Could be sensorineural hearing loss, conductive hearing loss, mixed.

Many of our doctors use tympanic when describing the abdomen, and my co-workers and I are not in complete agreement on whether to change it. Can an abdomen be "tympanic" or should it be changed to "tympanitic."

"She was seen in the emergency room on Thursday for severe headache and possible preictal aura.  She had a brain CT that was unremarkable per report which patient S/L: HAN-DE-LE-RIS today.  Also was given Ativan and Toradol."


I thought maybe "handed to us", but it just doesn't sound like that - at any speed.  If anyone has an idea of what this might be, I would be most appreciative!!  Thanks in advance.

It still makes no sense to me ~ if she was already on Flagyl, how could she be switched?  Neither of the drugs you listed (or variations thereof) exist.  There are many antibiotics that sound very similar.  See if you can slow the voice way down.

Loss or absense of the sense of smell. It may be: 1, general to all odorants (total), partial to some odorants, or specific to one or more odorants; 2, due to transport disorders (in nasal obstruction) or sensorineural disorders (affecting the olfactory neuroepithelium or the central olfactory neural pathways); or 3, hereditary or acquired.

in the context of your sentence doesn't make a whole lotta sense.  I was originally thinking the patient lost dentures from the transfers, admissions, etc., so could not eat well, but the "sounds like" word you give is too similar to edentia.
