67 Firebird is my dream car sm [2008-11-18]
Very similar to the Camaro. My dad had a 67 Firebird when I was younger and sold it when I was about 13 so my brother and I wouldn't be able to fight over it when we could drive. It got wrecked about 2 years later

Have you heard about the pregnant man? [2008-11-13]
I was just watching The View. The man (woman) who was pregnant last year, is pregnant again?

A mother's dream! My children are young so (sm) [2008-10-29]

Ohhhhh....Pregnant! [2008-10-22]
When I was pregnant that was the only time I experienced Charlie Horses! I would get leg cramps so bad at night it would literally jolt me out of a sound sleep! I wonder if it also has something to do with the pressure the baby is putting on the pelvic area and somehow affecting the blood flow to the legs, in which case, supplements aren't going to help?

Hi!

Oregon man says he's pregnant [2008-03-27]
Thomas Beatie, who used to be a woman, appeared in the most recent issue of The Advocate, a magazine for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender readers, Portland, Ore., television station KPTV reported. Beatie wrote the article, which includes a picture of him while he was 22 weeks pregnant. According to the story, he went through a sex change, but decided only to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy. Beatie was able to keep the reproductive organs he was born with. The article said he stopped getting the injections and was able to get pregnant. Beatie, who lives in Bend, wrote he was once pregnant with triplets, but the pregnancy was life-threatening and he lost the fetuses. Now, Beatie said he and his wife, Nancy, are expecting a little girl in July. In the article, Beatie described some of the challenges he and his wife have faced -- they said doctors wonsparks legal, political and social unknowns. The couple were out of town Monday and unable to speak with the station. VIDEO LINK BELOW:

Hollywood always seems to celebrate single women being pregnant [2007-12-19]
I am just wondering how they are going to react to Britney's with her 16 year old self and being unmarried and pregnant. Gosh, Britney is going to have to think of something to override that and get her share of more attention.

I celebrate being single and when I'm pregnant. [2007-12-19]
I'm not 16, however. Her sister is young and made a mistake. I'm not going to judge her ability to parent based on what Britney has done.

hey i heard that brittany was pregnant? what gives... is she or not? [2007-12-19]

Her 16 year old sister Jamie Lynn is pregnant [2007-12-19]
If you look farther down the Gab Board, there's two separate threads.

It's her 16 y/o sister who is pregnant, not her. [2007-12-19]
Unbelievable.

Ever wonder why pregnant women don't [2007-12-13]
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Scientists think they have figured out why pregnant women donSlight differences in the spine allow women to carry the growing load of pregnancy without toppling over. Evolution provided slight differences from men in women's lower backs and hip joints, allowing them to adjust their center of gravity, new research shows. This elegant engineering is seen only in female humans and our immediate ancestors who walked on two feet, but not in chimps and apes, according to a study published in Thursday's journal Nature. That said Liza Shapiro, an anthropology professor at the University of Texas and the only one of the studyYou experience discomfort. Maybe it would be a lot worse if (the design changes) were not there. Harvard anthropology researcher Katherine Whitcomb found two physical differences in male and female backs that until now had gone unnoticed: One lower lumbar vertebra is wedged-shaped in women and more square in men; and a key hip joint is 14 percent larger in women than men when body size is taken into account. The researchers did engineering tests that show how those slight changes allow women to carry the additional and growing load without toppling over -- and typically without disabling back pain. When you think about it, women make it look so very easy, Whitcomb said. They are experiencing a pretty impressive challenge. Evolution has tinkered ... to the point where they can deal with the challenge. It she said. A little bit of tinkering can have a profound effect. Walking on two feet separates humans from most other animals. And while anthropologists still debate the evolutionary benefit of walking on two feet, there are notable costs, such as pain for pregnant females. Animals on all fours can better handle the extra belly weight. The back changes appear to have evolved to overcome the cost of walking on two feet, said Harvard anthropology professor Daniel Lieberman. When the researchers looked back at fossil records of human ancestors, including the oldest spines that go back 2 million years to our predecessor, Australopithecus, they found a male without the lower-back changes and a female with them. But what about men with stomachs the size of babies or bigger? What keeps them from toppling over? Their back muscles are used to compensate, but that probably means more back pain, theorized Shapiro, who added: It would be a fun study to do to look at men with beer bellies to see if they shift their loads.

