My pet peeve is
People picking and belittling someone because of how someone pronounces a word. DH & I are from different areas of the states. Out west we say words differently than they say them here in the east, and my friends in the south say things much differently and laugh at the way I prounce things. I don't care how she says certain words and for people to start picking this apart is just too silly, and for me points out they are not interested in the issues. But to say she didn't pronounce nuclear the way you pronouce it???
