Is there an occult Gram stain?  If there is not, what could he be saying place of the occult?

Also, I worked in a lab for many years, and gram-negative and gram-positive are not capitalized. Gram is the name of the doctor or scientist who came up with the staining test, Gram stain, so that is capped.
It should be Gram's stain, the formal name, or the result was gram negative.... then not.....nm
