word here. Waddell's test is an exam used to determine if someone is faking pain. If the patient has exaggerated complaints of pain it is a positive Waddell's.

I was taught to never change a transcription, even if it's blatantly wrong.  I would leave as dictated and leave a note for the doctor (if you have a place to do it)

What is FUV1, used along with FEV1??  Never heard of it and cannot find.  Also he also states FVC as being forced ventiltory capacity, which I know is called forced vital capacity; wonder if I should transcribe a non-word.

as to what a doctor MAY be dictating. Doctors make mistakes all the time. It is up to the individual MT to check out the validity of any info they ultimately transcribe. That's what I would do. Any MT who transcribes a "suggestion" should not be working as an MT. ;-)

I've gone to every medical website I can find. I have "asked the experts" on various medical websites. Even doctors can't find it! Thank you all for trying. If I come up with anything before I'm 99 years old, I'll post it.
