I too have been questioning this-sm

In Reply to: Fluctuance? - Aaron

I actually just researched this last night and found that the actual term is flocculence (at least when pertaining to a wound); however, many doctors mispronounce this and say fluctuance.  In fact, this happens so often that fluctuance, even though not an actual word, is beginning to become an acceptable term.  My advice would be to listen carefully and use which ever one it sounds like.

P.S. found this by googling fluctuance and stumbled across some old MT Daily message board posts.

If you are okay with it, why questioning it
If your account does not question it, and you are okay with it, do not understand why you question it -- unless you need validation or want to brag what you get paid.  Someone could easily underbid you at that price and still make a good living but if the clinic is happy with your work -- don't see why you are questioning it.
I'm not sure why you are questioning this. sm
There are quite a few doctors who are Christian who will pray with/for the patient if they desire. It is considered part of their care. What are you saying, NO WAY about?
Questioning what?
I still don't understand what she is questioning? What is the problem here? The doctor chose to pray with the patient and transcribed it as such so why is her "gut" saying NO?
QUESTIONING OFFEX (L)
There is an Offlex circuit that is used for ultrasonography??
No, the OP was just questioning report she did.
aa
questioning decision...

Can any of you that have been at this for a long period of time answer me this question?  When you first started out...did you feel overwhelmed?  How long does it take a person to really see if this is something they'll be good at?  I find myself getting headaches really easy and only after a few hours of typing.  I feel fatigued.  Is it normal to feel this way in the beginning and what suggestions do you have to help?  When do you feel that things are finally settling down and you start to move along at a normal pace? I'll give it a few months I guess...I'd think at that point I would have a pretty good idea if this is something I'm going to be productive at or not.

Sorry for all the questions.....I guess I am feeling uneasy and was hoping for some reassurance or words of wisdom from none other than another MT.

No, what is unprofessional is not questioning...
something you are unsure about.
I don't understand your questioning it. sm
All QA have to start as MTs. QA are not born with those skills!

It makes perfect sense to hire QA from within a company's own MT ranks. The MTs are already familiar with the work, the platform, the company policies and guidelines. Their work has already been proven and evaluated. They just need some training for the specifics of the QA function.

BTW, being a QA is no different than doing voice recognition editing. Same thing.

I can understand that line of questioning then.
I'm happy with what I am getting so I'll leave the "answers" to those who are unhappy!

While you're questioning qualifications for govt' office
How about Nagin, who had no updated disaster plan in place and blamed the federal government for his lack of expertise and experience?

How about Blanco who was told by none other than the Bush administration to start evacuation proceedings days before she ever did?

Tunnel vision, anyone?
OOps! I was questioning HILLARY's morals and motives!
and if she was a redneck or poor or uneducated we'd all sit here and diss her for being stupid. Honest, look back at some of the messages we've given to women, married to jerks! So for her to stay married to the guy tells her her ambition trumps her morals, hands down.
Ridiculous. It's not a medication or a procedure she's questioning. This is a moral issue.
She is way out of line to question transcribing that. You're comparing apples to oranges.
I no longer work for a company just for that exact reason...had me questioning everything I typed.
