Will be interesting. I'm sure we'll know soon enough if this story is true.

This is all internet talk. On one has said this in public where...sm
he would need to address it. It is all just speculative talk by people trying to scare you into voting for McCain. None of it is true. Beware of the sources you get your information from. In other words, believe none of what you read and only half of what you see. When you are sure your sources are credible, then make your decision.
Befoire you sic the typo police on me, make that

ROFL...don't make me call the spelling bee police....nm

How do you know? Are you psychic? Can you make prophecies...how can you talk like this,
nmalmost making threats!
How can you possibly know that?!

I am amazed by your psychic abilites!  No one thought Bush would take us down like a rock and how quickly it could be done!

Quite possibly. But I am sure there would be one...
who could perform just as well who does not have a commercial stake in the outcome of the election.
Possibly s/m
He went over to the "dark side" whatever that means because he uses his head for something besides a hat rack.  Did you happen to notice that he donated the maximum of $2300 to the McCain campaign in the beginning?  Personally I have great respect for Colin Powell and would have voted for him if he were running for the office.  You die hard republicans need to get over yourself and wake up and smell the coffee.  McCain/Palin are NOT good for America.
Possibly
but I have a feeling if this guy is out mugging people he may just be unintelligent enough to think a backwards B is correct...plus I'm sure if he was on drugs or something he wasn't to concerned about being alphabetically correct.

or possibly
(not saying he is, just an idea) if he is a radical muslim (let us remember not all muslims are radicals!) he was planted in the church for 20 years so everyone would argue that he is a Christian.

Just my conspiracy theory for you :)

I don't know if he is or if he isn't. All I do know is most Christians don't mock the Bible, and if you check out the video on the faith board he does just that. If he had made fun of the Koran or any other religion like that he would have been in BBBIIIGGGG trouble! But it's not hate if it's against Christians!

Just possibly...........
studying pig poop is not such a bad idea when you consider what the methane gas will do to this world once the permafrost melts (which is ongoing) and releases enough methane gas to destroy our planet........scribble it all down to a few sound bytes and it all sounds ridiculous. Keep beating your drum, it served you well in the past election. And who gives a rats about Rush......except maybe you since he is the unofficial leader of the pub party.

Oh please....how sexist can you possibly be???
She governed when she was pregnant with the child and she was back at work soon after. If you had watched her speech, you see she has a wonderful support system in her husband and her older daughter. Are you really saying a woman is incapable of taking care of her family and running the country and a man is? Simply by virtue of their sex?

Alaska is not a small state. It is more than twice the size of Texas.

If McCain keeled over two days after they took office (God forbid!), we would still have a President with more experience in executive office than we will have Obama is elected on day 1.

That is simply the fact. He will need multiple advisors, she would need multiple advisors. There is nothing in his resume that says he is more qualified to lead, and govern, than she is.

And she is not running for the #1...he is.
You cannot possibly be that ignorant.....
Teenagers have been raising babies since the beginning of time. Only until the last few decades has it been scoffed at that a teenager should have a baby and NO, I don't encourage any young person to go that route before they finish school and hopefully go on to college or at least, find a spouse first and then have a child. In an ideal world, that is the route I would wish for them all.

But in Bristol's case, my point was, and you know it, that I doubt very seriously I will have to support her and her child. Do I want 12-even 17 year olds having babies? No, but I can GUARANTEE you because I see it in my community EVERYDAY, that if they are working to raise their own child and I mean truly out there WORKING and not sitting on their behinds letting me pay for their child, they more than likely will have learned a very valuable lesson in life about raising a child and will in all likelihood not be so fast to have another one.

But, when those teenagers who take no responsibility continue to have one child after another and they are ALL on the taxpayer's payroll, you better believe they have no business with a baby.

What business is it of yours if a teenager has a baby if you're not having to pay for it womb to whenever??

