I also went to TRSi and left after about 6 months. All kinds of promises that you would get a job with them (actually the contract I signed said you were guaranteed a job with them). I am now a student at Medline School of Medical Transcription. They are approved by AHDI, have paid internships, and is accredited by the Texas Workforce Commission.

I find Medline to be a GREAT school. I can reach my instructor, who is a CMT and AHDI-F) any time of day or evening), even on her cell phone.

Medline is good too (sm)
they also have PAID internships for qualified students at the end of the course. DON'T go to TRSI. I went there and it was a total waste of money. They ignore emails, they only help a select few they "like" and it wasn't worth it. See if Medline can help--their price is lower than MTEC's also. Jeni
MedLine has paid internships
after going through their program and you are qualified to work on real dictation jobs because the school is owned by a med. trans. company. It is an excellent school, I am going to it, after wasting money on TRSI's school which was horrible. They called their advanced transcription "internship" which wasn't an internship at all, and no one answered my questions or helped me and I ended up leaving there knowing nothing. Anyway see if Medline can answer your questions.