Has anyone ever been pregnant and had a CT angiogram done? sm [2007-11-30]
I have a previous history of PE and thought I had another blood clot to my lung. So after a night stay in the hospital, several doctors telling me that I really needed this done, that it could be possibly life-threatening for me and the baby, that I went against my better judgment and had one done with the contrast dye. I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and I know this is a very critical time for the development of my little one. Good news, no blood clot, but I am wishing I would have listened to my own heart and not what everyone else was telling me. They did shield me extremely well. I laid on one lead shield while two huge, thick lead shields were placed directly below my lungs on top of each other. Any input would be helpful and any prayers would greatly be appreciated also. The day before I saw my beautiful baby kicking and acting fiesty on ultrasound. It would kill me knowing that I did something wrong to it.

She is pregnant again. [2007-11-06]
A savvy female lead my son to believe he could come live with her, and everthing would be paradise. This was when he was 17-years-old. She was pregnant at that time with someone He did not care. He loved her as much as a 17-year old can love. OK fast forward. Now he is just 22. He has had 2 beautiful daughters in the meantime. I think that is enough. Neither one of them are working. I go ever there today on my day off, and he says, mom there is no easy way to tell you this. She is PREGNANT again. Supposedly she had an IUD, I don Either they are both lying or my son is gullible. They both claim she had a 10-year IUD in so it is mean to be. If they had the finances to support 4 kids, great news. But they don I am spending at least 250 a month keeping their utilities on, that does not count food.

I have had the same dream [2007-11-06]
about teeth falling out. It is said that underlyling stress/anxiety can cause this, and also fears about personal appearance (think I remember something about money too). It's interesting to read about possible meanings of dreams. Of course, they say too that sometimes it just means it

People can get pregnant on an IUD. I have two relatives who did. [2007-11-06]
You have to wonder why she hasn't had her tubes tied, and why he hasn't had a vasectomy and gotten a full-time job since he's perfectly able-bodied. At least if they're living off the dole, one or both should be going to college on grants to eventually be able to support four kids.

Recurring bathroom dream & ex dream [2007-11-06]
I have a recurring dream about having to go in a public bathroom and not only can everybody see me, but I am barefoot, wearing bell-bottoms and the floor is always wet. Yuck! I also have recurring dreams about being back with my abusive ex and trying to get me and the kids away from him. We have been divorced 22 years, but I have these dreams frequently!

I think you are right. [2008-11-20]
I have had most of the day to think things over and cry. I did talk to him a bit and realize that it is mostly his pride (man-ness) that is the problem. I just have to stand my ground and not feel guilty for it, although I will anyway...I think that is just the female (or pregnant hormonal lol) way with feelings, etc. I have also been thinking today that even though things are getting really tough, we have been able to pay our bills so far. It's really going to suck with the holidays especially but it will be past in a couple months and life will resume as normal. Who knows where we will be by then but for now things could be much worse. Even with all the headaches, stress, tears, etc. it could be much worse if we lost a job or...well I don't even want to think about the other horrible things that people go through. Thanks for your support and understanding. Some times women just need to know that they aren't alone in their struggles.

YEAH baby!! Me too. sm [2008-11-18]
About 10 years ago I bought a Honda HX with prototype gas-efficient trannie, light wheels, no frills. That puppy would still be with me if not for the prototype trannie pretty much fizzled on most of the HXs but I milked mine for as long as possible. Ex had a Prelude, same year (99). He loved the car and took great care of it. Gas was killing him though (uses it to drive and travels a bit). He wanted to keep it in the family so he sold it to me. I drive about 5000 miles a year, if that. Amost 300,000 miles on that one and what a dream it is!!! He bought a new Civic. Another SWEET car. My son has a 1990 Accord, bought it used with less than 100,000 miles about 3 years ago. We've put some money into it, mostly cosmetic and just catching stuff up, but it runs like new. My Civic was actually built in US, so I didn't feel too guilty, but how many years have US automakers had to see the writing on the wall? I'm sorry, but I like keeping a car forever. No car payments are great. Honda fits that mold.