Strong, possibly. But was I saw most was

I could not possibly agree with you more
about rewarding laziness.  However, if you REALLY listen, that is NOT what Obama is proposing.  He is proposing to tax those with more wealth (seems fair to me) in order to take some of the burden off the middle class....which is probably you, I know it is ME.  Not a word have I  heard him speak about rewarding laziness.  I expect he worked pretty hard to get where he is so I can't imagine why he would want to give what he worked for himself to other people who are too lazy to put forth any effort.  Makes absolutely no sense to me.
And it couldn't possibly have anything to do...(sm)

with the fact that we've lost around 3 million jobs this year, and the rate of job losses is not slowing down?  Do yourself a favor.  When you get that check in the mail from the government that you so disagree with, why don't you just send it back with a note saying *Thanks, but no thanks.  I prefer to wait for the trickle.*  I'm sure you'll feel much better about yourself then.

I really find it hard to understand why people like yourself fight so hard against policies that would benefit you.  In case you haven't noticed, the stimulus plan he is proposing IS the middle class bailout.  How many times on this board did pubs say *where's my bailout* during the first bailout?  And now those same people are turning their noses up and trying to act like they are above it simply because a pub isn't the one who is trying to fix this mess.

It's not the economy that's killing this nation.  It's people like you who would rather divide the country than accept the reality that the other side might actually have a good idea.  Nixon would be so proud.

You cannot possibly watch FOX and say that.
nm
This is possibly the most disorganized
ramble I've ever read on this board.  I truly cannot figure out what you are trying to say.
Could you possibly be any more bitter and hateful? sm
I see your posts all over.  You just posted on the conservative board but didn't have the nerve to put your usual "gt" signature.  I have never seen someone so totally consumed with bitterness, rage and, well, just plain ugliness.
Oh, for Heaven's sakes.....you can't possibly
There are a LOT of good parents whose son/daughter couldn't control their hormones at age 17 and YOUNGER. When my children were teenagers, I couldn't follow them around all day and night. They heard me talk year after year about the consequences of having sex too early, even if they thought they had it under control. That's all I could do. I would ask where they would be, who with, and give them a time I expected them home or ELSE, but look sister, we all know things can get heated up very fast and it doesn't take but ONE time and a couple of minutes to get pregnant. I am relieved my daughter didn't find herself in that situation and I hope and pray my 20 something son won't either. He knows our feelings and we hope he acts responsibly.

Do you have children or teenagers and if so, do you follow them around all day, every minute of the day, even when you think they are where they say they are? I doubt it.

The young lady will have to deal with her decision and hopefully, her younger sisters will also learn from this.....don't go this route. That certainly doesn't mean I would give up on the mother. I do know good mothers whose daughters got pregnant and it did come as a shock, but I didn't automatically think, wow, what a terrible mother.
Possibly, but I certainly have not heard McCain
say one word reprimanding these people - which in essence says a lot.
No, but I am aware of possibly 1000s
of democrats being registered to vote who do not have the legal right to vote, people who don't even exist. Suppression, are you kidding?
What can he possibly hope to gain by
showcasing his own hypocrisy? This will not be the last time we will see obstructive partisan tactics from sore losers whose eyes stay trained on the next election cycle. These types strive to undermine any progress that can be made on behalf of the voters to further their own self-serving interests.

If there is no provision in election protocol to account for this specific circumstance, then the logical step would be to create one for next time, not to filibuster in an attempt to strip Minnesota voters of representation for some undetermined period of time. This is probably not the best of strategies for a party who lost 7 (and probably 8) senate seats, and will be sitting with 58 or 59 dems and 2 independents who have tendencies to lean toward the dems.

Being from Texas, I can tell you that sucking up will not come easy for John Cornyn, but I say let him show his true colors. He'll ultimately end up cutting off his nose to spite his own face.
She cannot possibly raise that child and utilize her master's, though,
Certainly you'd never encourage your daughter to spend time working on a MASTER'S while trying to also raise a child!! You've just bashed another mother for doing something similar, so I don't get it. Or is okay if you only have ONE child or what? Please fill me in on the double standard you uphold.

Public or Private?
This is a direct quote from the TOS, accessed through the above link provided by Goldbird: *All posted articles and replies are PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE on the Web*

...yet in one of the MQ threads, Goldbird stated this board was PRIVATE and financial discussions, real or speculative, were not allowed.

