Was this for delivery of a baby?
Subject: Was this for delivery of a baby?

I found several references on googling to torticollis and hemorrhage, either SCM or intracranial, etc., from traumatic/difficult deliveries. I also found a reference to a type of shaken-baby syndrome where they had been playing and tossing the baby in the air. Too late, I'm sure, but just thought I'd throw this in for the heck of it. It's another exciting night here...so studying the word board :-)

Subject: another labor and delivery sm

Dictator says GCCT negative, and I have to expand the abbreviation, and I cannot find anything in my abbrev. books.  This is in the lab testing where they talk about the patient having an O positive blood type, rubella immune, GBBS negative, then she says GCCT or GC CT negative.  Can anyone tell me how to expand GCCT?

Thanks...

word help for labor/delivery report
Subject: word help for labor/delivery report

"but despite adequate contractions with pitocin and (s/l mon of a day) units of 180 to 250, she failed to show any further dilatation."

I can't figure out that (s/l mon of a day). It's all run together like it's one word. I can't find any meds used during labor that sound like that! Or maybe it really says "of a day", then what is the "mon" part?

Any help would be appreciated!

No that abbreviation pertains to the heart, maybe labor and delivery? Just a wild guess.

I have never heard "estimated time of delivery" but I assume that would be ETD.