My DH drives a Chevy Malibu Maxx... [2008-11-17]
I have a 2005 Buick LeSabre and we also have an older Ford Explorer that DH kept to use for hauling stuff..... I've never had anything but an American made car........... LOL, I'm not exactly a car salesperson's dream customer........ I keep my cars forever...... 1972 Plymouth Duster 1984 Buick Skyhawk 1996 Buick Century 2005 Buick Skyhawk.......... only 4 cars in over 30 years......

My first car was a 1967 red Camaro [2008-11-17]
now a classic, got up to 86,000 miles only replacing the water pump, then my husband wrecked it. I am still mad at him for that one. I now have a 1995 3/4 ton chevy truck, paid for, have 166,000 miles on it, been a very good vehicle - thank you all GM workers. It tows and pull horses like a dream, don't even know anything is back there. Hate cars now.

Congratulations Kendra! [2008-11-14]
Assuming from your post you are pregnant too. That's wonderful! :) I'm pregnant and there's a lot I would tell people for the money too. Can't say I blame he/she...I blame the people who buy the magazines and watch the TV interviews. I don't support it one bit. No different than any other woman getting IVF.

Barbara Walters [2008-11-14]
I think Barbara Walters lost it! She is so obsessed with this woman turned pregnant fatherstory, it is ridiculous. What is so 'mysterious' about it? It was a woman, who wished she were a man, got rid of her breasts, took testosterone which caused her masculine features and beard etc....andBW thinks this is all a She will even talk about it and interview this freakish creature today in 20/20. I think BW should finally call it quits. These 2 people only want to make money out of this.

Not really that amazing, is it? [2008-11-14]
I wondered the same thing - is this the most interesting thing they could come up with? I mean, when I first saw the pictures of what looked like a man with a big pregnant belly, it kind of struck me, but once you know the story, it's nothing, really. How can they make a whole show about this? There HAS to be a better story out there somewhere. Almost anything would be more interesting than this. *YAWN*

Alternative Christmas celebration and [2008-11-14]
Does anyone here NOT celebrate the traditional Christmas with their kids...specifically I am referring to the Santa portion. I am thinking about doing this with our second child (currently pregnant). Our first child is now old enough to know the truths and it is kind of a relief to be honest. I have tried and tried to stress the importance of family and the true meaning over Santa but its really hard. Recently I have just been thinking that may be next time it would be easier all the way around to not follow that but wonder how it would work with school, people asking, etc.

They talked about this on The View for 2 days and [2008-11-14]
even to the point as to how they have sex and thatmake me sick, especially now that she/he is pregnant again and due in June! BW thinks she's doing the world a favor by doing this special report. The reasonit keptits female parts was to have kids. What gets me is they never heard of adoption? Why not adopt? Because they wanted to make money, that's why. I don't know how many times they pointed out that she is now a legal male on all records, SS#, birth (how'd they accomplish that?), marriage license, medical history, etc. If she/he is a legal male, she/he shouldn't have the reproductive organs. Period. I feel sorryfor the kids. They will be so confused because they are going to tell them as soon as they to speak and/or understand. This world is going to h---- in a handbasket.

The headlines keep saying "pregnant man" [2008-11-14]
but they really should just say pregnant bearded lady. Men can

Have you heard about the pregnant man? [2008-11-13]
I was just watching The View. The man (woman) who was pregnant last year, is pregnant again?

This story is so weird to me, I can only wonder... [2008-11-13]
I watched 'The View' today. How did this man get pregnant? This is a puzzle to me. And how come that his wife, who had an hysterectomy is BREASTFEEDING the baby? How did her body produce milk? Isn't it that one must be pregnant before producing milk? t is all a hormone thing. This is all so weird to me, downright scary and I do not like it a bit.

That explains it somehow, but still weird..sm [2008-11-13]
What is a puzzle to me is how this man/woman got pregnant? This is only possible if he/she has still the female organs and he/she is artificially inseminated. They mentioned only 1 operation, the removal of her breasts. It is also weird to me that Barbara Walters is so interested and fascinated by this story. I used to admire her a lot, but lately not so much. But for being over 70 she looks really still great, lately not so much, though. The whole story is 'mocking' God, I do not like it at all. They will tell the child: 'Your father had you! The poor child.