So is MTStars a PUBLIC board or a PRIVATE board? Choose one -- Can't be both at the same time.
It's like John Q. Public. Another way of saying...
average American.
Public Library
I read his papers at the public library. They are 10 years old at least.
I had thought that such information was not available to the public.
This is a privacy issue, and therefore an ethical issue.  If such personal information as ISP numbers are freely availale to other posters on this board I would no longer wish to post here. And if this is the case it needs to be posted.
Not according to what the public is saying out there...women are upset...sm
Palin is the complete opposite of Hillary being pro-Choice. Hillary voters are not voting for just any woman...go to other sites and read for yourself...

McCain's desperation is out in the open now and his judgement is in question.
Perhaps she would not have been forced into making it public...
had not the left gone to the blogs trying to claim that Trig was Bristol's and they were passing him off as her brother. To let that stand would do more damage to her daughter, don't you think?
OMG! (lol!) In the public school system,
Thanks for a good laugh!
This is a public board and any information that...sm
is posted here needs to be confirmed at nonpartisan sites. You need to be very savy on the internet, people can say they are Jesus and they are just the opposite. A 65 year old pedafile can pose as a 16 year old looking for a friend. You need to keep your wits about you and not believe everything that is posted on the internet.
Can you say violation of public trust?
Can you say hypocrite? Attack dog under fire. How sweet it is.

Give this a listen.
This public insurance is not free -
it will still have premiums attached to it - it will just be made available to more people.
All public figures are scrutinized, especially

presidents because they supposedly represent we, the people. It's not just O that is being scrutinized. Past presidents were too, along with movie stars, sports figures, you name it. If you have a big name, are in the public eye, you will have your life spread all over the media.

I think you give the public too much credit!
They won't even know about it until someone shows up at the door to take their kids to the "campus." The American public is too apathetic to act in their own best interests AND too easily fooled by pretty words.

One of the police chiefs
of one of the parishes in LA said that civilian water management people and civilian engineers etc. were being recruited to come there because the National Guard was overwhelmed in size and in capability. He said some had just come for 2 or 3 missions in Iraq or Afghanistan and were exhausted. I'm sorry I did not get his name. I will be more vigilant next time so if you want to tell someone they are alledging something that is untrue you'll get the right person.  I's just the messenger. Since I am not there I have no idea how many National Guard are there, on call, whatever, but I still believe they are needed here more than there.
The US is becoming a police state.sm
It is not full-fledged yet, but 95% there. There is a rush to incarcerate (1 in 136 Americans are in jails and prisons). National ID card by 2010, RFID chips, face scanners installed at high schools, those who disagree with government are called homegrown terrorists (another false flag) or traitors. It is very well known that both Bush presidents support the one world government (NWO). The USA no longer resembles the Constitutional Republic it is supposed to be. Land of the free is an illusion.
We are not world police
So Saddam was a bad person..so what..that means we are supposed to sacrifice our hard earned taxes to pay for a war in Iraq?  That means we are supposed to sacrifice our brave military to invade a nonthreatening country?  There are many places in this old tired world where people are being brutalized..It is not our responsibility to be the world police, it is not our place to save the world from itself.  If Iraq was a threat to America, that would have been a different story.   This invasion and control of a Middle Eastern country was thought up in the early 1990s by Cheney, Perle, Wolfowitz.  On the other hand, we are no better than Saddam now..We have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, destroyed an ancient country, we cant even give them full time electricity or fresh water or safe secure homes and jobs.  The war was wrong, the situation in Iraq is worse than when Saddam ruled.  Iraq was better off with Saddam in power.  However, keep trying to justify the war..It provides me a chuckle daily when I see the republican spinmeisters come up with a different reason for invasion almost daily. Bush says Iraq will be a comma in the history books..I disagree, Bush will be looked upon as a warmonger who got it so wrong, a failed presidency
Not our job to police the world...
Clinton - Kosovo. Clinton - Somalia. People died there too. If we had stayed in Somalia and nipped AL Qaeda in the bud there...if Clinton had accepted bin Laden from the Sudan...if, if, if. Have you read the Iraq Liberation bill? The idea for invading Iraq to topple saddam was born during Clinton's term...Bush did not invent it. All the same people who protest it now voted it into law. How would you expect anyone to take you seriously? It is never the liberal's fault. That is the one thread that remains true.

Yes, it is a matter of CHOICE. Why, though, is it only YOUR choice?

