She has a Permacath in her right femoral vein.

How is permacath to be written?  PermaCath, Perma-Cath, Permacath?  And also should it be capitalized?

This word drives me BONKERS.  Can anyone straighten me out as to which one to use.  The doc is definitely saying permacath with the A sound.  Doing an IJ tunneled Permacath or Perma-Cath???? for renal failure.

Subject: PermCath, permacath and Perma-Cath,

Okay, this one gets me too, however, the manufacture I found is listed as Quinton and they make a hemodialysis catheter called PermCath.  I also saw this notation at an Oxford Medical College website referenced.  I use PermCath.
It is PermCath, no such thing as Permacath or Perma-Cath.
