spoon theory [2008-04-23]
someone sent me a link to the spoon theory right after I was diagnosed, and I have sent it to many others since then. It truly is a good way to represent how we feel to people.Even my stbx doesnt get it. He has taken no role in trying to learn about MS or anything else, which is probably why itmakes it so much easier for him to walk away. Anyway, thanks for the support, as I am sure you know, we all need it. I hope you are well. I have a coup9le of friends using Provigil and they love it too! I actually have an appointment with my neuro today, maybe I will ask for it! Although I am sure my insurance won Oh wel, thats what we pay themthe big bucks for right?
I don't have MS, but I wanted. . sm [2008-04-23]
to say how sorry I am for what you must be going through! I don't have MS, but I have chronic fatigue and/or FM. I have been taking Provigil, and it has changed my life. It gives me the energy I need just to get through the day. It is very expensive though. This year our insurance will cover half of it (Thank goodness!).
I don't know of any chair that helps with nerve or muscle pain. I just make sure that my work area is set up so that I don't have to do long reaching (i.e. for heavy books)and I take breaks when I can and stretch. I have my monitor set up on about 4 books so that it is right in front of my face so that I don't have to bend my neck at all to look at the monitor.
Have you ever read the Spoons Theory? If you haven't read it, it is very interesting! I don't know how to make a link, but if you just Google it, it is easy to find.
Good luck to you and your kids!

I take that supplement 3x a day [2008-02-21]
and they have a small spoon, I use 2 of those x3. I have had some more pain for a couple of days about 2 days ago but on the whole, nothing like I have been having and so will continue. Anything that might possibly work I will try.
Lupus/Imuran [2008-02-08]
Imuran is an immunosuppressant, used in organ transplants also. Itsuppresses you white blood cells as thetheory is that when suppressing/killing white blood cells, Imuran will also suppress and hopefully kill the lupus cell, which is a white blood cell that has gone wrong and turned against the good healthy white blood cells. Thelupus white blood cell, hence, takes over the healthy white blood cells. It destroysthe good white blood cell and becomes a black dot in the center of the white blood cell and then the lupus white blood cells attack the organs andtreats them as foreign material. So, Imuran suppresses the white blood cell from attackingthe personThe sore throat could be caused by it, as it makes your immune system lower so you are moresusceptible to colds.