You danced around it, but it is very true...because there were some botched abortions in the 40's and 50's, we now have abortion on demand, our own genocide to the tune of 1.2 million a year, and somehow this is acceptable to you in the name of CHOICE. TO some of us, it isn't. You get choice, we don't. You need to change the name of your party, because it has little to do with democracy. If abortion was put to a vote of the people it would fail. Precisely why your party will not allow that to happen.

Because of this war we have ignited the fires of extremists and terrorists? Where were you for the first world trade center bombing? Where were you for Khobar Towers...the USS Cole, the african embassies? Somalia when your soliders bodies were dragged through the streets? They have been ignited for years, but were ignored for 8 of those years by Bill Clinton!

You enable abortion in the name of choice...you advocate it. If it went to ballot, you would vote for it. That is advocating it, no matter how you try to parse words.

Why is it easier to get incensed about war than about abortion? Do you think those infants want to be killed? Do they not have a right to life? Where is their choice?
I just read an independent study that says that only 20% of the public believe

or associate Democrats with christianity.  It's actually down and has been consistently going down.  Of course, I know a lot of Christian Democrats.  None of them seem to post here, but I know many in my private life. They are far to the right, though, like Democrats use to be

I figure I have been on the Public Enemy List...
for years. I started becoming very involved during the Viet Nam War, the civil rights movement, the ERA, all those things of the 70s. I have been arrested 3 times (and proud of it) for unlawful assembly, marching without a parade permit (someone was really fine combing there),  and sitting in at a government building. These were all en masse arrests but I am sure I have an FBI file. I also was active in AIM back in the day, American Indian Movement and now am involved with Free Leonard Peltier, so I know I am wired, tapped, followed, whatever it is they do to dissidents like me. I also was at a Friends Community House meeting here in Florida where protestors of the present debacle gather. One of these meetings was tapped; made national news.  I will go to Harry's site and sign anything they ask me to. I sign petitions all the time from MoveOn, Not In Our Name, Women in Black, Amnesty International...so I really don't care about that part. I used to think I would just wait until it is finally over, the Bush administration that is, but now I am beginning to think this world may not make it until November 2008.  A melt-down is coming, take your pick, global warming or nuclear warfare,  I tend to think the nuclear will be first. If we nuke Iran, the rest of all hell will break loose and America wil be responsible for too numerous to count deaths worldwide. If anyone thinks that guy in Iran and his compatriots will take that sitting down, they are as dumb as dirt.  We knew from the beginning that Iraq would turn out just exactly as it has, and Iran will do the same, only bigger and badder.  The times, they are a-changin'.
If the American public votes that into office, then

Our public education system, somewhat off topic.

I  have heard so much about our education system and I'm sure some of it is true.  However, I would like to relay a recent experience I had......

Living in a small community that is loaded with history, I and a couple of other "older" ladies hosted the local 4th and 5th grades on a field trip regarding the history of a couple of landmarks.......anyone interested can visit my website http://www.ozarkmountainmemories.com and read about them.

I was to do the historical presentation on the Cane Hill College Building.  My good friend was to do the presentation on the Old Mill.  Before I knew that there were 212 students plus teachers and parents, I opened my big mouth and said I would make cookies and Kool-Aid for the kid's field trip.  I ended up having a lot of help there!!!

Both my friend and I were very apprehensive about this field trip.  Well, I want to tell you that those were the best behaved kids I have seen in a long time.  This field trip was to prepare them to write an essay for the Arkansas Historical Society.  They were attentive and, asked very pertinent and intelligent questions.

One of the teachers called me yesterday and said that she was going to bring me some of the essays the kids had written.  She read one to me and it started out with "You may think the Cane Hill College is just a 2-story brick building...." and the student proceeded to write what  I would consider a very excellent essay.  I will post some of these on my website when I have them in hand.

I might also say that there were a good many parents present for the field trip.  I came away from that field trip with a whole different perspective on the local school, which is reputed to be one of the worst school districts in the state with the highest teen pregnancy rate.  I think if these 4th and 5th graders continue through high school with teachers such as I met and parents who are involved in their education, each and every one of them will be just A-okay.

maybe they knew and did not care that it was public information - nm
