sorry, they do not trust white people. read up how these people were treated, what do you expect them to love white people, worship us?

not that retaliation is right but perhaps this is not far enough behind us yet in our history, there are still deep deep scars and both sides have so much hate and anger still.

come on though, now are including muslims, I mean, please tell me, who do you like? who is acceptable to you to share the world with.

ever listen to odette? you might try listening, really listening to her songs. ever listen to billie holiday? do you know she saw a hanged black man?

the world did not work the same way for these people.

women who are abused hate and sometimes kill their abusers and yet no one is outraged. people cheered the movie the burning bed, I remember when that came out - yay, she killed the man who abused and tortured her.

I have a friend of mine who has a

few nieces who are biracial and they are absolutely beautiful kids.  I think some of the cutest kids are "oreos."

Alzheimer's patient of a friend of mine

She survived 20 years in la-la land. She never knew anything. Alzheimer's struck her so hard and so fast, she was 6 months before being placed in a nursing home. My friend did not want the feeding tube, but her brother did. Can you imagine my friend going to the nursing home every day and sitting with a shell of her mother for 20 years? That's what she did.

If there is a brain syndrome where the patient will never come out of it, don't let that person suffer. Terry Schiavo never really came out of her brain syndrome, so it was right to let her go. It is cruel to force some patient's to live if there is no hope.

Flame all you want, but that's just my opinion.

Right. A friend of mine belonged to a union recently.

Current-day blacks are not slaves and never were.
nm
'Bitter 200 year ex-descendents of slaves'...
Your comment is inflammatory and blatantly racist, and as a black woman I do not appreciate it.  My father, who passed away some time ago, fought for this country as did many other black men.  When he joined the Army in 1940, it was known as Army/Air Force and was segregated.  He proudly served his country yet what really hurt him was the fact that after fighting in WWII and Korea, the same country that he fought for discriminated against him and did not hide their predjudice.   My family was raised with a work ethic and educated, our family works hard and continues to do so.  Your statement is one of the many reasons why people in this country remain divided because of the apparent underlying hatred, predjudice and stereotypes that you seem to have no problem displaying, and yet I am always told that I shouldn't be upset or react to it.  It is insulting and I am sick of it
Not all Jewish grandparents think the way you do
@@
I think your post is VERY fair; when my own grandparents came to this country, ....sm
it was to become an American, become part of the nation and its society, learn the language and customs, pay taxes, etc. Yes, I believe there should be a time frame for citizenship for this country, we have been way too open on this issue, yes immigrants are welcome in America, but how about becoming American and supporting the country you have come to, as in past generations?
If my grandparents and great parents were alive
They would slap me upside the head and say "Snap out of it. When I was your age I had to walk to school in the snow without a coat and shoes up hill - both ways". My grandmother would then call me pannywaste (whatever that is but when someone was wimpy she'd call them that), and my other grandmother would call me wimpy, whoos, or other words like that.

Our grandparents went through a depression, a couple of wars. They went hungry and went without. My grandfather told me his family was so poor he didn't even have shoes to go to school in. He had to wait for his brother to outgrow his so he could inherit them. They went through worse than us and they survived and they didn't have any government office telling them how to get through it.

I wonder if this new website was part of the spendulous plan (is this where our tax money is going?).

When are people who have any power to be able to do anything going to say enough is enough, your all fired. When people are inept and destroying a country (oops, mean corporation), it's time to fire them. Not them them spend more years in the seats continuing to put the country in ruins.

Same to you, my friend!!

Knowing this is late, I hope you had the best day ever!

