I have tried over-the-counter sleep meds...they still make me drowsy the next day and I hate that. I will not take prescription sleep meds...too addicting and also what my ex used to take his own life...I stay far away from that. I have tried melatonin and that helps, but it seems to not be as effective if you use it often. Enough alcohol will knock you out for a while, but then you have that *hung over* feeling the next day, even with a couple of drinks. I won't take the hormonal replacement either, particularly prempro, as I will not put horse urine in my system. If the good lord wanted it there, he would have put it there.

finally, I came across a tea while I was searching for certain music one day and I ordered it. It is called Cloud Walking Tea by Nuwati Herbals. It contains Lavender, passion flower, Valerian root, Catnip, chamomile, hops, lemon balm, rosemary, and skullcap. It works. I drink a cup about a half hour before wanting to sleep and even though it does not feel like it is making me sleepy, I soon drift off and sleep restfully for a good eight hours. It states it *relaxes the mind and body*. I also find I can sleep well for several nights after that without having to drink more. If you are interested, email me and I will supply the email address.
