I always had a flat tummy, even at the age of 45 (2 years after ablation, but then it swelled when the pain started). I was in a size 10 (I'm 5Ǝ"). Two years later when the pain started (which turned out to be hormones), my belly started swelling. This was one reason everyone thought it was GI related...they thought my bowels were swelling. I had told you I have since dropped one dress size, but if I could just lose a couple inches in my waist line/tummy, I could go down another size. It isn't going to happen until I start exercising again, though. I can't stand that I have a pannus (ugh!!!) I'm also having problems now with aspiration and reflux because my stomach is pushing up into my thorax.