I just wish they would stop saying a "man" sm [2008-11-13]
was pregnant. I mean, come on, the person was born a woman and female internal organs or else this wouldn't be possible. If they did a DNA test, it would show XX not XY. To me, this is no different than lesbian couples doing artificial insemination or IVF. It's only getting publicity because one of them has had surgery to appear male and lives as a male.

they smell chemical changes... [2008-11-13]
my friend had kept a retreiver that wandered up and when my friend got pregnant, Fancy would not part from her side until after the baby was born. My neighbor had trouble with her son and his friends. Somehow, the bull got loose and was kept for 2 to 3 days in the front yard (we he would not let any of the potheads in. Anybody doing drugs was greeted with earflapping and then a charge!

First congratulations and second [2008-11-13]
from what I could tell from the part of the interview that they showed, she stopped the surgery. Now, I'm not sure if she did it because she was pregnant again or if she's going to restart the process.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! [2008-11-13]
I have done most of that already. We don't have a fancy house or cars. Have cut back on all our driving and I have always stocked up on food but that is becoming more and more difficult. Guess at this point we'll just have to go with the flow and see what happens. I'm pregnant so a holiday job really doesn't make much sense for me, besides we live in the boonies and there isn't much available without a 45 minute drive each way. Hubs seems to have a good job and they are reassuring their employees but its still hard. Seems like no one is out of the path of destruction any more. Thinking of holidays and extra expenses does not help either. Maybe should think of tax season right around the corner. Atleast that is a little back to the rainy day savings.

Not mandatory because it is for girls, at this point sm [2008-11-12]
I have wondered for some while if there is not a connection between HPV and prostate cancer. Given that males are infected at the same rates as females (with HPV), it should be given to boys too...who give it to us! Now, if there is ever a proven link between prostate CA and HPV, you will see it be mandatory so fast it will make your head swim. All you have to do it look at the procedures that are done for HPV infections of the cervix. I do them all the time. Girls at 16, 17, 18 in for their 2nd and 3rd conization of the cervix. The first one may cause an incompetent cervix, the 2nd one sure will and after a 3rd you won't carry a child to term. Did you know that a standard conization procedure removes the ENTIRE transformation zone and about 1/3 of the surface of the cervix? It does... The reason it is treated so aggressively is the extremely high rate of recurrence. Vaccinate your daughter, do it now, do not pass GO and collect $200. Just so you know, I see more HPV in the under 20 group, but there are plenty of married women in their early 20s with it and trying to get pregnant who have cone after cone.

Have you ever seen a picture of Celine Dion's son? [2008-11-07]
Celine and husband Rene Angelil are spotted with son Rene-Charles in Paris last May. (©Reuters) Celine Dion is holding open a small window of hope that she will be able to have a second child with husband René Angélil. I would love to be blessed again, the chanteuse, 40, told Oprah this week. Hopefully we are pregnant and are parents again. I remember sometime last year when we were getting Rolling Stone magazine we got an issue with them all over the cover and a huge article inside, certainly coinciding with the release of It Won't Be Soon Before Long. I didn't know who they were then and let the magazine be thrown out. I could kick myself! haha. A Meet and Greet?? Oh what a dream come true that would be!

I have no problem with it [2008-10-26]
I eat candy and I drink soda and I use birth control (although, not nearly enough as I am pregnant right now), but if a store chooses not to sell these things, I can always go somewhere else to spend my money. We don't force grocery stores to carry anything specific--why should a drug store be any different. There will always be someone willing to take your money!

Yep, tried that. [2008-10-21]
I have been eating a banana every day and drinking orange juice too. Even had orange juice last night right before bed and still got a Charlie Horse. I am pregnant so my doctor would rather I stay away from supplements other than my prenatals but I will discuss with him further at my next appointment if this continues. They are so bad my leg still hurts the next day. I'm in the 2nd trimester and reading that it gets worse in the 3rd!

Actually, she never talked about it... [2008-10-20]
she always changed the subject when somebody asked her..guess she didn't feel it was anyone's business...good for her though...I heard she wanted to get pregnant so makes since that she would want to get married first.
