Sportmom91 has been posting for help on the word board off and on for some time. We experienced transcriptionists are happy to help her out, as others did for us when we started out.

"WE DON'T CARE" but do you have surgical word books or access to OB GYN terminology book or something? These are very very common words that you should already know if you are an MT.......much less an MT working at home unsupervised.

If you called yourself an MT and sent me back a report with urethral lysis typed in it, you would not have a job tomorrow.

Right wrist "rest"--?? assuming AV fistula. 


 


ANESTHESIA:  @@Local with monitored anesthesia s/l--montra--garis bolus 20 cc. 


 


extremity was prepped and draped in a sterile (not Pfannenstiel) fashion.  The patient was given a 1 gram (instead of low grade--??) of Ancef


 


The artery was then carefully dissected out proximally and distally and little side--?? branches were clipped to help obtain hemostasis of the anastomosis.  The


 


A Potts (pot--??) scissors were then used to form a hood.  It had been marked with a marking pen prior to division 


 


Bull (Markable--??) dogs were used to obtain control of the artery proximally and distally. 


 


The vein was sewn to the arteries using a 6-0 Prolene (pulling) suture in a circumferential--?? fashion. 


 


The wound was then closed (enclosed )in layers using a 3-0 Vicryl suture in the subcutaneous layer in a running fashion and a 4-0 Vicryl running subcuticular (subventricular--??) closure. 


 


The patient was brought out from (and) monitored anesthesia care--?? and taken to the recovery room in stable condition. 


 

Sponge, needle, and instrument counts were reported to be correct at the end of the case--??.
