts [2008-11-22]
DD#2 is 6 and has joined Daisy scouts. They are having a sock hop in December. I was amazed at the number of Mom's who did not know what it was. I wasn't alive in that period either, but we still had them in high school, once a year for some reason.
So now I gotta find a poodle skirt. My Mom said she never saw a poodle skirt in the 50's. Did people really wear them? Did they wear those poofy slips under them? I am curious about that. Mom said most of the stuff you see on TV as being in the 50's was really the late 50/early 60 period.
I saw a ton of poodle skirts on ebay. I think I have seen those slips in stores, but can't remember where. Anybody seen them?
very well said [2008-11-16]
I totally agree. I have done this sort of thing, apologized after a long period of time. I heard back from each of the 2 people & they were grateful for it. They had not felt heard all those years ago & finally did. These were not people I was romantically involved with, so I did send an e-mail & heard back. I think your choice not to include your address was very appropriate. If the person wants to contact you, they can go to the trouble of looking you up. Nicely done.
Need some advice on an old friendship -- [2008-11-16]
I got divorced 7 years ago. Started out as a friendly divorce and then I started dating a man that my ex did not like (because he is black) and we quit speaking at all. Then, one of my very good friends started backing off from the friendship andI thought it was because I was openly dating a black man. Well, 4 months later, I heard that she was dating my exhusband. I called her and asked her about it and of course she denied it, could not believe I accused her of that, she would never do that to me..... on and onand on. To make a long story short, of course 2 months later I found out it was true, they had bee seeing each other for about 6 or 7 months.
Anyway, during that time period after I knew that they were together but before they broke up, I would call her occasionally if I needed information on my son (who lived with his dad and would not speak to me at that time becaue of brainwashing) and we stayed friendly on the phone, felt like old times, etc.
Then they broke up and now occasionally I get the urge to call her or she will call me for something, and it is like nothing ever happened. We laugh and cut up and it I have some thoughts though about when it really started, before we were even divorcing or during the divorce, and then sometimes I get really mad because she lied to me in the first place and let me keep trying to have a friendship, and then sometimes I miss her and think it does not matter because we were divorced and he was free and I definitely did not want him back.
My problem is what to do? Forgive her and forget her... forgive her and be friends again... ask her the questions I need answers to and then decide whether to be friends??? And the other big problem is my new husband gets very upset every time I even speak to her because she did thatto me when she was my friend and he says you never go behind friends to their love interests.
Advice please....
I agree with your new husband (sm) [2008-11-16]
When she lied to you in the beginning, that said it all. Especially to go so far as to not be able to believe you would accuse her of something like that. I would have to cut my losses and count myself as having one less friend. She stopped being your friend the day she chose to secretly see your husband.
I need some advice [2008-11-15]
Ok this is the story:
My husband is still friends with his first girlfriends family. This does not bother me. She did a couple of things to really disgrace her family when she was dating him but after a period of time he still kept in touch with them as we live in a very small community. When we met and got engaged they were all very kind to me and the mother even did the cake and flowers for our wedding. The ex is never around much so no big deal.
Well this past weekend her great grandmother passed. My husband had known this woman for sometime and the mother asked him to come to the funeral and told me I was not to feel like I shouldnI. To which the ex rolled her eyes and looked at her HUSBAND. So we walked away. To tell you the truth, we didn't really care.
Well we get a phone call about an hour ago from the exum we aren Well, knowing how immature the ex and her husband are, we knew they were behind this (plus we could hear them in the background). So my husband told the boy Look, it
Well a few minutes later he gets a text message from the brother saying my mom can (which obviously is not true since we saw her Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon and she was obviously not mental). So my husband sent back a message saying Look, whatever issues your sister has with me and your mom having an ADULT friendship, she needs to take those up with your mom, but quit trying to start drama.
Well a few minutes later the phone rings. My husband handed me the phone. Knowing how mad he was at the moment, I answered. It was the ex. She asked if she could talk to him, and I said No. This needs to stop right now, it She said well my mom is really going crazy and she can. She went on for about five minutes and I said fine, we won
I'm just so angry right now! I mean this is high school drama! What would you do? I know the mom will be absolutely heartbroken if my husband and I just stop coming to see her and talking to her (since her lovely daughter never comes home). I mean except for the funeral, we never go around if she is going to be there, and we don't sit there and talk bad about her or anything.
I honestly think she knows she screwed up by messing around on him SIX YEARS AGO and is just upset that he's married and happy and it sounds like her husband is a jerk.
They talked about this on The View for 2 days and [2008-11-14]
even to the point as to how they have sex and thatmake me sick, especially now that she/he is pregnant again and due in June! BW thinks she's doing the world a favor by doing this special report.
The reasonit keptits female parts was to have kids. What gets me is they never heard of adoption? Why not adopt? Because they wanted to make money, that's why.
I don't know how many times they pointed out that she is now a legal male on all records, SS#, birth (how'd they accomplish that?), marriage license, medical history, etc. If she/he is a legal male, she/he shouldn't have the reproductive organs. Period.
I feel sorryfor the kids. They will be so confused because they are going to tell them as soon as they to speak and/or understand.
This world is going to h---- in a handbasket.

My mom and dad divorced when I was one. I am almost 40 now. I won Once he had more kids, I was in the way. He was never there for me even as an adult. His wife (married again when I was 3) only wants to be involved in my life when she can stir up drama. I made the decision to finally cut them out of my life because it was beginning to affect me on a daily basis. I did confront both of them to a certain extent, not all that I wanted to say. But since his wife was stirring up drama with my 4 kids, momma bear came out and enough was enough. I still love my dad, but don't understand how he can be so blind about his wife.
