Cents Per Line - Amount a service pays an MT or QA Editor as well as their clients. 

The line can be defined many different ways, by the word, by the character, with spaces, without spaces.  The line may be paid or billed on a 55 character line, 65 character line, even 80 character line. 

The MT or QA Editor should be aware not only of what the cents per line rate is, but understand the dynamics of how the line is defined. 

For example, a company that pays out 8 cents per line based on a 65 character line NOT including spaces is in reality only actually paying 5 to 6 cents per line based on the same line INCLUDING spaces.
