The timing of this is just too ironic, considering it's on the heels of Murtha's PLAN involving Iraq. It seems to be more of a response to an angry America than an actual plan.
It's really sad to be this skeptical, but unfortunately, I can't take anything involving Bush at face value, considering the numbers of lies the world has been fed from this administration. By extension, I have to be suspect of things said by Iraqui leaders, who may be spoon-fed what they're *allowed* to say in their new *democracy* (promoting, of course, freedom of speech)!

This just makes me want to cry.
What has our country become? I always knew that politicians were crooks, but for them to run our country into the ground just to line their own pockets.....it just absolutely disgusts me. All these politicians who received significant money from these companies......do you think they will suffer. No....it will be us who pay for all of this. Government as a whole has royally screwed us all with this.
This whole bail out thing has me so fuming mad I can't hardly see straight. I'm terrified that if we don't do it....we will collapse. I'm terrified that if we do it....it will only slow down but the collapse will still come...only later. I'm mad that they want to bail them out and screw the rest of us. I truly hope that there is another solution to this crisis other than a bail out.
I want the phuckers who deliberately screwed us through their own greed....I want them to pay for this. I want them to be held accountable. Instead, they lined their pockets, get bailed out, and it is the little people that lose out.
I am sick to death of hearing politicians getting on TV and blaming the other party when they themself received a substantial amount of money from these banks going under that are currently wanting bailed out. Stop playing the blame game and just come up with a plan that will benefit the tax payers and not just the big wigs who screwed us in the first place! Stop pointing fingers, grow up, and think of our country and not your own personal bank account.
If I see Obama point his finger at another person again instead of taking a good look in the mirror at himself.....I seriously will scream. See, the posting was supposed to be humorous. It made me laugh out loud, several times. I believe the biggest problem our world is facing right now is overpopulation. I would think even the Lord would recognize that. That said, I would also comment that this woman's genitals as well as her husband's are under their own personal control, not the Lord's.
My other thought is that it seems likely that you would ever really really get to know any of your children while they were growing up with that many kids. My boyfriend is from a family of 8 children and he and his brothers all agree that they were basically raised by their older sisters and had no real quality relationship with their mother until they were much older. I'm not saying that is automatically the case, but simply often turns out to be the case.

What about the homeowners who applied for these mortgages that they knew they couldn't afford? I hold them responsible. What about the banks who gave them the loan, knowing they could never repay it, but didn't care because they were just going to sell it? I hold them responsible. What about the CEOs who made millions on their severenace packages when they walked away from these failing companies? I hold them responsible. I don't care what party they are affiliated with. But the fact is, no one person is going to be held accountable. As a whole, the taxpayers will be made to be responsible.

I probably am a "lucky one" who makes more...
but not because of how much I make per line; that is on the low end. I am fast and I have the same doctors all the time, but my production is high. Fair enough, pay the union workers for the work they actually do, "by the line" so to speak. I am perfectly okay with that. I bet a lot of them either work a lot harder or make a lot less.

Some one please explain to me....you all blame Bush for 9/11 stating that there were warnings about planes, etc. Did they give a specific day? Which planes? So does the president take this information and land all planes and not allow air travel at all on that day? Do they evacuate all tall buildings and monuments just in case? Could 9/11 have been prevented? We all seem to know who to point the finger at but I'm sure dealing with terrorist and terrorists threats is a whole different ball game than us just sitting back and watching bad things happening and wanting to know why it wasn't stopped.
All I can say is that God forbid we have another terrorist attack, we will just have to wait and see how Obama handles it. I think it would be hard for any president to prevent some of these things, but that is just something we are going to have to see play out before we know the answer to it.

What a difference a day makes.
decrying the prospect of the UN Convention on the Rights of Children coming up with a plan to strip parents of their rights by endorsing such notions as no spank referendums, keeping teenagers off of death row, asserting that they should have the right to determine their own religious beliefs and havie a voice in decisions that affect them. I believe sam's prescribed remedy was to keep government out of our homes, if I am recalling correctly. I also recall her bitter pronouncement that such interference would usher in a socialist youth movement and destroy American life as we know it in the 21st century.
Fast forward 24 hours. Now it seems we suddenly need government to intervene and take over such parental responsibilities such oversight on what our children are accessing on the internet and keeping them from posing in porn films and photos.
I've raised my kids. Before, during and after that chapter in my life, I most definitely did not think that government belonged in my neighborhood library and wanted them to keep a healthy distance away from my internet. We have parental controls on our home computers and TVs. Keeping them off of public access computers just might encourage parents to actually accompany their children while in the library so they can execute THEIR OWN personal censorship of reading materials for their them and NOT for the rest of the library patrons or the general public. Also, I think it is the PARENTS' responsibility to keep their kids away from making porn films/photos...NOT that of David Ogden, Obama or, Congress...but THE PARENTS.
I am curious about something. How is it that the UN convention on the Rights of Children initiatives are a call to global socialism but government internet censorship and micromanagement of the porn industry are American as apple pie? Seems to me that this outrage over David Ogden's nomination is not founded in morality issues at all, but rather (surprise, surprise) grounded in whatever way the partisan winds are blowing in the moment.