So has mine. nm

OK. You are right. I am not. My friend
is not. Don't know why she would bring that up as we drove by gas stations in St. Pete, but obviously she was having a senior moment, was in an altered mental state or just flat-out lying...that is what it probably was, flat-out lying. I know it is important for the right to be right so I acquiesce. You are right and I am not.
Mine too
I was seriously bummed when he left the race. I really think he could have shaken up the party and turned Washington around. Oh well, guess we'll never know.
so are mine nm

MY FRIEND
x
So were mine
I get aggravated too when people lie or use eloquent words to gloss over the real issue.
Neither are mine
x
None of mine
have either.  I usually lurk but I enjoy a good debate and intelligent conversation.
And clearly, neither did mine...
we are still spending money that doesn't exist to try to spend ourselves out of debt. But are you serious that everyone supports the troops? Have you not seen people protesting at military funerals? Or how about the people who stood outside our base with signs that said that all military men are terrorists who only want to murder helpless children. Whether or not you personally know them, there are people who are not behind troops. Take a look at the person who said they die for "no reason." Heaven forbid that my husband does not make it home from Iraq, God help anyone who has the audacity to say to my face that it was for nothing!
Unfortunately, not in mine......

Your friend must have been
hot.........
Your friend must have been

You my friend
scare me and millions of others with your so-called tolerance of death and disease for our children and youth. We should be hating it. AIDS and mental disease is not pretty.
Saddam US friend

Six months after the gassing of Kurds in 1988, the White House lent Saddam a billion dollars.  In 1991, at the end of the Gulf War, US troops stood idly by while Saddam's presidential guards ruthlessly suppressed the uprising by the Kurds that Poppy Bush encouraged and had called for.  In 1980, Saddam was made an honorary citizen of Detroit, Michigan.  He was our friend back then, even though we knew his blood thirsty ways.  We even supplied him with WMD, which we then destroyed with fly over bombing through the 1990's with sanctions placed on the country to weaken it even more.  We also were friends with Osama in the 1970's when we had him and Afghan freedom fighters fight against Russia as we did not want Russia to have control of Afghanistan.  In essence, Osama was trained by our CIA for war.

friend in Vietnam
I had two friend who went to Vietnam, one returned..and yes, he too was traumatized emotionally.  He returned to his parents house and I used to stay over all the time as it was a *hang out house*..had a pool, large yard, you name it..we all hung out there (smile)..anyway, John was in Vietnam in 1969..he used to sent tapes home to his parents and we would all listen..when he returned to his parents house, forget it..you could not wake him in the morning, you would make a noise or call his name and he would jump up ready to fight you..He lived like this for a few years then he married..Since then I lost contact but I can tell ya, this guy had major issues trying to reconnect with **civilization**..I ache for the soldiers who are now fighting..the dead, the maimed and the emotionally and spiritually destroyed forever..FOR WHAT??????
I had a friend on Right Nation who went down there. SM
He lives about an hour away.  He did not gestimate anywhere even close to that.
SP said it, too. In the post above mine. :) NM
..
and you keep making mine

So if something is amiss in the word you don't try to fix it at all you just hope that it goes away?

Would you rather deal with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas before they get nukes or after?  Should we have let Saddam get nukes too?

This whole *Bush was too preoccupied with Iraq to deal with this situation* the Dems are crying is bull. Just like everything else they say in fact.  This situation has been ongoing for years.  The cease fires so touted by Madeline Albright and Clinton have never been true cease fires.  This is a conflict that has been going on ever since there were Jews and Arabs.  This is one situation you cannot historically place the blame on Bush.  Doesn't hold water.  So, if you are so concerned about our President supposedly not knowing history or geographics then I suggest you do some studying of your own, because your history and your perception of it is a little skewed itself.

I'm a friend of Bill!
from the uber-liberal state of Massachusetts. I was just responding to previous post of why Observer posts on this forum.
so was mine, but I guess

the recipient didn't get it . . . .

You keep calling me your friend...

...why is that?  I hope you don't generally treat your friends this way.

As far as me singling people out to torment -- it would only be you and it would be singular.  Plus, I didn't "single" you out, just saw your posts on a PUBLIC forum and as I said, they looked kind of mean and cruddy.  However, I would say you are the PLURAL stalker.  Come one, come all you will take them on and condemn and mock all that folks say on the liberal board!!  And then accuse them of all being the same person.   Lots of paranoia goin' on in that ole brain of yours, doesn't sound very healthy at all!!!   No, sir!!!

