Turn-Around Time

• Time available or needed to effect a turnaround.

Medical Transcription: Total time taken by a Transcription Service to process the dictation and returning back of print ready documents/reports back to the client.

Considerations: 

Turnaround times depend on the audio classification of the material submitted for transcription.

All turnaround times listed are in 'business' days. Weekend and Holidays do not count towards the turnaround time.

Turnaround times are counted from after the day of receiving files. Thus if a transcription type has a 2 day turnaround and you have received your tapes on Monday, client should not expect to see your transcripts until late Wednesday afternoon or early Thursday morning.

Different specialties have different turn around time, depending upon the type, amount, dictators (e.g. ESL, Bilingual and QA for a particular facility.
