Subject: 2:1 AV block?

I've heard of type 1, type 2 and type 3, and Mobitz AV block, but can't find anything about 2:1 or two-to-one.  Anyone else heard this?

Subject: TKR...s/l "nano block"???

Total knee replacement, using computer navigation. He keeps mentioning s/l "nano block" and I cannot find this anywhere. I have looked on old reports by other MTs that have even gone through editing and they all have a blank here. He's a terrible dictator, always slurring his words. Does anyone have any idea what he could be saying here? It would eliminate a significant amount of blanks by me and the other MTs and be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks, and have a blessed day.

Subject: When I'm having one of my many "mental block" moments, - sm

I leave a blank, and a notation about where the blank is in the dictation for easy retrieval, but NOT what I think the word sounds like. Then I move on & finish the report. Sometimes if you're lucky the doc will say the word again in the Impressions section, and you'll get it. Other times, if possible I'll hold the report for a while and then go back to it later, or else get up to do something like start the dryer, wash some dishes, use the bathroom, etc., and then go back. Oftentimes after a delay, so that your subconscious can process what you heard, if you go back to it later it'll sound as clear as day. Not ALWAYS, of course, but frequently enough to be worth doing. Hang in there!