It's their own words, not yours or mine. nm

Sam, you give closed-minded people way too much of your time!  Oh well.  It's your call.

They may be off your radar, not mine...

and I base mine on

available information .... don't just pull them out of my bellybutton.

In your world....thank God not in mine. nm

Yes, and Obama has at least 1 friend
nm
Well, Obama does have a friend who could help him
nm
Mine is nm, stopping using that too.
nm
That's her imaginary friend (nm)

All you can do, my friend, is vote.

Everybody gets one vote (hopefully only one) to make her voice heard.  One side has to lose.  Be prepared either way.

Obama's friend
http://noblesseoblige.org/wordpress/2008/10/05/bill-ayers-weather-underground-not-just-anti-war/
close friend
My best friend had an abortion when she was a senior in high school. She was afraid to tell her parents. I took her and her boyfriend paid for the procedure. He did not go with her. Fast-forward 24 years. She has 3 children and has been married for 20 years. Does she regret her decision? Some days she does. Would she do it again? She says she would. She has talked about it with her teenage son and hopes that her children will never have to make the choice. She is a conservative Christian now (Assembly of God) and she still fights for abortion rights.
Your words, not mine.
Got it?
Gourdpainter, can I be your best friend?

Just kidding...  But I like the way you post.  I've found you far more interesting than any others on this board that use monikers.  I don't use a moniker because I don't feel the need to, but I also agree to please let this man have some dignity while he mourns his grandmother.

No President will be able to make any changes overnight.  The President is only as smart as the people around him.

Obama has stated again and again that it will not be easy but that we all must come together.  I have not heard that once from the RNC, but only comments to bash a man because he may have a few beliefs that are different.  He has a beautiful family (without all of the skeletons) and he does not plan for Americans to lose jobs but rather to make more jobs here and give tax credits to companies who hire people right here in the USA.  He does have 2 daughters that will need an education and to prosper on American soil; does anyone not see that or is it just me?

Her message....not mine..(sm)

"If there is an open door in 2012 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plough through that door," Mrs Palin said.

All indictations, from what I see, are that Palin is going to run for Prez in 2012.  I would guess that this means the pubs are going even farther to the right.

I have a friend in the same situation...sm
His father worked for GM and died several years ago, leaving my friend a nice trust fund and health care benefits and pension for his widow who currently is in a long-term care facility. My friend, who is an MT and cannot afford insurance and is in bad health himself, told me that when his mom loses her benefits at the first of the year, he doesn't know what they will do.

I don't know if blame the government for this mess as much as I blame mismanagement by the automakers with their big executive salaries and perks and insistence on manufacturing super trucks and huge SUVs. It seems to me that more could have been done to stem this before it got this far.
Your friend probably just guessed

I doubt she would have any credible knowlege.  Obama came out of nowhere.  The first time I and most other people ever heard of him was when he ran for Senator.  I recall the media referring to him as an "up and coming" politician.

The financial collapse just sure came at an opportune time too didn't it?  I shudder to think what's ahead.  As I've said before, I'll put my faith in God and His will WILL be done in the end.

I have a friend who is there too!! I have to check on her now. nm

The terrorist's best friend.
Is the Taliban on your Christmas card list as well?

You seem to have swallowed the leftist lies hook, line, and sinker.

Let's not forget to honor those hard-working, industrious Nazis while we're at it.

And the Sudanese guerrilas.

And the lonely, struggling serial killers and child molesters and suicide bombers.
Mine's 148, and I'm just "Joe MT".

and you missed mine...
All I meant was she wasn't judging her on her LOOKS, but I believe how she looks at people. does that make sense? She is a beautiful woman and she does love her family, that is great. But I believe the poster was relating her personality... which some find abrasive and a little rude and "above" others you know? you dont see it that way, but some do. that's all. personally i have no opinion of her i dont know enough.
