    yes, cotton (or hook) test is correct. Used during arthroscopic or fluoroscopy syndesmotic procedur

    I don't capitalize cotton and have never been corrected, although I'm not sure if capitalized or not, but I don't think so.

    Stedman's Orthopedics has a Coton test.  Can't find Coton test on Google but do find Cotton (cotton?) test.