Being that your parents are still together, I think you need to either sit him down without your mom and tell him how you feel and maybe he will then understand why you have been so hurt. If you feel you can
Just my 2 cents worth...I wish you the best of luck
My new favorite is Vidalia onion cornbread sm [2008-11-13]
Vidalia Onion Cornbread (from Paula Deen)
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1/2 stick butter
1 large Vidalia or other sweet onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup whole milk
1 cup sour cream
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese, divided
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dill weed (which I leave out)
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with vegetable oil cooking spray. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and saute the onion until tender, but not browned, for about 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add the muffin mix, egg, milk, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the cheese, the salt, and dill weed. Stir to combine. Pour into the prepared pan and top with the remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake for 30 minutes, until set and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cornbread comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
I double the recipe and bake it in a 9x13 or even 11x15 pan and it comes out great. And to keep the cheese from getting too dark, I add it the last 10 minutes instead of at the beginning. So yummy!
Second favorite is corn casserole, very similar to the onion cornbread.
Corn Casserole
1 pkg Jiffy corn muffin mix
8 oz sour cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg
1 can whole kernel corn (do not drain)
1 can cream-style corn
1stick of butter
Melt the butter in an 8x8 baking dish in a 400-degree oven. Meanwhile, mix the corn muffin mix, juice from whole kernel corn, egg, and sour cream until well mixed. Add remaining ingredients and pour into dish with butter. Stir slightly to mix in the butter. Bake 30-45 minutes or until set in the middle.
Again, I have doubled this recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan; however, donot double the butter or it is too greasy.

My husband lost his job 2-1/2 years ago due to an accident at work. He has been on WC ever since then and has brought home less than 200 weekly. I basically have been the sole support since then and yes, it has been VERY hard.
We lost almost everything and have just managed to start getting things back right and now this mess hits...
I am going to be down about $800 this pay period and was down $700 last pay period. Of course, we have no savings to fall back on - used it up long ago.
I found a part-time inhouse job that pays by the hour and am starting it as soon as the paperwork is all processed that should at least get the house payment paid, but don't know what we will do about everything else.
Thank you for answering me. I [2008-11-11]
had just read an article in the August Reader's Digest about a man being treated for throat cancer, stage IV. The name is The Farther Shore by Stephen Reynolds, in his 40's. There is an insert in the article that might interest you.
HPV and You
While few people with HPV get oral cancer, the number is likely to keep rising, says Maura Gillison, M.D., of Johns Hopkins. 20 million Americans are infected, with 6.2 million new cases each year. So far, there is no cure and just one test and only to detect HPV in a woman's cervix. Only a biopsy can tell whether an oral cancer is linked to HPV, but a test to spot high-risk oral infection in men and women and a vaccine for men are both in the works. What you need to know:
Most people with HPV infections don't have any symptoms. At least half of sexually active men and women may become infected in their lifetimes. About 23% of women ages 14 to 65 have high-risk HPV, including 35% of 14 to 19 year old girls.
Gardasil protects against up to 70% of the HPV types that cause cervical cancer, but it is unknown if the vaccine protects against oral infection in men or women.
While most infections clear up on their own without patients ever knowing they were exposed, the consequences can still be severe. For instance, one type of HPV raises the risk of oral cancer of 3,200 percent.
The virus speads through any form of sexual activity, and condoms can't fully protect against it. Having more than 5 oral sex partners boosts the risks of HPV linked oral cancer by 340 percent.
Sorry this was so long, but this is the most info I have seen on this and the numbers are, I think, staggering. I notice it does not address the vaccine in Australia you mentioned.
Who would be the best to ask [2008-11-03]
advice about money.I just received my credit score and it is less than 700. However, I paid $6 and received 1 credit score and read at another place I should have 3 after I did this. It did tell me why my score was so low, one was that I don I just paid off my mortgage and I thought that was a good thing. According that that, it is not. I thought maybe I should take out another mortgage against my house. I have a 10K cc bill that is at 28% and thought if I barrowed against my house, I would probably get a lower % and maybe that would help?? but.......another reason it saidwas that I had too many recent inquiries about my credit report. Well, if I borrowed against my house, thenanothercreditor would probably have to look up my report. Another one was that I was 30 days late paying on something too recently and that I had opened and closed an account in too short of a period of time in 2005.
Anyway, my 401K guy is always full of good advice and so is HNeither menever seem to want payment for their good advice as of yet anyway. I just wondered if these are the people I should ask OR is there something better out there. Another problem we are faceing is that our checking account seems to always go under at least 1 a month. Everything is such a mess, I am trying to get it all straightened out. I don
Any tips on getting paint out of carpet? sm [2008-11-02]
My daughter had a party tonight with probably 10 kids here. One of the girls spilled a can of paint in the garage they were using for their haunted house and steppedall in it. Rather than staying outside until she got the paint off with the water hose, she tracked it all into my house! I am furious! Of course, she wasn She was playing and put my 16-yo I highly doubt she would go tracking through her home with paint on the bottom of her feet and she even came upstairs laughingsaying I stepped in that paint that we spilled. I said then what are you doing tracking it all through my house, get in the bathroom and wash it off! She is 12 years old and should know better.Kids these days are so disrespectful.........Any tried and true tips for getting paint out of carpet? Should I say something to her parents? This is the same child I almost sent home earlier today because she slapped my 9-yo son and I did call her mom about that and informed her of what happened and if I had any more incidences out of her she was going home. Hitting is not allowed in my house period! Geez, can I say this child will not be a vistor at my house anymore!
