Well, you don't have to be a large corp
My husband works for a company that would be considered a moderate size company. Nothing major. They employ good people and pay them well above minimum wage in order to retan good hard working people. And they also are self-insured, which means they self pay for their own insurance plan. It only takes one employee to come down with a catastrophic illness and that would be it for the insurance plan. My husband knows the details here and be rest assured, he knows with O's plan, they would be out of business with all the mandates and wonderful delusional thinking he has some believing. They don't have loop holes but they supply a major need in this community and several others and like I said, take good care of their workers, but that will not be the case if O gets in office. Everything will tumble down with all the mandates and socialist programs he has up his sleeve.

I am so so sorry about the large spaces between paragraphs
I tried to cut them out so it wouldn't come out like this.
Obama won by a very large margin... i f you sm
If you want to say not a landslide and that somehow makes you almost smile, oh well, sorry for you. OBAMA WON AND THE SMART PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM. ALL THE DUMMIES AND RACISTS WENT REPUB. EVEN DECENT REPUBS VOTED FOR HIM.
And if one wants to split a rather large hair....
Barry from Chicago must be a war monger too because he said we belonged in Afghanistan, has always said so, and has expanded our operations there. Soooo....I guess that makes him a war monger too? Or Iraq is the only war that counts in the war monger equation...?
I like number three
I like number three, blame Clinton..If in doubt..BLAME CLINTON, LOLOLOL..I was watching a video clip of Bill Maher and Tucker Carlson the other day and they were talking about Katrina, wouldnt you know it Tucker starts bad mouthing Clinton..Bill Maher said, I thought we were talking about hurricanes and, of course, Tucker kept coming back to Clinton and ragging on Clinton..Bill Maher defended Clinton and said if Clinton was in office he would have been up day and night making sure New Orleans was taken care of, instead of sleeping and on vacation..but dont ya know, if in doubt..BLAME CLINTON..
Nobody is stopping the large crowds of people

But this IS the liberal board, and if you keep posting here, be prepared to have people respond to your posts... whether YOU like it or not.

Sorry....as I remove my rather large foot from my mouth...
at least I will admit when I am wrong...yep, I took the post the wrong way. Soooo sorry.

Yes, the idea of a conservative woman who is a feminist, who is strong and able to meld career and family and do it well scares them...she is a feminist, but with conservative values...go figure. The hard core feminists are now being taken to task by the moderates saying "Hey wait...either you want women to advance or you don't...you want women treated equally or you don't...this is not about liberal or conservative women, it is about women..."

The horse is out of the barn now and I don't think they can put it back in.

I am the OP.  I never said he WAS the antichrist.  I think I said I am not saying he is the antichrist....... or something to that effect.  Anyway, he doesnt have to be anything more than Barack Obama who is not following God to me, for me to not vote for him.  I will be quacking all the way to Heaven by the way!
Yes. There are a number of other lawsuits.
the only place this can play out now could be in the Congress in impeachment proceedings. My HYPOTHETICAL question would be what would the republican party have to gain by pushing this already dead issue forward when clearly the priority is the very REAL issue of the economy? How well do you think that would play out for the pub party if they promote impeachment in the middle of it all. What would be the end result? Biden as president? A supermajority still seated? Call for another election after popular mandate has put the democratic party in the White House, the Senate and the Congress? It is a lose/lose proposition coming out of the party that claims to put country first.
So what does that make you? Number 2?

It is not necessary to post in large bolt font and underlined. sm
I am quite capable of reading what is posted.  I see no way to end this other than having the administrator starting banning people.  I will speak to the administrator regarding all of this.
Like you respected Bush? Give me a VERY LARGE break.
Ridiculous statement. He will get my respect when he EARNS it.

GOP govs with large deficits who are increasing spending are
can be found:

1. Schwartzeneggar, California.
2. M. Jodi Rell, Connecticut
3. Sonny Perdue, Georgia
4. Linda Lingle, Hawaii
5. Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota
6. Haley Barbour, Mississippi
7. Jim Gibbons, Nevada
8. Michael Rounds, South Dakota
9. Jim Douglas, Vermont

BTW, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana is expecting to go into deficit spending this year. Despite being a socialist, commie, Kool-aid drinking comrade, I think the world of Bobby Jindal and the GOP would do well to start moving him up in the leadership ranks. I mention him just because I think it is unfair to judge the governors of any state, regardless of party, as being greedy, self-serving, or any other such nonsense in economic conditions such as these.

