Problem is...

...we don't know who is controlling at least $700 BILLION now because Wall Street refuses to disclose that information.  At the last minute, Bush made sure that the top executives still got their bonuses.  I think someone should check Bush's and Paulson's pockets.

With two oil men holding the two top posts in this country, one with connections to a company that is given what seems to be unlimited dollars in no-bid contracts would seem to control a lot of money.

The point of my post was to show just how much Cheney continues to earn from his Halliburton stock options that the other poster denied he had.

Before Bush, we had a thriving middle class in this country.  People could still get rich, but the middle class had a fighting chance, as well.  Bush's tax cuts for the richest of the rich has only made them richer.  That "trickle down" pipe is clogged with greed, and the middle class is diminishing more and more every day.

At least, Obama knows there is still a middle class that exists.  He acknowledges our existence and wants to make things better for us.  Bush only cared about the rich.  His actions proved it.  He didn't care about rebuilding New Orleans.  He didn't care about crumbling bridges or damage from wildfires, tornadoes, etc.  He thought the economy was fine.  I remember at one point he was surprised at the cost of a gallon of gasoline.

The most important among us (IMHO), the troops, received perhaps the worst treatment from his administration through Cheney's connections with Halliburton and their subsidiaries.  Cheney's Halliburton stock rose more than THREE THOUSAND PERCENT in 2005, as our soldiers were electrocuted in showers and receiving poisoned food and water.  And these are just the things they're making public.

I just think our troops deserve much, MUCH better in return for putting their lives on the lines.

You're right.  Those who hold the money supply hold everything.  Who's holding more than a TRILLION of it right now in this "secret" Wall Street bailout "plan?"

Nobody can seem to find out.