I would much rather see tax funds being directed toward education, road construction, infrastructure, social programs, Medicaid, etc, rather than tax cuts for the rich, corporate retreats, golden parachutes, astronomical CEO bonuses, disappearing credit stimulus funding to banks with no accountability and the like.

Read JTBB post again. She has made excellent points that pretty much sum up the situaion. Obama will be hearing from all sides in due time before he decides what to do and how to go about it. Get used to it. This is open commnication. It just looks weird to you after 8 years of behind-closed-doors secret session pseudoleadership issuing forth from hunkered-down bunkers in undisclosed locations.
Obama hopes the stimulus package is large
How is paying for somebody's birth control gonna produce jobs or a 20 MILLION dollar minor league baseball museum, 20 million dollars at a zoo, OR 1.5 million to reduce prostitution in Ohio?   This is nothing but a pork barrel project.........isn't that what Obama said he WOULD DO AWAY WITH?  All pork barrel spending?  What a joke!
If you compare the number of pedophiles in the
general population to the number of pedophiles in the Catholic priest population, you are going to find a rather alarming difference in the percentages.

I am amazed at the number of people...sm
Who would vote democrat this year but are not simply because Obama is half black.  I have heard this more times than I can say.  I live in the south and I know there are sometimes racist people here.  I am a southerner myself, born here.  But I believe Obama is a better choice because we can't endure another 4 years of the same policies Bush has.  Some people have even said I don't like McCain but I won't vote for a black president.  Well I don't care what color he is.  I want to give someone with new policies a chance.  He may not be good but he may.  The fact that people are being so prejudice for his skin color is just ridiculous.  It is just an unbelievable amount of people who are saying this around here.  I went to a halloween party and everyone was like oh my gosh we may have a black president.  I am like oh well if he can do the job what does it matter?  I am like well if he was white based on his policies would you vote for him?  If the answer is yes then that is just being prejudice.  I am not for interracial couples or any of that but when you can't even vote for a black person you have problems.
number 1 Jesus freak here
I truly feel so bad for you guys.  You look at us like we are crazy, hateful, wrong, and judgmental.  You guys just dont get the big picture do you?  That is such a shame.

That's how Osamabinbama's going to win.

Folks are getting snookered.

They'll realize too late, like when they're impeaching the chosen one for gross negligence.

Oh well. He can always become a used car salesman. He's already perfected his look-em-in-the-eyes-and-lie technique. And you simpletons just smile and eat it up and wave your purdy little signs.

Change.

Puhleeeze.
I stand corrected on the Vietnam number
but people who say this is "another Vietnam" and a quagmire is also an erroneous statement.....1,700 is a far cry from 58,000, although EVERY life lost in the fight for freedom is very valuable and not to be taken lightly and I don't think anybody does.....
And that 's not the total number either because it keeps rising. They just can't stay away.
I think it's hysterical.
Health insurance is my number 1 issue

I agree with some of what you said about the state representatives being held accountable.  I did vote for Senate candidates in the last election based on their stances on healthcare.  One of them has been working tirelessly (with many others) to expand CHIP health insurance to kids to more middle-income children in the state, and he was successful!  Now that the income bracket was raised, my 6-year-old has healthcare again, and I am so grateful! (Bush is threatening to veto the legislation that expanded CHIP to more families, though, so I'm praying he does not do that).

I am relatively young (26) and so many of my friends do not vote.  I am always encouraging them to do just that (whether they vote Democrat or Republican), and I think if Senate recall (I think that's what you called it) was in place, more of them might vote.  For now, we just have to hope they keep their campaign promises in hopes of being re-elected.

I know Congress needs to pass the bills on health insurance, and I know many of the Congressmen (on both sides of the aisle) have been bought and paid for by the insurance companies, and that is very disturbing to me.  That's one of the reasons I like Obama so much - I think he is a good man who has not been "bought and paid for" by any big corporations.

I think America needs to cover all medical costs for our children and our elderly, and I hope more Republicans candidates will address that issue.  We need to take better care of our most helpless citizens.

well....number one bashes humble beginnings...
what may I ask is wrong with serving your local community?

I don't have a problem with cleaning up the party if it needs cleaning.

She is pro life - GREAT. She is for marriage defined as a man and woman - GREAT.

Murkowski was crooked as a dog's hind leg and she got rid of good ol' boy politics in Alaska - GREAT.

as to lack of experience...better be careful about that one Your #1 chair has less experience than she has. That doesn't hold water.

this poster acts like it is a bad thing to bring up your own party on ethics...I saw that is what politicians SHOULD be doing IMHO. Put service to the people who elected you above your party. GOOD FOR HER!!!
actually 39% of the country is a pretty significant number....
and the deeper a hole you dig for your candidate, the higher than number will climb. He does not want the spotlight that is suddenly in his face...I cannot figure out how all of you can recite his campaign mantra but don't listen to what the man is saying now....lol

Where were all the voters before?
Good point. I vote in every election, whether it be for president or town dog catcher. It is really pathetic to see the low turnout time after time unless it is the presidential election or a tax overide on the ballot. And I live in a town with a majority of senior citizens, can't imagine how low the turnout would be without them.

When my Dad was alive and we lived in the same town, he would check the list when you first signed in to make sure our names were crossed off indicating that we had voted. Look out if you had not. He was a big bad Boston police officer and you did not want to cross him!
It also comes down to those voters

who had no clue what they were voting for and did no research at all and just voted for the celeb candidate.  How many people did interviewers stop and question about Obama and McCain and they had no clue who was for what or who their VPs were, etc......but they were voting for Obama.

I know that all people have a right to vote but I think sometimes we should really restrict that.  LOL!  Too may ignorant people not knowing who they are voting for but they are voting just to vote.

of this country, contributing to the obesity problem and the rising cost of healthcare. Come on, EVERYONE deserves an honest living wage where they can feed, clothe, and house their families, and that is just not happening, in the NorthEast I see it every day, most families are working two or three jobs, really good for the children and marriages, I respectfully think that is Bull (which it tastes like McDonald's and other fast food places put in their burgers). JMHO
All voters should consider this regardless of which side

It should be very troubling that the mainstream media has been in the tank for Obama since day one.  Ask Hillary Clinton or anyone else who ran (again, R, D, or I).

With that in mind, who gave them the right to choose our next President?

Incidentally, the media (left-wing, of course) actually selected McCain, too.  They were absolutely certain that he would be the weakest candidate.  Mitt scared the holy hanna out of them.  I personally hoped for a Rudy-Fred ticket, in no particular order.

It should be interesting as to how many honest people there are reading this stuff to see how they'll react.  Based on what I've read since Palin's speech, she's certainly changed quite a few minds.

The thing that surprises me the most is that the bulk of people on this board is women, yet so many of them put party above the person.  I personally don't vote by genitalia.  I think it's foolish.

tell that to the voters who are only voting for O

There were thousands of voters........ sm
who voted in this election who were not informed or educated on the issues or the candidates.  I don't see much of a difference, do you?

American voters do not trust

the fact that this is a real "crisis".  Don't want to allow Bush to force congress into another debacle like the funding for the war before he is dragged from the WH kicking and screaming.  McCain is asking for time out so he can rest and catch his breath.

the voters don't decide the election- sm
Perhaps you forgot, or don't even know, that it isn't the voters who actually decide the election anyway. It is the electoral college. We could all boycott (although that would be stupid beyond belief as our voices would not be heard at all) and it would not affect the election results anyway. Get it??
If it weren't for uninformed voters

NEITHER candidate would have a chance.

VOTING BY WRITE-IN VOTE FOR LOU DOBBS!!!!!!!!!

Too bad that over half the voters disagree with you.

There are a lot of voters across America who make

$250,000 or more who are voting for Obama.  These are the same folks who will pay more taxes under Obama's tax plan.  It goes to show even the wealthy who will be taxed more by Obama's tax plan, still want him to be President.  I hear JTP complain but he is not making much money and he owes back taxes.  There must be something right about Obama if the wealthy who are going to get a tax increase, are voting for him.

Of course they did. But at issue here is showing voters
I did not call you an imbecile. I said your posts are imbecilic. Being a hot-headed Obama supporter, according to the red camp, I have no character to degrade, so evidently I have nothing to lose by calling it like I see it. BTW, I've probably done all the growing I'm gonna do by age 64.
Belittling intelligent voters
just end up making you and yours look very, very small. It is sad to see the other party's apparent complusion to tear down something they cannot quite understand. Better luck next time with your candidate, your campaign strategy and your capacity to muster up the hope and inspiration so many Americans are feeling today. Maybe you too can find a way to feel a bit more proud of who you are and who seeks to represent you.
